Stories Tips

What are some stories about the brontosaurus? Memorable brontosaurus stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
I had a great Bronto named Bob, He was great and reliable. I always gathered berries and wood for my tribe. Bob was an absolute beast in combat. He could easily destroy high level Rexes. One sad day, I returned to base. I was on an Argentavis and was flying around. I saw a few strong dinos heading straight to our base. We were about to get raided. They attacked us and shred our base. We fought them with our dinos. Bob started to shred through them. Bob bought us enough time to escape. He fought until his last stand. R.I.P Bob
All the Light we Cannot See
Chapter 13
Soviet soldiers were screaming and shouting out orders, but Max knew there was nothing to stop the ground from splitting apart. He quickly ran toward the medic tent, trying to avoid heavy armored vehicles and the splitting ground.
“Andrew! There’s an earthquake- the ground is splitting apart!” Max panted as he entered the medic tent. But inside was empty, with a crack filling the whole tent. Andrew had fallen through. Max couldn’t believe it, he got on his knees with disbelief. His best friend, his ONLY friend, is gone. Max wanted to curl into a ball and cry about it but couldn’t. Because this is what he signed up for. Kill krauts, see his comrades die, and show glory to the allies
“Come on! We gotta get to the desert.” Kostya said, grabbing him by his uniform collar.
Max quickly got up and ran out of the tent, gunshots ran through the air. A Spinosaurus which Max knew because of its large spine whacked a T-34 tank into the air, landing on some unfortunate soldiers.
“FÜR DAS VATERLAND!!” Max quickly looked at the jungle and soon enough, waves of German soldiers poured into the trenches. Some falling into the cracks along with some tamed dinosaurs.
“Get in! Quickly!” Kostya exclaimed as Max got in a truck with some other Soviet soldiers.
“IDT!” One Soviet soldier shouted at the driver. Soon the engine started and Max and the soviet soldiers were on the way. 2 other trucks followed behind them with 1 tank and 3 vehicles.
“Where are we going?” Max asked, still traumatized by the attack.
“The desert, it’s the safest place for us to go.” Kostya said as he gave Max a piece of a Soviet candy. Max saw no point going with the Soviets. His whole company was gone, his friends were gone, their hope of escaping the island was gone.
Soon the cries and shouting from the trenches faded away, the silent air made everything so lifeless. Then the truck came to a stop.
“Pochemu my ostanavlivayemsya?!” A Soviet Officer asked.
At first there was silence then the driver said softly, “T-tam yashcheritsa, idi posmotri!” Soon Max’s whole truck unloaded and looked around. Indeed there was, in the distance a huge lizard, the size of a Soviet Tank, was eating on something. The truck driver behind Max shouted something.
“Beri T-34 i vzorvi yego, my ne mozhem pozvolit' sebe ostanovit'sya.” The Soviet officer said to Kostya. Then he told the T-34 driver something and soon enough, the tank was in front of Max’s truck. “OGON'!” The officer ordered. The tank fired at the lizard but missed by a few feet. By then the lizard was alerted and spotted them. “PRODOLZHAYTE STREL'BAT'!” The second shot hit the lizard on the back and it fumbled down the sand. Then the whole place celebrated.
“Davayte dvigat'sya, vozvrashchaytes' na svoi mesta!” The officer ordered and everyone went back to their trucks. As they drove through the sand, Max saw the lifeless lizard they shot at as they passed by. It was bigger than a T-34, Max realized. But wait, why wasn’t there blood? Surely everything has blood when hit. Max wondered. Then the lizard opens its eyes.
“STOP THE TRUCK! THE LIZARD IS ALIVE! STOP THE TRUCK!” Max exclaimed, Fortunately Kostya seemed to understand what had happened and told the driver. The driver said something on the radio and soon enough, the whole place opened fired at the lizard.
“That was one hell of a trick that thing had.” Another Soviet soldier said. Max was surprised he could also speak English, but he decided not to say anything. The huge lizard again fumbled into the sand, with a huge hole through his chest from the T-34 shot.
Max suddenly blacked out, when he opened his eyes he was in the same place as his other vision but this time he was in the desert, just where he was.
“Oh Max, don’t you see? There’s no hope of escaping or leaving. The creatures on this island will maul you one at a time until none of you are left. But you Max can give me power of this place. The war is still raging Max… you could all forget about it.” Then a bright light flashed and he was back in the truck.
“Get some sleep, it won’t be until tomorrow we reach our destination.” Kostya said.
But Max didn’t need anybody to tell him, as he dozed off.

This is a story of how 2 bronto warriors protected my base and my PT
I was breeding my 2 brontos and got a fert bronto egg. while it was hatching, I decided: “hey! Why don’t I take a trip while I wait?” So I rode my pt and while I was on my trip, I saw an alpha raptor. I decided: “this raptor must stay away from my base.” I led it away from base and I was near the swamp. When I landed on a rock, a titaniboa SURPRISINGLY hit my pt 2 TIMES! I thought my pt was gonna knock out but, I went to base quickly and checked on the egg. It was just fine. BUT when I was home… a wild brontosaurus fell down the mountain and fell by my base. I decided: “A BRONTO? I’ll lead it away from my base.” I went on my pt and hit it once. It stepped on one of my spikes. It started attacking my base! My 2 brontos raced to kill it and they won! My heroes! Good thing I picked up the egg before the fires broke. I put the egg away and started writing this story. Üp vøte for my warriors to win again!

Journey Through All Creatures:
Chapter 5: Suspicions
Story starts in Achatina, goes through The Island creatures in ABC order and has a Prologue. Last chapter in Ankylosaurus.
The next chapter is in Charcharodontosaurus and is the first super-long chapter. There will be many long chapters, some having multiple parts.
The C Tribe’s base sat high up on a mountain, near carnivore island. It was large, balconies stretched to the outer edges of the mountain’s base, and it was tall, reaching to the ceiling of the ARK’s dome. There were many different rooms with many different purposes. There were gates and spike walls surrounding the base of the mountain, with turrets to stop flyers from going over the wall. The main entrance sat on the slope leading to the ruins. There were Rexes and Charchas guarding it. Inside the main room was a large table, stretching from one wall to another. Torches sat across the walls, and at the right end of the table was someone sitting, along with many other people at the table. There was a big meeting. The person opened his mouth to say, “Okay, yesterday, our hunt for a new Argy was interrupted by this stupid guy. We located a 150 Argy, but the suspect assassinated the Argy we found. Because of this, I sent Grease, our strongest Giga, to find him, but he escaped. I know one thing. Grease would never commit treason and help him escape. Meaning I believe that one of you did it.” Then someone near the back stood up. “What are you talking about?” He said. “You see… you were all forced into this tribe, not created directly. So the actions of yesterday made me suspicious that SOMEONE could be getting their memories of their freedom back.” The person in the front said. No one responded. “Okay. Who knows how I brainwashed you before I made you join the tribe?” He said. Everyone except one shrugged. “Good. You passed the test. I needed to see if anyone had these… wait a second. Someone did not respond.” He sneered. He stormed to the person that didn’t shrug. “Listen. You answer yes or no to my questions. Do you remember how I brainwashed you?” The leader said. “Tribemaster Terad, I would never remember any memories.” The person said. “Listen up. Answer my question. Say no, you pass the test, and you’re free to leave. You wanna leave, don’t you? I also noticed one person was not sticking with us during our missions. Just running off. For no reason. And I noticed a pattern. Every time that idiot… what was his name? Every time he went off to kill a creature, one of our leaders would leave. And unfortunately, say it ain’t so, because the vanishing person was none other than…” Terad said, his voice rising. Then he stared down at the person he was right next to and yanked his mask off. “Serenity, you have remained loyal to us for years. But these actions are telling me… you’re getting memories back.” Terad sneered. Everyone in the room gasped loudly. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I remember nothing.” Serenity said. “Okay. Then answer the question only someone who remembers their freedom would know. Who was your first tame and when did you tame him!?” Terad said. “Actually… it’s a she. It was Reese the horse. We tamed her the day I got here.” Serenity said. “Hmm… okay. Reese… a Equus… tamed her… never. That… I saw that horse when I arrived! Ha… you think you can make me believe it was Reese the horse from 2 months ago? No… I never saw that horse. Her name was Reese Reese Pie. The original Reese was tamed January 29, 2024… SEVEN MONTHS BEFORE I FOUND YOU!!!!” Terad screamed. He banged the table. “You got three chances. Every three strikes, one chance goes. All chances die, and your memories will be wiped. If this continues… well… you don’t wanna know. One strike is got every time I catch you doing some suspicious stuff with Sodden and we’re forced into a chat. If he messes up any more off our hunts… that’s a strike for him. I’ll let you off this time. You are very lucky. But listen… I won’t tolerate any kind of sex, alliance, trading tames… oh, speaking of trade, I’m pretty sure I saw a message called, “Your tribemate unclaimed Mosh (Mosasaurus Level 249)!” Mosh is your Mosa. So… where did she go?” Terad said. “Uh… listen. I don’t know. I just let her free. And do not go near the free people. No one deserves their freedom taken.” Serenity said.
“WAHOO!” Someone yelled as they rose from the waters. Way east of the swamp, Sodden was on Serenity’s Mosa, who had a Basilo in her mouth. “Okay. We gotta get the frog then we gotta handle our first sauropod.” Sodden said. He went over to the swamp. He wore scuba gear to help him breathe underwater. As he swam to the swamp, he saw a frog jumping along the shore. When he got closer, he shot the frog to lure it closer, and the Mosa consumed it almost instantly as soon as it entered the water. Sodden put the Mosa into a cryopod, then ran back to his base. Then as he was running, he felt the ground shaking. He looked behind him and saw a Bronto walking towards him, bellowing. “Okay. Gotta do this.” He said. He shot the Bronto with a bow and the Bronto roared and started storming towards him. Sodden ran the other direction towards his base. The Bronto followed him for 30 minutes until he saw the gates around the base, and in front of it was 30 raptors. Then they went running at the Bronto. It lifted its feet to stomp, but the raptors climbed onto its back and started ripping it apart. The Bronto was losing control of its movements, and was just swaying around, until it fell onto the ground and caused a large shockwave, knocking everyone back. The raptors finished off the Bronto, then someone grabbed Sodden and ran under one of the houses. “Dude… I was worried they would think I was helping you get to the Assassin Heart, but they said I was just allying with you to help you get all creatures.” The person said. “Oh, hey. Wow. That’s crazy.” Sodden said. “I’m lucky they didn’t discover the real reason. As long as we keep this a simple alliance while also trying our best to plan this out, we should be fine.” Serenity said. “Okay. What did they say?” Sodden said. “They discovered I have some memories of my freedom, but they thought I was just with you to help you with the creatures. They know how loyal I am to them and believe I would never betray them.” Serenity said. “Okay. So as long as their suspicions don’t rise, we should be fine. All we gotta do is keep this on the down low. Until we get to the bosses, we won’t need to worry too much.” Sodden said. “I hope we can do this. I know this can happen. Because I know one thing: as long as they’re still here, the freedom of everyone is in danger.” Serenity said. Then she ran into the forest before Sodden could say anything else. “Uh… okay. Well…” Sodden said. He wasn’t sure on this. Then he just sighed and walked back into his house. The raptors followed him back into the base.
Chapter 6 comes out later this week

Ok so as I was coming back from the hidden lake I saw a Rex. My saber, Annora, was close behind. I was so scared, all my tames where close… then the Rex started to attack a bronto,I brought Annora to a small tree. I remembered how many brontos the Rex killed. I went to go fight, but my health was low, I nearly died. Then the bronto killed the Rex! The Rex was blocking my way to a mountain. Now it was safe! My tames and I were safe! One upvoot, one respect for the killer Rex bronto
This has been my experience taming dinosaurs (It's so so sad)
One time I tamed Bronto lvl 12 on Herbivore island, it only took about 23 tranq arrows (no more than 30), after that I gave him 100 Savoroot and 72 Longgrass, then I went to normal island, then I wanted to find some explorer notes (I left Bronto because the torpor time was 2 hours 15 minutes 53 seconds (about 44 minutes for taming), so I left him with 172 crops, when I returned. BRONTO AND ALL MY CROPS ARE LOST.
So never leave the dinosaurs you want to tame even though it takes a long time.

This is a special and sad story about Pear
When i started ark i built my house around a cave below a cliff by a beach. When i went on to harvest berries i saw a large level 20 bronto spawn. I was immediately frightened because my base was surrounded with wooden spikes so if it touched it it might get mad. Guess what it touched a spike and then started stomping on in it. And then i saw true horror i saw its tail whip animation revving up and its tails could go throw my spikes therefore it could kill my tames. I coudnt do anything so went in the cave and was prepared to see my base and tames obliterated. It whipped and i heard a sound of a cry and saw “Your level 15 Lystro (Pear) has been killed by a level 20 bronto.” I immediately heard the bronto fall down to its death from the spikes i immediately rushed to see Pears laying down there lifeless. The brontos tail managed to hit Pear and since brontos cant attack multiple targets at once Pear was a shield. I decided to bury pear in the very spot he sat on and grabbed all my tames and we sat for a while. Pear my very first tame on ark i always loved feeding berries aswell as going out together. You saved my base and tames at cause of your life rip pear..
Pandora
•Chapter 14•
A juvenile Wyvern was sleeping soundly in the middle of her den. Her pale sunflower yellow scales rose and fell steadily as she lay curled up like a cat, a fluffy blanket draped over her to keep her warm. It was unusually chilly for a night in the warm season, clouds spread across most of the sky.
The Fire Wyverns’ sleep was interrupted at the sound of a loud thunk outside and a blast of frantic wings. Bright’s amber eyes snapped open and she shook her head as she lifted it towards the entrance. She was wide awake in moments as a Wyvern came into her home, straight through the opening as if they lived here and it wasn't the literal middle of the night. Bright caught a glimpse of the moon low in the sky from the wide open entranceway and corrected herself. It was sometime past moonhigh.
As the Wyvern stepped inside and she saw their face she realized who it was. The Wyvern looked like she had just come straight out of a monsoon and hadn't had any sleep in hours. Bright stood up and said her name.
“Bria?”
“Are your parents here?” Bria asked instantly, her head dipped slightly. She had a serious tone to her voice that was rough and low with exhaustion.
“No, they're away, remember?” Bright replied. “What is–”
“Good, let's get the others over here.” Bria said, walking past her. Bright’s gaze followed her in confusion, before she nodded and left the den.
Bright flew first to Ember's home, who was closest to hers’. Ember shot up as Bright called her, knocking away her three blankets with her eyes bright blue flames. “Emergency??” She demanded excitedly. Bright answered with a simple shrug as Ember climbed down from her high ledge to her.
They then went across the lake to Nettles den, which took much longer. Nettle had turned her head away from them in her bed and pretended to be fast asleep, ignoring them till Ember had to throw a bracelet at her.
The three quickly flew back to Bright's home where Bria was waiting patiently, her eyes focused on something that wasn't there.
“What's up?” Ember asked eagerly.
Bright turned to the wall of her den as they walked inside. She opened her mouth and fire came from her throat, lighting the candles lined up on the ledge. The room was cast in a mix of fire and early dawn light.
“A third Pterosaur stampede came by just hours ago,” Bria told them.
Bright exchanged glances with Nettle and Ember, and Ember whispered, “No way.”
“We're all worried about that, but I don't understand. Why wake us all up just to tell us that?” Nettle asked Bria. “You look like you've been awake since sunset. What's going on with you, Bria?”
“Somethings happening,” Bria said without looking at them. She stared at the ground and walked in a circle with her tail lashing left and right. “I don’t know what or when or why–”
Bright listened intently as Bria continued, bringing up her head to finally glance at them. “Remember the night of the festival, when we all walked half of the way home?”
“Yes,” Bright answered. “Pandora had us walk instead of fly, and that was when the second mob came by.”
Bria nodded.
“This has to do with Pandora, doesn't it?” Bright asked.
“She's not telling me something,” Bria said. “I don't understand it. But I'm going to find out.”
“So ominous.” Nettle sighed. “But what are you talking about?”
There was a shuffle of claws. “‘Something’, like what?” Ember asked, furrowing her brow with a cautious look.
Bria looked like her head was aching badly. “There– I–” She groaned. “I found a hole in my den that had never been there before. It led to a tunnel and there was a circular cave at the end. With drawings everywhere, all across its floor and walls.” She explained it so quickly but firmly, her voice low and quiet as she spoke. When she finished the three were staring at her.
“What?” Ember exclaimed.
Bria sat down and sighed heavily. She didn’t seem like she wanted to say any more, but she did anyway. “They were drawings of the mobs. And Wyverns. And something huge was in the middle, like it was scaring them all away.”
“This makes no sense.” Nettle said, baring her teeth slightly at the last word.
“She drew it because she knows,.” Bria whispered. She hissed slightly. “I need to know,” She breathed, closing her eyes tightly.
Bright watched her quietly before feeling claws dig into her wing and tug at her. She was yanked sideways by Ember and the purple-red Wyvern whispered, “If this has to do with Pandora, what does it mean?”
Nettle, who had scooted over to them, shrugged with wide eyes. “Weird things are definitely going on, any Wyvern could admit that.”
“We’ll just–” Bright glanced back over at Bria and went quiet as she realized Bria had fallen asleep. Her eyes were closed and the side of her face was resting on her wing in a sitting position that made her look like she could fall over any second. Bright looked back at Ember and Nettle. “We’ll talk about this in the morning, yeah.”
***
The sun was almost close to rising, though darkness still shrouded the land around the lake and sent shadows across the palace. No sounds yet, not even breathing. Staring up at the palace with her ordinary, blank expression was Pandora.
She whispered something under her breath as if promising something, then looked up to notice that the gray clouds were finally diminishing. The shapes reflected in her eyes as she stared with her head craned. Then she turned and walked away, and minutes later the clouds were back and dark again.
***
‘I need to know.’
Bria didn’t know she was in a dream. She stood by herself in a dark room, a lot like the tunnel she’d only recently come out of. She stayed in place, blinking and listening, before stepping forward once. Her talonstep echoed quietly down the cavern. She inhaled quietly and went forward at a slow pace.
There was a small and muffled snapping, cracking noise from somewhere down the tunnel. She continued going, a sense of dread and anticipation filling her veins. She knew she had to see what this was. She had to know and not forget.
The sounds continued. Something like moving, ripping flesh. A few more snaps and a couple indecipherable sounds.
She went faster through the darkness and stopped, just in time as she nearly ran into something small in the middle of the pitch black space. A lump, a moving shape that clicked quietly before looking up at her. Giant glowing eyes pierced into her and a small flash of light let her see what it was. An owl, standing and staring up at her. Bria shifted her head downwards. There was something underneath it, laying limply at its curved claws.
Her breath trembled as she saw it, terror gripping her at the sight of a dead bird with a slit going right down the middle of its frail body, leaving it cut perfectly in half. Feathers and entrails covered the floor around it.
The owl tilted its head at Bria.
She stepped back, before hearing another sound and turning her head. A set of eyes with the same hue as the owls’ gazed at her from the darkness and she looked back to where the owl had once been, but it had disappeared, leaving the mutilated bird laying in a pool of its own blood on the ground.
“Hallo, zusammen,” A voice that she didn’t understand said in an odd, almost song-like pitch, its tone lifting and then falling suddenly.
Bria didn’t reply to it nor know what it was saying. She instead held her ground, digging her claws inward.
The eyes blinked once.
“Bitte erinnere nicht.”
Boom.
A light suddenly burst from nowhere and burned her eyes, making her close them quickly and exclaim in surprise. She fell back and caught herself with her wings, opening her eyes with spots dancing in her vision.
She blinked her narrowed eyes, snarling defensively and standing up to look and face the thing, before outstretched claws appeared and reached for her face, and everything went black again.
Bria woke up slowly and lifted her head. Her eyesight was blurry and her eyes were watering a bunch, causing her to wipe them vigorously with one wing. Her mouth felt dry. For the first time in hours she realized she hadn’t drank any water in a while. She groaned, quickly remembering yesterday and everything she had done. She didn’t remember her dream. But that’s normal.
“Hi there,” Ember said, poking her head over from behind Bria. Bria sat up. “It’s a little past morning now. You wanna get some food and water?”
“Yes, I do,” Bria answered, looking over at her.
“Yay! I’ll go get Nettle and Bright. Nettle’s yelling about stuff right now.”
Bright watched her climb out of the open den and call their names outside. As she did, Bria got to her talons and padded forward. She came into the cool daylight and twisted her neck to see the others climbing down from a ledge above the den. “We’ll catch a bunch of fish and prey, drink some water, and do whatever else we need to do,” Ember insisted, pulling at both Bright and Nettle. Bria made a small toothless smile. “Right? Come on, team!”
The Obelisk
-Chapter 17-
Forest whirled around. “What was that?”
“I heard it, too,” Rust said, perking his head up. His talons twitched nervously.
Spark doubled glanced at the two who had stopped, then wheeled back and turned to them. “What is it?” She asked.
“I just heard a—” Forest stopped, hearing a hiss behind him.
“Be ready,” Spark growled. She bared her teeth and held her ground.
Forest went into camouflage, letting his feathers and scales shift slowly to the background. He slowly stopped to listened, then crept silently towards the small noises.
“Forest!” Rust hissed.
At the sight of a tail in the brush, Forest pounced and digging his claws into ruby-hard scales.
“YOW!” A long snout packed with sharp teeth snapped at empty air where Forest once was. He froze and stayed invisible.
It was that KAPRO. AGAIN.
“Found her!” Forest yelled.
Talons steps came there way, and Rust and Spark appeared. The Kapro winced.
Spark scowled. “You,” she spat.
“YOU,” The Kapro shot back.
“Who?” Rust asked. The Kapro snarled at him. “What?”
“It’s the Kapro you stole from,” Spark said.
“Oh,” Rust squinted at her. “Yeah, I guess it is.”
“Why were you following us?” Forest asked her, shifting back to be visible. The Kapro jumped.
“I—I—I—“ the Kapro had never looked stumped before. She looked… worried and… sad?
“Well?” Spark barked.
The Kapro ducked her head. “Fine. I’ll tell you. I wondered why you three were wandering in the swamp together… and I thought… maybe you’d bring me along.”
Dodo tales (Ep17 S1)
Jerry warmed his hands by the fire they created, and layed down to rest. It was dusk, and darkness was coming very fast. "How did all that happen in just one day?" he thought
"Where are we anyway?" Jerry asked, since he had never bothered to ask Rick that.
"I think it's called an Ark" said Eden
"There's a theory that we're all just being put through some twisted experiment or test"
"How many of us live here?" Jerry asked
"I don't know, I've only been here for a few months." Eden replied
Jerry soon fell asleep...
He dreamt of Rick in a cage being tortured and horribly treated, And he knew that if he had been captured, Rick would have come back for him. He woke up in a thatch hut, that Eden must have made while he was asleep, but he was nowhere to be found...
Last night I was playing ark and working on my new log house when I turned my Theri back to buy another haul of wood home there I saw a huge Bronto looking over my front gate just starting at my tames. I thought it was funny almost as if she was saying "Please take me in, I want to be with all you guys." But I ignored her because I've had Brontos before and they just take up too much space and travel with them is sooooooooo slow.
Back to work, the next load of wood I turn around to see if she's still creeping outside my base to find she worked her way into the trap I used for my Theri. This is comical because the trap is big but not Bronto big and is also missing walls on one side. This time I feel she is just begging me please tame me, look I even got into your trap. So after thinking a bit on it I decide ok (Bronto eggs = Theri/Quetz/Giga kibble), and start the tame everything is going well until it got real for her and she starting running away and just walked out of the trap, but I got her down. That was at 1am and she was a 4 hour tame so I just loaded her up with berries set up my high level raptor pack and logged off.
If she's alive and tamed I'm going to name her Pear in honor of another post here.
