Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a castoroides? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a castoroides.
If you want to tame these at a high level bring crops or kibble. They are disgusted by mejoberries.
You need a LOT of narcs to tame this giant beaver just get on a rock and shoot it also u need lots of berries
Have a tribemate pick up the beaver with an argy, carry it to your base (or safe place)... have tribemate hold the beaver up with the argy and you shoot until it falls. Easiest way in knocking it out.
For castoriodes, they can fit through a conventional pillar trap, so you have to put your pillars closer together rather then the normal length apart
Any crops are suggested. These guys can be even tamed when low-level, about the point in your levels 20+.
How do you get a trap?
I like can’t find it anwere
Trap it in a box build of railings with a gate, then shoot it from the outside it worked for me.
If you want to tame via crops they prefer the corn! Vote up for people to see!
Not to beat a dead Equus, but a lvl 10 took 50 narcotics and 250 berries....at least...and that is with 3x taming...
Need some junk go loot one for yourself see the torture they put you through! They are obviously spoiled brats they don’t like to share!
there torpor drains fast i remember i was taming then i used my norcatics and norcatic berrys i waited until i was out of narcotics and berrys then it wakes up happily with berrys i wasted my norcatics use 100 norcotics to tame this
Castoroides are passive. If you see one check the immediate area for beaver dams. Beaver dams give you wood, cementing paste, and rare mushrooms/flowers. Beaver dams offer one of the fastest cementing paste gathering rates in the game. Once you open a beaver dam all castoroides become hostile so be quick. When you grab cementing paste from the beaver dam inventory make sure to dump all the wood or excess thing you will not collect. This is important because more cementing paste will not spawn once it's taken, a new dam needs to be created. By dumping all items the beaver dam is destroyed and a new one will be created later. Wild beavers are not worth killing. They offer little pelt if any and leave a mean bite.
A quick and easier : / way to get the metal for the saddles is to get like 4 furnaces so you can smelt quicker. For example if you have 100 raw metal you can split the metal into 4ths and it will take less time to smelt because it is not in one bi chunk.
If you want them to build dams when tamed make them wander around you'll see they will cut trees for you
Knocking these out is easy but you should try to watch out for your surroundings while you tame it.
Pick up with wyvern or argy and out in taming pen. That's your best option for taming. In official games I don't even think they're worth it as they require sooooo many narcotics! I definitely recommend 3 or 5 if you get them though
Hello! Today I will show u how to tame a castrodides! Before we begin don't tame them if you want stuff from the dams. Trap a wild one instead! Let’s now get packing! First way of taming: Pack a lot a Narcoberries because their topor runs out fast. Next pack berries. About 50-100. Also pack a bola for easier taming! Way 2: Pack soothing balm and berries. (Around 10-20) I recommend this way because you can tame it faster. Also pack a bola for both ways. Enjoy! Plz like if it was helpful! (Only if it was helpful) Last tip: How to tame a pacy, raptor, dilo
I used a ton of narcotics (maybe I spammed too much cus I’m scared he will wake up lol) and mejoberries to tame one. It took some time, but it worked out in the end.
Knock one out at their pond, then spend the time fishing. You have to be there constantly anyway, so you might as well do something useful while you're at it.
To help more than the calculator can, bring along 300 Narcotic, 200 mejoberries and 100 other berries. This is the rough average for these things, up to like level 180 or something. Hope my tip helps with taming! And make sure to build a 1x1x1 base made of stone, if you want to target one to tame!
