Lead the dire wolf's off the cliff then shoot the others that u don't want then shoot it I personally like tranq darts u don't need anything to keep in unconscious.

How to tame one? Use tranc arrows. Once it’s knocked out use meat to tame it.

I need to tame it with 2 narcotic arrows because they kill me easily and I need it to have 3000 health all of them

To the person who asked how to find one go to the Arctic that place is swarming with them

These creatures are unstoppable in packs u need to go to hard zone 1 2 or 3 to find them. I try to separate them by baiting them with food and putting all them in a pen made of those wooden spike walls and I hit them with tranq arrows and fed them stacks 20 stacks each was good enough for me and for the bait I got on one of my fastest creatures so that they wouldn’t catch us so I recommend a very fast land creature or a bird to bait them

I believe the only way to get a full imprint on a baby wolf is to use eery candy if you don’t use it you’ll still get 95-99% imprint

By far easiest way is to seek out the alpha with a spyglass then hop on your argentavis, snatch the alpha and fly to a safe location to Bola & tranq. Super easy this way and very few materials

Funny how I have found an wolf that’s 150,male and it’s tan with a darker tan on the secondary fur and I tamed it and named it Alfred Alfer….Plus he lived a good life between 159 - 213 days ( ark days ) R.I.P Alfred Alfer..You’ll be missed forever ( P.S yes I do like Alfred’s playhouse even tho it’s traumatizing due to it being related to the creators life *Emily Youcis* )

Don’t die if you do you lose your stuff so I recommend separating the pack from the one you want to tame then trap the one you want to tame and tranq it I would recommend taking a fjordhawk with you with a bed in a 1x1 nearby so you get your stuff back

I go with a shotgun in snow biome kill argy’s get prime meat knock out the wolf and tame

I have tamed ice cave direwolves on mobile in brutal mode. Try to tame a male and have him come out at level 1000. Breed him with low level females or level 890 females and go for the perfect level 940 babies. Zero mutations on one of my perfect pups and pumped all 60 levels into speed. With a gold collar and breeding bonus the dogs reach max speed of 449.9% which is hella fast. My tanky dogs with nearly capped riot and flak helmets can take on level 300-450 gigas until the hat breaks. Still experimenting with this. Max melee and health is the goal.

Use prime meat, 3 should be more than enough for a level 50-1000 it works for me! Tranq arrows work perfectly aswell!

Bola it and name it if it is tamed get a tribe because other Dino bother

I tame these things ASAP on any map I can, at level ten you can just bola and club/sling shot them with regular meat to tame. And with no saddle necessary you know have a fast and highly combative mount with great collection and weight cap. Any decent wolf can protect you against raptors and a good one can even shred carnos for you on your early game ventures. Enjoy!

Hi and today TAMING LESONS so first I'm confused one person said they saw 4 high leveled direwolf on ps4 bolaed them and killed the low levels and then they say tame as much as you can why? Just why? -kiraXwolf

On mobile you can go in the snow cave to get the implant of a high level and then revive it and tame it

Easiest way to tame is to pick one up on an argie, take it to a trap you’ve built(a square stone trap with a ramp will work fine) and tranq arrow it until it’s asleep and feed it meat then wait for it to tame. I’ve got 6 now all named after characters from game of thrones.

Go on high ground so it can’t reach yuh use a cross bow with lots of tranq arrows I prop would recommend raw prime meat or raw mutton it would be a good way to tame it quicker and use narcotic so it won’t wake up and murder you✅

If ur on the island in the ice/strong artifact cave if u sit at the front right before the entrance they can’t attack u so can sit back tranq them and since it’s a cave they r like level 300 + on some of them I think max is four hundred get a pair and breed them good early game and u can go to extinction if u want and do element veins they r small so they don’t get stuck alot still do but they shred the creatures and have a good pack boost I did a 25 k vein with low levels like 230 ish wolfs and they SHRED no dead wolfs and like no damage on veins also good for caves best cave mount on all non water caves in my opinion

(On mobile) while taming knocked out 2 wolfs, put food but no narcotics ,lost them they just dissapeared from their locations, gived up because it said on dododex it required narcotics (lvl 20 taming speed 1), randomly checked tames few hours later it was tamed
