It is actually easy to kill just tame some dilos and wait for it to attack a big turtle then shoot it with a bow (keep the dilos on passive while shooting)

Fly up to a cliff or ledge that it can’t reach and use tranq darts. Tranq arrows will work too it will just take longer

Carnos are excellent mounts and hunting and battle companions. At mid-level, my pack of five have speed slightly superior to a raptor and strength comparable to a low level Rex. Focus on building melee, speed and stamina. Combine them with a couple raptors, a Rex and a Trike and there will be very little you can't overcome.

If u see one RUN for Ur life. If I try to tame one please don't u WILL die.

How to tame carno

1 prepare

Bow

Tranq arrows (i would recommend bringing at least 20)

a trap (trap not needed if speed 200+)

2 locate

Carnos are easy to find i would recommend looking on beaches cuz on beaches there aren't many other threats

3 Tame

Shoot tranqs and lead into trap (or just run away from it) and keep shooting until unconscious

4 enjoy your carno

I fought a high level alpha carno my argen couldn't kill it so I got my lv. 151 thylaceo(thyla) to help me and she easily killed the alpha

for context: i only have 30 hours playtime. Most of which are wasted away on deleyed files bc spinos spawn and i don’t wanna mess w them. Barely watch gameplays because i’m stubborn and wanna figure this out game as most as i can on my own. that being said…

here i am, on the beach. level 20, trying to time a level high trike so feel somewhat safe. i had died several times because tranq arrows were failing me. so i decided, why not climb up this suspicious path to this cliff, and get convenient high ground? well… i get to the high ground. look down. carno. i had seen it earlier, but it was up on the cliff far away and decided to tuck the worry away. there shouldn’t have been anything to attract it, right? wrong. there it was. on the beach. by the trike. killing a parasour. i decided to hit it with tranq arrows. read somewhere about 8 should knock it out….. nope. got ultimately destroyed. Gonna go soon and try to either

A) Lure it back up the cliff and away from my temp start up base

B)…Take my chances, spam tranq arrows, and push stacks of raw meat…. Stupid? Maybe. Impossible? Probably. Very Probably. Certainly. But if it works? Genius.

Very easy tame

1: do lava cave with tiny save

2: tribute and get good crossbow dam=400

3: search good one make trap and trap carno

4: fire tranquilizer arrow and kock carno

5:feed him sooting balm and put meat or prime meat

6:carno tame and give him saddle and ride

If you encounter a Carno, you can go into some sorts of deep water like a deep river or ocean because they are not good swimmers. If you are prepared to tame one I would recommend kibble and Trang darts out of a longneck rifle. They are fast so a trap such as on with doorways and a ramp. Another idea is sacrificing dinosaurs like Parasaurs and small dinosaurs then shoot it while it is distracted with the other dinosaurs.

Large bear trap it knock it tame it and then boom just note there run is annoying

Be careful, carnos come seemingly out of nowhere, are quite fast, and can kill your raptor before your raptor can kill it. I recommend a decent level trike with good melee and stamina, and a pteranodon to kill it.

Get to a high spot and shoot at the carno and when it run go after it

It's sad to see the carno been replaced bt so many better dinos I recommend getting a barynex or a dire wolf if you want all around mount

WILD Carnos are just 0.5 units faster than a player with no points in speed, 892 vs. 892.5

If you have one point in movement speed, you should just be able to outrun wild Carnos, but don't count on it.

In reference to carno kibble: you can use cooked fish meat in place of normal cooked meat. Fun fact!

I just found level 27 alpha Carno it’s a good level I’m on easy easy and then searched up why my tranqs don’t work then realised you can’t tame alphas 😭😭😭😭 wasted a ton of tranqs

The first thing I tame once I get tranq arrows and a bow.

Just build a trap out of stone (or wood if You don’t have stone yet)

shoot it with in the head with tranqs, feed it raw mutton and narcotics, You have a Carno now!

They’re great with Raptors or even Dilos if you don’t have the saddle unlocked yet. They can even take out Rexes or low level Basilisks if there’s multiple.

Besides, they can go inside your base for defending it since they’re not too big.

Once I found a 290 carno so I tamed it and I checked it's stats and she had so much points in melee so I took on a level 180 alpha raptor and won.

Just get the high ground a rock should work
