So I built 8 bolas I never tamed one yet but I'm planning to because of the good speed and damage I saw 2 take down a mammoth so yeah I really want because I want pelt to explore the artic more so I'm gonna land on a cliff with my ptera tranq it I must have it's saddle ready so pls guys I really hope I get one so I can explore the artic more (and atleast outrun sabers )I also need it for redwoods

I make a a few tranq arrows grab me a bow and hop on my pterenodon and head to the snow when I get there u can some time find ankylo or the mammoth fight some sorta predator when they kill it USW YOUR PTERENODON TO HARVEST THE MEAT u will get prime meat easy then find your wolf tranq him up, when he is all tamed uo make sure u take everything u want from it's inventory then get it to a safe place and leave it there and head back home, request your wolf so he can teleport to u (use two fingers to tap the left side of your screen while on it back and it will give u some sorta buff I always mistake it for alpha lol

I just go in yeti cave kill it revive it trap it and tame it boom u have a wolf

You also could breed them

Tip for mobile people: You can kill the very high level dire wolves in the yeti cave and revive them later if you get it’s implant. It costs about 30-32 amber, and you can tame them to get a super OP wolf! Great for both the yeti cave and the swamp cave, especially when you equip one with a good flak helmet

For anyone on mobile with a ton of amber you can go into the Artficact of the strong cave, kill one take its implant and revive it for a super high level one.

If u are taming this guy u should have little planing after u find him don’t kill hi whole tribe leave them when ur ready then kill his tribe

Here’s a tip, dire wolves aren’t even hard to tame. I didn’t even use a trap to tame mine. Go on a flyer or a fast mount and get the wolf you want to follow you down a hill where it can get out and simply stand on something high enough and shoot it till it knocks out. With level 20-30, use prime meat it makes it so easy to tame. Then enjoy your snow puppa and even use him as a house pet! (Any dire wolf doesn’t require a saddle to ride).

I have question so went in a artic cave a found a high level can I tame it???????

If you're playing on Mobile, you can set up two auto-turrets in the second open area of the Strong Cave, and they'll kill all the high level enemies swiftly. You can then grab an implant off a high level wolf and revive it for a super easy high level tame.

How to tame in 2 methods:

Method 1:

Bola it and knock out with tranqs

Method 2:

Build a trap and use an argy to carry ur wolf to the trap

(The wolf can hit ur argy)

Honestly, just make a trap, get an argentavis, pick up the wanted direwolf, and drop the diré wolf in the trap.

Mobile: Used my mammoth. Climbed in rock the wolves couldn’t get to. Mammoth killed all the low levels. Tamed high level with 2 toxic arrows. 5 prime meat later I got my first puppy. Off to get a high level male and maybe another female.

Sneek into the corner of the ice land. You will slowly lose health so bring warm clothes. Go slowly and cautiously, it’s hard to find one alone. I was very lucky, the pack will separate, and wait for one to go near you.

Bolas work on them, don’t stop punching! Once it loses consciousness, give it about 20-30 meat then leave. It’s torpor is very slow so don’t worry about any narcotics.

Once your inventory spot says it’s tamed, either go find it or teleport it towards yu.

No saddle needed! You have a fire wolf!

Get more every day!

Run straight. Dont look after you. Take bola camp fire meat narcos and slingshot.

Taming Tip

Get argy

Make a small room at a safe zone (with door)

Trap wolf in the room (kill off any low levels if needed)

Open the door, throw a bola, if you miss close the door, if you trap them knock ‘em out

Feed food of your choice!

Repeat 100 times until you have an army of mass destruction!

I’m on mobile and I killed and revived 2 max level wolves and bred them to make a super OP wolf. He’s currently lvl 446 and I use him to no joke speed run the Ice cave multiple times to gather a lot of rewards and blueprints.

Easy to tame, I normally don't even use a trap.

Just grab a handful of bolas and tranq arrows, darts or whatever you're using to knock it out. Then simply find the wolf you want, bola it and insert tranqs into it's head. Put meat in its inventory once it's down.

Boom you have wolf 🐺

Build a stone 2x2x1 and grab a argentavis and drop one in the 2x2x1 and tranq away. They can't jump at you to bite you just place a ceiling on the edge of the 2x2x1 and shoot.
