If you can TAME TAME TAME!!! No saddle needed and these things are almost as fast if not faster than raptors! Their stats are jacked up and jump incredibly high! It’s not easy for low level players but this thing is soooo worth it!!!

Best way to knock out is to go on a tanky sabertooth. Once you find a pack, ride in and bola all of them. Then, tame or kill whichever you want, and none of them can stop you.

For the Dire wolf I suggest that you kill it's pack mates and bola it, knock it out and use kibble or prime meat.

Best Way To Tame Yourself A Pack Of Wolves Is To Clear Out The Area Of Where The Wolves Are, (If You Have A Argy Just Tame Them At Your Base) Get Ontop Of A Large Rock That They Cannot Jump On And Shoot Them In The Face Until They Get Knocked Out. 10-5 Lvl Will Take Around 5 Arrows

Here’s how to tame:

Take a good level argy with high health and find these guys. Make sure to have fur armor for the cold. If not, you can find them at the edge of the snow biome. Once you locate some, you have two options. The first one is to quickly land a build a stone trap. Then you pick up the wolf and put it in (2x2). Or you take it back to your base and make a trap there, which is safer, but a rougher ride home for your bird. Once it is in a trap, it cannot do anything to you. You just KO it. It doesn’t need narcotics usually. Enjoy your oversized dog!

Just build a large trap out of stone then use a high level argentavis to pick the wolf up and drop it in trap. Then you can take your time gettin supplies needed for taming. The are natural traps around island that can be used. And that trap you build can be use for other animals like equus etc. My highest dire wolf tame was lev. 300. Now I have 5 wolves time to breed them. And I can go anywhere on island with my wolf pac and dire bear. Dire bear are great they carry a ton and do lots of damage.

Shoot from the top of a rock and kill the ones u dont want, then take the one u want.

Pick it up with a Argy bring it to a trap shove full of tranqs and use some car o kibble

If taming early game use a bola and tranq it

Just bola and shot tarnq arrow and boom it's yours

So I built 8 bolas I never tamed one yet but I'm planning to because of the good speed and damage I saw 2 take down a mammoth so yeah I really want because I want pelt to explore the artic more so I'm gonna land on a cliff with my ptera tranq it I must have it's saddle ready so pls guys I really hope I get one so I can explore the artic more (and atleast outrun sabers )I also need it for redwoods

Dire wolves are good tames. To knock one out get a crossbow with tranq arrows. You can build a trap for the one you want. Then shoot it. Soon it will be KO! Then just get prime meat, mutton or kibble to tame it. It’s torpor drops quite fast so get some narcotics. When it’s tamed it’s all urs!

All I do is find the wolf I want then I kill the rest of the pack with my trike and bola the wolf I want and knock it out with my hands that’s it

Just bola then away from other hostile Dino’s. I don’t use a trap and I just bola them all usually and two eight tranqs to the head. They don’t need a saddle either and getting a pack will be very useful to defend your base.
