This beast can be a pain to tame, however it is very worth it. Follow this guide for an easier time.

1. Depending on its level prepare 25 to 100 tranq arrows. If you can afford tranq darts, they will be faster and damage it less

2. There are 2 main ways you can tame this, with a trap, or on foot. On foot requires much less resources but is harder, while using a trap has virtually no risk, but requires lots of stone and wood. Pick whichever is best for you

3. If on foot, I recommend starting from on a cliff where it can’t hit you, DONT move unless it runs too far away to shoot, because if it isn’t torpor running, and it realizes it can hit you, it will run back, and try to hit you. This is much easier with a fast mount you can dismount, shoot, run, repeat. Leveling move speed can also make this much easier

4. If you use a trap, I recommend a 3 by 3 stone box with ramps leading into will be much easier to get it into, and once it is in, just shoot it until it is out.

5. For food, Mejia are the best option for your first bronto because it’s unlikely you can make exceptional kibble. They also work well for a low level. If you are taming a high level, I recommend exceptional kibble if you have it, because it will save you several levels

6. Depending on the food and the level, this tame can take multiple hours, and in my experience rexes and other dangerous creatures often spawn where brontos do, so make sure to protect it, or keep it out of render so it does not get eaten, or lose lots of levels from being hit.

Happy taming!

P.S. I’m going to make an in depth taming guide for every creature in ark, so look for more, I have already done one for the diplo and graptor, so please check those out, and if any are helpful, raise them to the sky, so it helps more people. All my tips will end in Happy taming!
