Monarchy's Plight

Chapter 12

Alisa dove into the crack and turned around. The wyvern had flown past her, chasing Goon. Alisa jumped out of the crack and followed the wyvern. She spotted goon heading for a small cave, just big enough to him. He ducked inside the cave and the shadow wyvern stuck its head through the hole and tried to snap at Goon. Alisa leapt onto the wyverns back and started clawing and biting. The wyvern jerked its head out of the cave and slammed into the entrance. Alisa flew off into a snow bank. The wyvern returned to attacking goon. Alisa quietly dug out of the snow bank and launched back onto the shadow wyvern. Alisa clung on as it jerked and bucked. She clawed the wyverns wings, making a hole in it. It roared in anger and grabed at her with its mouth. She remembered its weak spot and slid down to the tail. Alisa lunged for the tip and sunk her teeth into it. The wyvern screamed and shook Alisa off. It took off and flew away. It seemed to be having a hard time because of the hole Alisa made. Alisa colapsed in the snow, tired from the fight.
