In the wild these guys arent very dangerous. But a tamed one with a saddle is menacing. It can ring quicker than a rex. Its stronger than a raptor and also ignored by raptors. They only have one downside and that is that it has a slow stamina regeneration. But other than that. This is amazing as a tame. And is also pretty safe to tame cause raptors won't attack it.

Have 3ladders, 3 pillars, and 1 trapdoor frame

Not to strong but will help in your ark world and make it go somewhere it can't get distracted or aggroed off of you and if u have one I suggest leveling up its hp,melee or speed

I highly recommend taming a high level one my 258 can killed a 80 alpha Carno

When it puts its head down, it's vulnerable to easy head shots, weather that be by ranged or melee. The best melee would be the sword especially with the knock back, and shotgun for burst damage.

Once it was my first time playing and I saw a carno I ran up to it and punched him, he attacked back I kept punching, i died, i went back I punched more, i died, this happened around 90 more times, then it ran i punched one more time and it passed out in the ocean then I raged cuz it died.

This is a great carnivore to play with while you're in you're early game it's like a T-Rex but easy to tame you will feel like a cowboy after riding this but you cannot shoot from it I wish wildcard change it and btw it's like a bull when you ride it

Find a rock near it go on you can knock it out mostly with everything but that’s not a baseball bat it if is a low lvl it’s ez to tame but if it’s a high lvl is goin be medium. But I buffer if your a low lvl just let it walk with ya until you can get the saddle don’t need to tame it when you can get the saddle

After tlc the carno can now kill rock golems easily

Use the secondary attack on stego. It never attacks, safe and easy prime and good for levelling

Fly up to a cliff or ledge that it can’t reach and use tranq darts. Tranq arrows will work too it will just take longer

First time I tamed I was taming a pachy and I go to get narcos I come back and this thing is ravaging my pachy so I start hitting it with a club then it falls unconscious so I put meat from pachy and bam I got a Red Bull dino

Whoever said these don't agro on insect , DONT Believe IT It's all propoganda and lies , I very much got my ass handed to me when i tried to approach a carno on my Scorp , I was fortunate enough to tranq the carno before it killed my venomous buddy, Whenever these guys are around approach with Caution or get Horned

While it can be overshadowed by more useful alternatives (argentavis) or stronger predators (Rex, Spino, etc), it is a very accessible tame early on if you need something to protect yourself and run around with (looking at you Aberration). Even with a bow, you don’t really need that many tranq arrows and it can, at high levels, shred everything you encounter, except maybe other tamed dinos or gigas (Would not recommend for bosses either), which helped me commit genocidal war crimes at the spino river in Aberration to level up fast.
