Stories Tips

What are some stories about the glowbug? Memorable glowbug stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
These guys should be tameable and when tamed, if you pick them up, just like the Queen bee, you will get a charging station. This Charging station can charge up your light pets and anything electrical without any wires, like the Tek generator that cannot power Tek. Everything powered by this will have mini glow bugs surrounding it. ⬆️ To agree
Journey Through All Creatures
Chapter 41: Progress Is Made
Note: Story starts in Achatina, The Island ABC order for Section I, Scorched Earth Exclusives and Aberration Exclusives for Section II and has a Prologue. Last chapter in Bulbdog, next chapter in Glowtail.
Chapters to the end of Section II: 9
A strange light covered her vision as a shadowy figure in the distance appeared. It began to speak, and it was quiet. She could barely hear it, as she had not respawned yet and probably wouldn’t for a long time. She sat in a white void, and the figure in the distance grew bigger.
A voice then whispered through the air something the survivor couldn’t hear.
Then she heard another sentence.
“.- .-- .- -.- . -. / --- -. -.-. . / -- --- .-. . / .- ... .-.- . -. -.. / -.. . ..-. . .- - / - .... . / -..- . -. --- -- --- .-. .--. ..../”
Then there was some weird whirring. Some essence floated through the void, towards the shadow. The essence was red-purpleish, signaling it was damaged. The only way this could happen is if the implant was damaged on death. The shadow floated to the essence.
The essence slowly flew into the figure’s form. There was nothing there. After the essence disappeared into the shadow, the shadow disappeared too. No light remained.
Then after a few seconds, she felt a surge through her body. Some fuzzing, then some hot material shot up through her veins, to her implant. She was created from some essence, which was purple, and redish. She was inside of a white void.
“Where… what happened?” She said deeply. She gasped as she looked at her body.
“What is this?” She said quietly. Then she heard a voice.
“-.-- / -.. .. . -.. /”
She gasped and looked behind her.
“The… Creator? What… how? Where am I? Uh… I don’t remember anything.” She said. Then the Creator floated to the Homo Deus survivor that had damaged essence.
“-.-- --- ..- / -. . .- .-. .-.. -.-- / - .-. .- -. … -.-. . -. -.. . -.. / ..-. .-. --- -- / - .... .- - / -... .-.. .- … - / -.. .. . -.. / .--. . .-. -- .- -. . -. - .-.. -.-- “ The Creator said. The Homo Deus survivor gasped.
“Can I…” She asked, but the Creator interrupted.
“-.-- --- ..- / -- ..- ... - / .-. . ... - “ The Creator said. Then the Homo Deus survivor dissolved into a ball of deus essence and it flowed into the implant inside her left wrist, then the Creator held the implant tightly and disappeared.
Aberration: Day 2
That afternoon…
Dorack turned his body around constantly inside of Nal’s bed, tossing and turning as he shut his eyes. He had gone to sleep and had woken to a strange vision. He thought he saw the Creator and a survivor who had died for good. Dorack groaned as he continued moving, and then he looked up at the ceiling. He sniffled a bit and moved his hands to his chest, then taking some deep breaths. Dorack’s eyes began to water. Dorack sniffled as he then looked around the place. Sodden was out collecting resources to build their big base to keep them organized for the rest of their adventure on Aberration. Dorack decided to stay back and get a nap and process what happened. But he just couldn’t. Dorack sniffled as he lifted his head and sat up. He then put his head down, lying on his belly, and tears began to roll down Dorack’s face. Dorack turned his head slowly to his implant. He was frozen, crying, and had still not processed what happened.
“I… I can’t believe it. I… how did she even die? I can’t…” Dorack whispered, his voice breaking. He opened his implant inventory and looked through the tribe logs to find Nal’s death message, written in gold. He didn’t know what happened, it just said, “Tribemate Nal (Level 0) was killed!” It didn’t say anything about what or who killed her, other than the blast that supposedly killed her. Dorack was in shock, confused. If Nal had really died permanently, her body wouldn’t have decomposed and it’d still be there. Even if it did decompose, her implant would be left behind. Something wasn’t adding up. Dorack was gasping quietly, then lifted his head and looked to the left side of the bed, where Nal had “died”. Nothing was there. All that was there was some blood on the ground. The bed wasn’t damaged, and neither was the floor. Dorack then got up from the bed then sat down near the small blotch of blood. As he got closer, the blood seemed brighter, and didn’t seem very red. He looked closer, then the blood glowed brighter and more purple than red. Then Dorack noticed something inside the blood. It was very small, only a few hundred micrometers and barely visible to Dorack’s vision. Dorack squinted his eyes towards it. It seemed to be a shard, which seemed to not be solid. It glowed purple and was bright yellow. It usually meant dead essence. If Nal had somehow not died permanently, she probably would soon. But it was just not possible. Dorack was confused, so he moved his hand reached out to grab the shard. Then when he softly put his finger on the blotch of what seemed to be blood, the shard then hummed loudly as it began to grow bigger. Dorack gasped and pulled his hand away, then stood up as the shard grew larger and larger, humming louder and shimmering more brightly. Dorack turned his head away to shield his eyes. Then he heard a small explosion. It caused a small burst of wind which shook some of the crafting stations in the hut. Dorack gasped as he looked back around towards the shard. The shard was weirdly shaped, with what seemed to be thorns sticking out of its front and sides, and its top. It glowed pristine and silver, with purple glowing in it. Then he heard a sigh. Then a human appeared inside of the shard, someone who seemed to be Rod.
“I see you’ve taken my promise. If you really want to protect Sodden, you will not tell him about any of this. Nal will stay dead to him. If you do not heed my warning, the consequences may be fatal to all of you. You have 14 days to bring me every artifact, the tributes, turn in your weapons, and bring me this message so you can show me you got it. If you do not cooperate within this time frame, I will destroy the last remaining shard of her stable essence, and that will kill Nal for good, and for real this time. And I will do the same to you, and capture Sodden and send him to Terad for him to be tortured. Serenity can watch it. I expect you to heed my warnings. I’m watching you.” Rod sneered. Then the human dissolved and the shard flashed brightly before shrinking down to its former size. Dorack gasped and sat down on his bed. “Don’t worry, Rod. Your secret’s safe with me. I will never tell Sodden.” Dorack whispered to himself. Dorack put his head down. At most, he just wanted to protect his other best friend. If he had a choice, he would never keep this from Sodden. But he didn’t have a choice. Rod and his tribe had kidnapped Serenity, set up a scheme to fake Nal’s permanent death somehow, and then threatened Dorack. They were in the crosshairs of the Rock Death tribe, a powerful tribe whose tribemates have implant attributes that are super powerful, and Dorack had to do anything he could to stay safe from them, even if it meant betraying Sodden. Dorack was just too scared of the Rock Death tribe because he heard of what they can do and he refused to let his friends go through it.
Later that day…
Sodden carried a stack of stone, wood, and thatch towards the nearby cliff. He had crafted and constructed a ladder that went down the cliff. Sodden began to craft some foundations, then he put them down around the ladder, and built outwards from the ladder. He constructed a 5 by 8 frame of wood foundations, and Sodden then walked to the trees and continued to break them down. As he chopped the trees down, he heard footsteps. He looked behind him and saw Dorack walking out of the base, holding a hatchet in his hand. He walked toward a rock. Sodden nodded his head slowly. “He’s ready to help with the base now. Good.” Sodden said. He turned back around to continue chopping down trees. Dorack walked to a rock and started bashing his hatchet against it, causing cracks in the rocks. Stones dropped from the rock, along with flint, and Dorack picked them up. Sodden got a tree to fall over, and panted as he walked to another tree. Dorack then finished chopping down the rock and walked to another one. He continued to bash his hatchet against the rocks while Sodden chopped down trees. Dorack lifted his hatchet and looked back at Sodden. Sodden stopped chopping down trees and walked to the frame of foundations, began taking out the wood, and using fiber and thatch to tie the wood together and set it down on the ground, connecting it to the other foundations. He continued setting up foundations. Dorack nodded softly and walked to Sodden.
“Hey.” Dorack said quietly, standing on one of the wood foundations. Sodden looked up at him.
“What?” Sodden asked. Dorack opened his mouth but was silent.
“Uh, nevermind. I’ll keep helping you with the base.” Dorack said.
“Still broken from Nal’s death?” Sodden said. Dorack nodded
“Yes. Anyway, let’s keep working on the base.” Dorack said. He turned around and walked away to harvest some trees. Sodden sighed.
“You can go rest and not help if you want. It’s fine.” Sodden said.
“No, no, I’ll help. I wanna help my friends.” Dorack said. Sodden smiled. Then he continued to construct foundations while Dorack continued chopping down trees.

In the Blue Zone/Red Zone intersection…
Two people sat quietly in a bush. One had a white mask and a black robe, the other had a red mask and a black robe.
“Phase two is soon to begin. You sure you picked up the last traces of Reaper here?” The red mask guy asked. The white mask guy nodded.
“Yes. My attribute can detect the trail of anything. We’ll catch the location of Sodden and Dorack in no time!” The white mask guy cackled.

Protectors of Pandora
Chapter 42 ~the drill~
The fire wyvern was looking around suspiciously when her mate said, “calm down, nothing ever tries anything up here.” He said. The two were sitting next to their nest, which was situated in a crag near the drill. “I won’t calm down! At any moment my precious egg could get stolen!” She said angrily. “Don’t you mean our egg?” He said. “Yes, our egg… THAT YOU HAVENT DONE ANYTHING FOR! I’m the one keeping watch and trying to make food for the welps! Do you know how hard it is to make milk!? WE’RE REPTILES!” She yelled. “Hey now! I do-” This argument lasted for about ten minutes before they finally noticed the bat flying away with their egg. “I TOLD YOU CHARR!” she said. He just stood there with his jaw dropped for a few seconds then cried, “EVERYONE! egg thief!!!” Every wyvern on the drill and in the crag flew after Jaxz, but just when the mother almost caught up he dropped the egg. It landed in the arms of Oak, he was riding Bones. Bones tore off through the sand, quite easily outrunning the wyverns, but enough about that.
“Jaxz got it!” Caesar said. Caesar, Stainly, and the other gigantopithicus started the climb up to the drill. “Why (panting) did he have to (more panting) build this thing on the side of the volcano!” Birch said. “Says you! I gotta carry the bloke!” The chief said. They eventually reached the platform where the drill was mounted, it was a large boring style drill (idk if any of you have played the game, Frontiers of Pandora. But I imagine it similar to the large mobile mining drill that you take down mid game, Stainly is from the industrial revolution, but a genius for his time, he could’ve invented clean energy if a competitor didn’t hire that assassin, but that’s a long story…)
“Ok, what do we do now?” Caesar asked Stainly. “Why are you here..” a voice said from under the drill. She stepped out into the light, it was a wyvern, a small orange wyvern. “I am queen Cinder, royalty of the wastelands and former heir to the throne of the ashen forest. I repeat, why are you here..” Cinder said. “your highness, we only wish to deactivate this drill to prevent war with the magmasaurs.” Caesar said. “Deactivate? You are here to take away our lifeblood?” Cinder said. “If you mean the lava… yes. But it’s what must be done to stop this catastrophe.” He said. “No, the magmasaur matriarch must learn her place.. I am the new ruler of this desert.. not her.” She said. “Oh can’t ya just go find another lava pool!” The chief said. “You fools aren’t from around here are you? Large amounts of lava with needed cover, (she gestured towards the crag nearby) are hard to find in this place..” she said. “Well go find another hard to find place then.” Caesar said defiantly. “You aren’t from around here.. are you?” She said changing the subject. “Mesopithicus and gigantopithicus aren’t native to this ark, neither are your giganotosaurus or desmodus friends.” She said. “Wait… you know about other arks…” Caesar said confused. “Of course I do, why do you think there’s no natural habitat for us here. I come from an ark far away..” She said. Caesar was very confused now. “How did you get here?” He asked. “That, is a long story.. but you’ll never be alive long enough to hear it!” She blasted fire at them, they leapt out of the way and scattered, she continued torching the place, melting the very metal they stood on, her fire turned blue, it’s embers flew everywhere, Stainly made a mad dash towards the console, “cover me!” He yelled. “Hey! Little wyvern! Over ‘ere!” The chief said. She furiously blasted her blue-hot fire at him, but she missed, he leapt off the back of the drill platform rolling as he hit the ground. Ceasar got up high and jumped down on her neck, grabbing her crystal-like horns, he guided her flame, using it to melt the support beams of the drill, the structure creaked and he could hear a bolts snap off, the whole drill came down crashing to the ground and sliding down the cliff side, where it exploded. Cinder shook Caesar off and stopped fire-breathing, “Nooo! What have you done!” She said furiously. “Well, thats one way to do it..” Stainly said, he was slightly sad his creation just exploded. Cinder roared ferociously and flew away, heading towards the other wyverns for back up. But they were too far by now.
Bones and Oak kept running until they heard the explosion, then Oak tossed the egg down and Bones ran for it, the wyverns looked back at the drill confused, and the mother picked her egg up off the sand. They saw their Queen flying towards them and flew to her, “YOU IDIOTS! What did I say about leaving the nest unguarded!” Cinder said tail whipping a lightning wyvern. “We are sorry master.. won’t happen again.” A poison wyvern said. “WONT HAPPEN AGAIN! There’s nowhere for it to happen again!” Cinder said scolding him. “At least the nests are alright.” Charr said. “Yes Charr. But don’t think we won’t be taking our revenge..” she said.
The house of madness
Chapter twelve: deja vu?
I’ve had the dream several times. It always starts the same. I’m standing in a square. Then the ground shakes. There are people all around me but I don’t recognize their faces. Everyone begins to panic and everyone is running in different directions. I don’t know where to go but someone urges me on till we come to a house. They tell me to stay right their. Then a bright flash lights up my vision then everything goes black. I wake up breathing hard. I’m in my bed, a large hyenadon sitting on the edge. Who is that? Who am I? Where am I? Wait..why does this feel so familiar? What was my name again? Oh yes, they call me Hailey. Whether or not that’s my actual name, I have no idea. I have a brother, his name is Jaron and I rarely seen him but I know he cares for me. Has this happened before? Deja vu? The doctors say something about the way I think is strange. They say I can be dangerous. Has this happened before? What does that mean? What was my name? Oh yes, they call me Hailey. My father gave me a hyenadon, I call him Brutus. He’s my only friend. I live with my father in this dark castle, this house of madness. What does that even mean? What does the word madness even mean? What was my name again? Why do I feel like this has happened before. Has it?
Hailey sat up and slid out of her bed. She rubbed her head. Brutus looked at her, for a second she thought she saw a hint of sadness in his eyes. “Hi Brutus. Are you okay? You look worried. ” Hailey asked. Brutus sighed. “Yes child I’m fine.. I was only worried for you.” Hailey opened her mouth to ask him what he meant when a knock sounded on her door. “Yes?” Hailey asked. “Your…father wants to see you about something important.” Marv said. “Okay Marv I’m coming!” Hailey said.
Hailey and Marvelo walked until they came to the throne room. Her father was sitting on a black throne. “Sir, your….daughter has come to see you.” Marvelo said. “Good. You may leave. All of you.” Tom said. Everyone left except for him and Hailey. Tom rose to his feet and studied Hailey for a second. “You’ve grown up.” Tom said. Hailey stood silent for a minute. Had this happened before? She could swear she’d done this before. She cleared the thoughts away. Then Hailey giggled. “But I just saw you a few months ago!” Hailey said. Tom nodded. “Yes, I wish we could see each other more often but…I’m very busy as you know. I have scheduled you in the training room with the rest of the team you are in. You’ll be working primarily with a man named Daniel. He’s a little weird but I’m sure you’ll like him. And Brutus can come to. ” Tom said. Hailey grinned. “Ok! Thank you father!” She exclaimed. She suddenly rushed forward and hugged him. Tom was shocked for a second. Never got old. He patted her on the back until Hailey let go. She waved goodbye and then a guard led her out the room to the training center.

The megalocarnophobiadiceratosicario (the ridiculously long name is deliberately that long, roughly translates to
"great meat eating fear with two horns murderer"
The megalocarnophobiadiceratosicario, or MCPDCS.
Was a massive monster from the dunes of scorched earth,
MCPDCS was HUGE he was bigger even than a titan!
He looked like a giant snake, his body as large around as a titanosaur, with a massive carno like head and jagged teeth that could tear down whole mountains,
He swam under the dune sea, feeding on alpha deathworms and swallowing whole villages off the map when he felt like it,
But one day, the overseer of scorched earth, the manticore, and the two other guardians of scorched decided that he was causing too much of a problem, they sent it to the manticore's homeland,
Where it battled the manticore, the battle was finally ended when the manticore flew down MCPDCS's throat and tore apart the monster's innards,
And megalocarnophobiadiceratosicario's bones still lie in the manticore arena.

Chapter 21: Familiar Faces
Part 3/4
“Heh heh, that’s cool, that’s kinda like my ability,” Ruby responded, “I can craft things super duper fast.”
“Oh seriously? Then I think we can make a great team!”
The four of them all laughed, and then Simon told them what he could do.
“I am Simon, the strongest boy here in the Book Club,” Simon said while flexing his muscles. He was indeed pretty ripped. He had sandy hair and his clothes were fit to burst. Unlike the other Book Club members he had metal tools instead of stone ones. He also carried a thick looking backpack on his shoulders.
“If you’re wondering, I can carry an infinite amount of things,” Simon revealed, “I guess all those years of carrying sandbags to and from school… They don’t call me the Sand Master for a reason.”
“You can carry an INFINITE amount of things?!” Neddy gasped.
“Yeah, pretty much, except sometimes I don’t even have room to put them anywhere, so that’s the only problem with my ability…” Simon murmured, “Well, I’m responsible for going out and gathering materials for Bobby here to build. It’s a good arrangement, I’m glad things turned out this way. At least I didn’t end up like Gary and have to hunt stuff, that sounds really scary.”
“Gary? As in Gary the Ghost Gamer?!” Neddy gasped in shock. Bobby grinned and gave a thumbs-up.
“Yep that’s right, the famous MrGhostGamer himself, didn’t think a pro gamer would be in the book club reading and writing along with the rest of us?” Bobby snickered.
“Dude… I’m like his biggest fan! I’ve always wanted to talk to him! But I would think he wouldn’t want to talk to some stinky guy like me in computer engineering.”
Ruby slugged Neddy on the shoulder and laughed.
“Oh come on Neddy, you don’t stink! And if you really think you do you can go to the river and wash off. It’s right in front of camp.”
“I guess you’re right… Maybe I should go take a swim in the river some time soon, it’d be relaxing.”
Simon cleared his throat, and the two redirected their attention to him.
“Yeah well, he’s actually pretty nice. I’m sure you two can be buddies in no time,” Simon said. Suddenly, Skyler shouted out that a meeting would take place. Bobby and Simon explained the routine to Neddy and Ruby, and thus everyone headed to the campfire.

Ben, who had just awoken from his memory, remembered that he needed to check on the plants that he had helped grow with his…
“With my power,” Ben continued. As he continued to stroll to camp, he looked at the hibiscus flower he still had on him. The flower he had kept with him since his birthday all that time ago. The only thing that was left of-
“I need to stop thinking about that,” Ben muttered to himself, “Or else I will see another memory.”
After walking around to the back of the camp, he saw that all of his crops were growing well. Some were already developing fruits, much to his delight. By digging through the bushes of the island the Book Club had been able to discover some seeds that they wished to grow for crops. Ben looked at the many crop plots and saw carrots, potatoes, lemons, and corn growing from the soil. Amazing.
“And… Where is Sunny?” Ben asked aloud.
Right upon saying those words, Ben was ambushed by a girl with bright, orange hair that was white on the end, almost as if she looked like a fox. Frightened by the incursion, Ben jumped in fear and let out a shrill scream. Somehow.
The girl laughed and pointed at Ben, “Ha ha! Looks like I scared you! Don’t worry, I was just grabbing fertilizer for the crops to grow!”
“Oh, sup Sunny,” Ben said with a sigh of relief, “I’m back from the expedition. I managed to find four recruits.”
“And are they good people? They aren’t like bullies, are they?” Sunny wondered.
“No. They are not,” Ben answered, “We even got the valedictorian, Aurora. They’re actually quite the fun bunch, I must say. But, two of them give me bad vibes. No, scratch that, THREE of them give me bad vibes.”
“Oh? Why?”
“Samuel, Aurora herself, and… this weird dodo bird that Samuel keeps around, Star,” Ben explained, “Aurora seems awfully quiet, especially around Samuel, but apparently she turned to leave and abandon the other two, Neddy and Ruby, so I don’t trust her.”
The sea sausage (surprised nobody has made this yet.)
The sea sausage was a huge basilosaurus, about the size of a alpha tusoteuthis! This huge creature was king of the sea, he was very, very, lazy and told his minions to go do things for him. The things the minions mostly did was protect and find food for the sea sausage. Though, one fateful day, a human with a army of basilo, mosa, and tuso attacked the sea sausage, killing all of his minions, and injuring the sea sausage. It was said the sausage swam deeper, into a cave, and headed deeper into that cave, and because the sea sausage wasn’t smart, it died from the pressure.
-Lamprey
I’m surprised no one has made a myth about this yet.
Giganatosaurus Devourus
The Giganatosaurus Devourus was a species of Giga that was only known to live on Scorched Earth and Ragnarok. They were so huge, some could even take on Titanosaurs. They are now extinct, thankfully, but it is unknown what killed them. You can find skeletons of them scattered around scorched earth and Ragnarok. Some say the overseers chose one to become the guardian of another Ark and killed off the rest. Whatever the case, they still haunt the nightmares of survivors.
You can use Giganatosaurus Devourus, but only in two ways, otherwise it won’t make sense.
1. Your story takes place during the far past and also takes place on Ragnarok or Scorched earth.
2. You make up a new Ark (But I kind of want to do that after I finish the Allo Tooth Necklace so ask me first.) and make it the Guardian of that Ark.

ARK Myths: Sabaku no ō
(This means King of the Desert in Japanese. Yes, I’m googling this.)
Sabaku no ō was the king of the Deathworms in Ragnarok. His army of sand worms battled the Iceworm Queen and her Ice Army for hundreds of years. One day, Sabaku no ō sent in Rock Golems to the MurderSnow along with his forces. Their brute force killed many ice worms that day. Sabaku no ō died soon after from disease, but the Ice Queen was still afraid. She took her minions into the Ice Tunnels, where they stayed forever.

Neddy and Ruby were wandering the lone camp of the Book Club, trying to find some new people to meet and make new friends. After fighting for their lives the past 24 hours, they were eager to meet someone who wasn’t out to kill them.
“Hey Ruby, do you think we’re going to meet anyone we know here?” Neddy asked Ruby. Ruby shrugged.
“No idea. I didn’t even know we had a book club at Terran High. You know there was so much beef and drama going on, I would think people wouldn’t be occupied with… reading.”
Ruby paused as she stared at a boy who was sitting by the campfire and reading without a care in the world. The book was old and torn, but there was a clear title on the book, “A World of Dinosaurs”. The boy had thin, blonde hair that was brushed back and a fresh set of cloth clothes. He too had an implant like the others.
“Can you believe this guy? Reading at a time like this?” Ruby asked with disbelief in her eyes.
“I can’t believe it at all… And I thought I was the biggest nerd on this island.”
The boy’s head suddenly tilted up, and he stared at the two dead in the eye. Then he got up, put his book away, and walked up to the two.
“Hey there, I don’t recognize you… You two looking to settle down here with the rest of us humble bookworms?” the boy asked with a smile.
“Oh, he seems nice,” Ruby thought, “Maybe I shouldn’t have said that…”
“Yeah, yeah we are,” Neddy said, reaching his hand out to shake the boy’s. They both shook hands and introduced themselves.
“My name’s Neddy, and this is my friend Ruby,” Neddy told the reader, “The one named Ben was able to bring us here safely, so I gotta thank him for that. He’s a pretty cool dude, and this seems like a pretty nice place. You all did some good work here.”
“Oh thank you so much,” the reader replied with a smile, “I don’t do much around here though… I mostly help feed the animals and I try my best to help people out. My name is Rick, if you’re wondering. I consider myself a hardcore reader if I do say so myself.”
“Well, how many books have you read?” Ruby asked curiously.
“Hmm, that’s a tough one, I’d say at least a few thousand?”
“WOW, that’s a lot…” Ruby spoke with shock.
“Yes, it seems crazy, I know, but books are just like my bread and butter. I love reading a lot, it’s why I joined the Book Club all the way back in freshman year. I was one of the first members,” Rick said, “I’ve been around so long people have literally called me the ‘One Who Reads’. I appreciate the title, but I’ve always wanted to write too.”
“Oh writing? That’s pretty nice, have you got any book ideas or started writing yet?”
“Yeah, it’s right here, actually,” Rick said while pointing at the book he was carrying, “I always carry it around with me to remind myself that I can become a better writer if I put my mind to it. And I know I can.”
“That’s very admirable, Rick,” Neddy said, “Well you have any other cool individuals you want us to meet?”
“Hmm, you can go meet the builder of the settlement. He touched that beacon and then he was able to make a bunch of huts for us to live in. I love the guy for it. Right now he’s probably at work building some more things, so I’m sure if you walk around and look for him you’ll find him.”
“Oh, okay, well thanks! And nice meeting you!” Ruby said. The two walked off, leaving Rick to read his book in solitude once more.
~
Meanwhile, Samuel and Aurora were patrolling the western side of the camp. Samuel wanted to take this opportunity to get as much information and details about Ben as he possibly could.
“I need to know what his implant attribute is. And more importantly, what his deal with this camp is. I need to know what his story is like,” Samuel thought as his eyes wandered meekly.
Eventually, the two ran into a small little pen that was filled with giant snails. The snails were purple and had orange shells, and as they crawled around the dirt they left a sticky sediment, which two people were collecting. A tall looking boy with a deep tan and brown hair, and a goth girl with a black lipstick and thick boots made of dinosaur hide.
“Hey, you two,” Samuel called out the two. The two looked up, and the boy waved while the goth girl just raised her eyebrow.
“What do you want?” the goth girl asked sternly.
“Relax, Paige, they are probably new people here, I think Ben brought them here, as Tiffany had requested,” the boy beamed with joy. Paige squinted her eyes at Samuel, then walked up to the two.
“Well this is just freakin’ great. We got the sassy little valedictorian here with some rude chump who thinks he owns the place. Who do you think you are?” Paige sneered. Aurora stared at Paige with discontent.
“Paige!” the boy warned, “Don’t be mean.”
“I do whatever I want, Chris,” Paige snarled back. Just like Ben, they also had stone tools on their belts, but Paige had a club strung to her back that looked like it could knock someone out with one fell swoop. She also had a black shirt with the words “Goth Power” plastered on it. Samuel didn’t even know you could make a shirt like that here on this island.
“I don’t mean to be rude,” Samuel reassured her.
“Don’t care. What’s your business here?”
“Nothing, we just wanted to say hello,” Aurora scoffed, “Jeez. What’s your damn problem?”
“Whatever. Sorry, I guess,” Paige replied while rolling her eyes, “I’m Paige.”
“I’m Samuel,” Samuel introduced himself, “This here’s my ally Aurora.”
Then Samuel picked up Star, showing her to the two proudly.
“And this here is my buddy Star.”
“A dodo bird? Really?” Paige said with unamusement.
“Yes.”
Chris’ face brightened as he saw the dodo bird.
“Hey, I have one too!” Chris said cheerily. Star looked like she was about to gag, “Although, he’s not very bright.”
Chris looked over at a dodo bird that had an abnormally big beak. It seemed to struggle to walk, and it constantly bumped into the fencing.
“Maybe they could be friends,” Chris suggested wholeheartedly.
“No,” Samuel replied swiftly as Star shook her head, “But, we do mean to ask: Do you guys really know Ben?”
“Oh, Ben?” Paige laughed, then she began to recall, “No. Not really. He’s only been around Terran High since senior year. I heard he moved schools, that’s why. Something about his old school being filled to the brim with bad people.”
“So Ben’s only been around since senior year. No wonder why I haven’t heard of him. He sounds like the type of guy who would get himself involved with the school,” Samuel pondered. Then he turned to Chris. “What about you?”
“Oh Ben’s a fun guy to talk to. Sometimes I feel a little bummed cause it feels like I don’t fit in with the others,” Chris shared, “I’m not a writer like most of them are, and usually I can’t make it to meetings because I’m too busy. But he always plays card games with me, which is nice of him.”
“Wait, wait, you’re saying the people here are also writers?”
“Yeah. Most of them are. Some of us aren’t, like Paige here, and… Skyler.”
“Skyler’s not a writer,” Samuel realized, “Hmm. So she’s just a reader, and she really seems to believe in this Obelisk story of hers being the true story of this place. But Ben and Tiffany think it’s something else. Who do I trust? How will I escape this island if nobody knows which is the correct scripture?”
“Oh and, Ben is not a writer.”
“What?”
“He is not a writer,” Chris revealed, “Actually, he WAS. He was a writer. Yes. I remember it now. He said he had this story that meant a lot to him. But he said he never had the heart to finish it. I don’t know why.”
“This information is getting me nowhere,” Samuel thought grimly, “I was just trying to figure out who Ben was and now I’m getting this sappy crap. I’m done digging. Ben’s off my radar for now.”
“Well thanks for that, you two,” Samuel thanked the two, when suddenly Skyler’s voice cut through the air.
“TIME FOR OUR MEETING!”
“Oh, it’s the nightly meeting. Well all of us should go then, it’s usually very important,” Chris explained. Paige nodded in agreement, and the two walked off while Samuel and Aurora followed.

Neddy and Ruby, before being interrupted by the bell, were chatting away with the builders of the settlement, who introduced themselves as Bobby the Survivor and Simon.
Bobby the Survivor was a very bulky, very strong, young boy who was responsible for building the houses and other structures of the camp, their sole defense against dinosaur threats.
“My gem allows me to build things super fast,” Bobby explained as he pointed at his gem, “It’s like instant! I’m amazed I can do something like this. Well it makes sense, I’ve always wanted to be a construction worker.”

“WOW. The valedictorian decided to just abandon them?”
“Yeah, but I think they’ve made up, I think. But I wouldn’t say to put it past her to just leave us and take our resources. I am going to keep a close eye on her,” Ben decided, “And that Samuel guy, I think he was the leader of their little group. I know they claimed Aurora was, but, maybe it’s a hoax to throw me off. His eyes are very creepy, it’s like there’s nothing in them.”
“Hmm, so you don’t think they should be trusted?” Sunny asked.
“I think we can trust them, they don’t seem evil, but we should just be careful around them. We don’t know what they’re planning.”
“And what about the dodo bird? How does it even relate to all of this? It’s just a stupid little bird, right?”
“No. It is not,” Ben reasoned, “It’s very smart, actually. It almost acts human, I can even see into its eyes. It's like an explosion of orange and red, even though they’re so small and beady.”
“That is weird.”
“Not only that, but Samuel does not refer to Star as an ‘it’, but as a ‘she’, almost as if she was one of them, and not just a steed of war,” Ben said, “It might sound a little crazy, but what if, what if this dodo is a human? We don’t know their implant attributes, and what if that dodo is a shapeshifter who can turn into dodos and unsuspecting animals and then wreak havoc when the moment strikes-”
“Okay relax, relax,” Sunny reassured him, “There’s no way they could do that. There’s more of us, less of them, and we have the scriptures to help guide us. We have an advantage they don’t, okay? For now, just leave it alone,” Sunny said.
Ben sighed, rubbing his forehead.
“You put your faith in people too much, what if they’re dangerous and hurt us?”
“They won’t. You said it yourself that they didn’t seem evil from their eyes,” Sunny said, “And besides, what good is living if we don’t have faith in the people around us?”
“TIME FOR OUR MEETING!” Skyler suddenly screamed out into the air.
“Oh, well I guess it’s time for the meeting,” Sunny said. She patted Ben on the shoulder, “Come on. Let’s go.”
Ben nodded, and the two walked off.
The Swampling (I just had to)
The Swampling is a tiny little fuzz ball that lives in the swamps of whatever planet Fallen World takes place on (I haven’t actually decided the name of the planet). They are very similar to a jerboa in appearance, but have long, furless legs with webbed feet to help them traverse the swamps that they live in. Swamplings live in burrows with others of their kind, they live in ‘packs’ with an alpha controlling the rest of them. They are often hunted by creatures like Swamp Badgers, but are known to fight back quite viciously. Swamplings have sharp, pointed claws on their feet, they use these, along with the sharp claws on their forearms, to attack predators. However, the swamplings have two dark secrets: hidden in each of their wrists is a poisonous dart which they can stab predators with, leading to the slow and painful death of whatever was unfortunate enough to get a Swampling angry. The other secret is a pair of huge fangs dripping with deadly venom, so a single bite leads to a slow and painful death.
Bet you weren’t expecting something so cute to be so deadly!

Part 2/4

Chapter 21: Familiar Faces
Part 1/4
Goliath
Deep in the redwoods of Valguero, a creature lurked, absolutely massive, diplos and brontos were food for it, it stood up to all of the redwoods predators and some say it even faced the Broodmother and won in hand to hand combat, this was confirmed when its rotting corpse was found in Goliaths lair. Goliath was a massive, bipedal creature with a nearly koala like appearance and claws as long as a therizinos. One day, it left the redwoods and journeyed across valguero, slaughtering Rexes, decapitating gigas, wrestling with mammoths and dragging wyverns out of the sky to bludgeon them to death with giant clubs of ice. Somehow, Goliath managed to battle and kill the bosses of valguero, and ascending off to some other Ark, nobody knows exactly where Goliath is now, but all we do know is that he is the mightiest creature on the Ark...
So, what do you think!? (And I do want an answer)

ARK Myths: Venenum Tenebris- By Swamp Guy
(Venenum Tenebris approximately means Dark Poison in Latin)
Venenum Tenebris was a massive Megalania who waited in the depths of aberration for prey to come. Once, a giga wandered there from some unseen place. The skeleton of that unfortunate giga still lies in the Grave of the Lost.
The venom of Venenum Tenebris was strong enough to melt element. Every day, he would bathe in the molten element. His hide was so thick, not even a tek bomb could break it.
One day, Venenum Tenebris was searching for his prey when he came upon a survivor with an army of Basilisks. The fearsome snakes slayed the Megalania minions of VT. The survivor then sent them on Venenum Tenebris. The giant beast’s hide was finally penetrated, and when it was knocked into the element, a hole was carved through it, killing it.
The minions of Venenum Tenebris fled Aberration, never to return. They hid on the ceilings of the other ARK’s caverns, killing any survivor who crossed their path.
Swamp Guy- Yep, I’m writing myths now. Yep, I found an English-Latin converter on google.
Tyrannosaurus Gigan
Sneak peek for The Allo Tooth Necklace!
The “Raiders” as the Tooth Bearers called them, had not just wanted to raid the inhabitants of The Island, they wanted to rule them. To do this, they knew they had to have a weapon more powerful than the Bearers could handle. They created a cross-breed between Giganatosaurus and Tyrannosaurus, and created the species Tyrannosaurus Gigan. It has the loyalty of a Tyrannosaurus, so it won’t attack its rider when angry. It combines the ferocity and size of a Giganatosaurus with the Loyalty and biting force of a Tyrannosaurus. This combination of two of the top predators of The Island makes it the Ultimate fighting machine, but with weaknesses, such as its clumsiness due to having Tyrannosaurus sized legs and Giganatosaurus sized arms, so it has some slight balance issues.
Praedo Homines (Destroyer of Men)
When the Arks were being made, they experimented with some of the islands most dangerous creatures, combining them all into one. They made it so strong, that it killed everyone in the facility and escaped into The Island. Nobody knows about it because nobody has lived to talk about it. It has fifty teeth that are as sharp as steak knives and camouflage. Their is no description for it because no one has seen it and lived. it's at the top of the food chain and it knows it. Only one person has seen it and he hasn't spoken of moved in ten years. The howling noises you here aren't ambient ones, it's the Destroyer of Men.
