The Terrible Demise of Tortuga(or TTDOT).

Chapter two.

Aragorn and Aaron shook hands. “Nice to meet you.” Aragorn said stiffly. If Aaron noticed he ignored it. “Pleasure! I just wanted to…welcome you to the town!” He said rather loudly. “Since y’all are new and all!” Aaron explained. Jay and Jack exchanged curious looks with each other. “Let me help carry that box!” Aaron exclaimed taking a box from Jay. Before Aragorn,Jay or Jack could protest,Aaron had sauntered off to their house to put the box inside. Jay and Jack shot confused looks at their father. Aragorn shrugged then he motioned for them to help take the last few boxes inside. When they got to the house with them Aaron stood there holding the door open for them with Arianna and Emma standing behind him looking confused at Aaron’s presence. As soon as they walked in Aaron shut the door. They set the boxes down and turned to Aaron. His face had turned serious. “What is going on?” Arianna asked Aaron. Aaron held up his hand. “Before we talk, let’s close the windows. They pulled the blinds down around the house until Aaron was satisfied.

They sat down in the living room/dining room. “Thank you for your patience.” Aaron said running his hand through his hair, which revealed more grey hair. “I’m guessing you aren’t welcoming us.” Aragorn said. “No, Im not. And I’m sorry for being so secretive, the fact is that in THIS town it’s best to be secretive.” Aaron said lowering his voice. “Listen, the mayors specifically tell our citizens NOT to tell newcomers (like yourselves) about the night protocols. Right now it’s…” Aaron looked at his watch. “… seven o clock, and once it’s eight o clock you HAVE TO STAY in your houses until the bell rings. Lights out is at nine thirty. If you don’t follow theses protocols punishments WILL follow.” Aaron said. “What kind of punishments?” Emma asked. “Did you see the execution and hanging stands?” Aaron asked. They all nodded. “Ever wonder what those are used for?” Aaron said.
