Scorched Earth: Day 21
7 days remaining in SE…
It was a hot midday on Day 21 on Scorched Earth. Around 98 degrees, the five survivors wore their desert cloth, standing outside of their base, Rod was in the base, making the last of the harpoon guns, and Sodden, Serenity, Dorack, and Nal were near an Argy, which had a ton of arrows inside its inventory. Sodden and Serenity walked around the Argy, Dorack stood against the Argy’s tail, while Nal was sitting on the front porch of the base.
“It’s pretty dang hot today. You think we should wait until later this afternoon to hunt Wyverns?” Dorack asked. Sodden sighed and turned to him.
“We have a lot of talons to get. We can’t just hold off until later. Remember, we gotta leave as fast as we can. I still can’t trust Rod with anything.” Sodden said. Dorack was sweaty, with sweat pouring down his arms, and sighed as he sat down.
“You know… when you talked on and on about Arktic, I went to get Tundra like last week. She remembered me well, and she reminded me of what went down in the last 3 days of our time at Snowball. Tundra’s a great wolf. We can use her to kill the Wyverns. It’d be good to get some wyvern milk from them to feed our new Wyvern.” Dorack said. Sodden nodded, and Serenity walked to Dorack. “Good idea. Should we bring our Wyvern to Aberration?” Nal asked. Dorack and Serenity shot a glare at Nal. “Oh… right. I forgot.” Nal chuckled.
“We had no flyers on Snowball either. We had to walk everywhere when we were there. Tundra helped a lot. The mountain… oh…” Dorack sighed. Nal stood up just then.
“Are you getting memories back?” Nal asked. Dorack nodded.
“Yeah. I haven’t gotten much on Day 92 and any of Day 93. Remember the brain injury I got?” Dorack asked. Everyone nodded, then they heard the door click and creak open, and Rod walked out of it. He walked slowly, his bag was big, and he walked down the stairs slowly. “Oh, my god. How many harpoons did you make?” Sodden asked. “Uh, we need 60 Wyverns, so I wanted a lot extra, so I just made 183.” Rod said. “183! Oh, my god. What about the guns?” Sodden asked. “I used all our metal and hide and fiber to upgrade them all the way to ascendant.” Rod said. Sodden gasped. “Bro… it’s like the Narcotics For Days sign except with harpoons.” Dorack said. “I don’t think we needed that much. Okay, just give 45 to each of us. Keep the last three.” Sodden said. Rod did not say anything. He was silent for a few seconds.
“Why am I only getting 3?” Rod asked.
“For storage. I don’t want you coming with us. And I want you to get all the metal, fiber, hide, and whatnot you possibly can. We need more metal for things like armor and saddles. Our Rexes are almost ready.” Sodden said. Rod growled deeply.
“Fine.” Rod sneered. He then took his bag off his back, then lifted a pile of 45 harpoons, then gave one to Serenity, who walkekd to the bag. Serenity took the harpoons, then Dorack, Sodden, and Nal each walked to the bag and took out 45 harpoons. Then the four survivors took out the harpoon guns from the bottom of the bag. Rod then closed the bag afterwards and put it back on his back. He turned around and stormed back into the base. Sodden turned to the 2 Argies, then Sodden and Serenity got on one, Dorack and Nal got on the other, then they took off to go to the wyvern trench, for wyvern farming.

Day 92 of ARKtic
27 hours before Nal and Dorack’s escape
“The Signal of Hope”
Running. The rustling of bags. The yelling. The rushing. Nal and Dorack were packing their bags with food, water, fur armor sets, and weapons. Nal sat in her room, frantically running to the storage boxes and back to her bag, shoving in water jars (they were not high level enough for canteens) and some armor. Nal panted heavily as she pushed in the last of the supplies. The two survivors were preparing to travel to the mountain, the Iceberg Slaughter. The coldest part of the entire Ark, besides the Treacherous (the cave). On the peak was the white obelisk, which they could use to send a signal to the tek cave terminal, where Nal and Dorack originally reached Snowball from, and alert Nudon. This could mean Codred could receive the signal and create a path from their Ark to Snowball. When the signals connect, it will create a path. Nal and Dorack could go home from there! Nal and Dorack could simply use the artifact they got to send a signal to The Island. They just needed some supplies. Dorack had food in his bag, then ran across the base to Nal’s room, where Nal was panting and shoving some piles of food and a sword into her bag. “Hey, you ready to go?” Dorack asked. Nal turned around and looked up, staring at Dorack, and nodded. Nal closed up her bag then put it on her back. Then Dorack and Nal walked out of the door of their base, then walked to their animal pen, where they found Tundra and a few other tames. Nal and Dorack opened the gate and got on Tundra, then they walked out of the gateway. Dorack groaned as he pushed the gates closed, then when the gate was closed down, Nal and Dorack began to run with their wolf up north, towards the giant mountain. The mountain was around -35 degrees even in the day, and in snowstorm nights, it can reach a whopping -97 degrees! It also had a ton of rex spawns, diirewolves, purlovias, Alphas of these creatures, and some Yutyrannuses. But nothing compared to the 0.903 percent chance of the spawning of the Feathered Giganotosaurus.
After almost 2 hours of riding Tundra, Nal and Dorack finally approached the tall, cold mountain. They were at the base of the mountain, facing a path that went up the mountain, a slope speckled with rocks and metal nodes, and some obsidian here and there. Nal and Dorack took a deep breath and they began to ascend up the slope, jumping across rocks and running through underpasses. As they got higher up, it got colder, the slope was more icy. The mountain was around 700 meters tall, one of the tallest mountains in the universe. The white obelisk’s tip touched the force field on Snowball. Nal shivered a bit. The fur armor was helping a little, but she and Dorack still felt a little cold. They weren’t even halfway up. They were running past and outrunning Rexes, direwolves, and even purlovias.
After 10 minutes, Nal and Dorack finally reached the peak of Iceberg. They approached a large rocky ground, where there were large rocky statues towering over the terminal and surrounding the terminal platform. Nal and Dorack hopped off their wolf, then they heard footfalls. They gasped and turned around quickly. The footsteps got louder, and they heard panting. Something came from behind the rock that sat on the edge of the path. It was a wolf, and someone sat on it, in fur armor, holding a sword in his right hand and a water jar in his left. “Hey, guys! Been a while. Saw you going to this mountain, so I followed you. Why you up here?” The person asked. Nal gasped. “Jerboa, good to see you again. We’re going home, that’s why. We’re going to send a signal to me and Dorack’s tribe on The Island that we’re on Snowball, then they’ll create a warp from their Ark. Then we create a warp from this Ark, and when they connect it’ll create a transport path back to The Island. We’re going home soon.” Nal said, determined. “Oh… you’re about to leave? Aw, man. We just saw each other again for the first time in almost 3 weeks! You’re going to be gone for good and I’ll be here… alone…” Jerboa said sadily as he got off his wolf and sighed, then walked to a rock. He put his sword on the rock and his hand on the rock. “Jerboa… we want you to come with us. You’re going to have a way less challenging and way better life on The Island. Well, minus the fact you can’t respawn.” Nal said. Jerboa gasped as he turned his head around to look at Nal and Dorack. “Really? I can go with you guys?” Jerboa said, excited. Nal and Dorack smiled and nodded. Jerboa jumped and shouted in excitement.
“Yes! I will not have to cower inside my base and behind my tames anymore! Although I’ll miss the super OP creatures we have.” Jerboa said. “You can bring them. You just have to put them in the obelisk and send them to the Ark the warp is coming from.” Nal said. Jerboa gasped.
“I’m leaving. Oh, my god. I’m bringing my creatures with me! When do we go!?” Jerboa exclaimed.
“We need to communicate with Nudon first, send them the signal, wait for them to create the warp, then we can create the second warp. I think they’ll be ready by tomorrow, hopefully.” Nal said. Jerboa nodded.

Later on Day 21 of SE…
It was past midday when Sodden and the others had arrived at the World Scar, aka the Wyvern trench. They began to fly into the trench, sticking to the left side to avoid drawing any wyverns early. They saw 2 Wyverns after flying around for a few minutes. A Fire Wyvern and Poison Wyvern were walking on the ground, near a nest that sat near the lava river. The nest had a poison Wyvern egg in it. The Wyverns grumbled as they walked slowly around the nest in a circle, their talons tapping the rocky, hot ground and their wings softly beating. Sodden took the harpoon gun out of his bag, then Dorack took his gun out of his bag. They both loaded a harpoon into the gun, then flew closer to the ground, closer to the nets. The Wyverns had their backs turned to the Argies coming. Then when the Argies hovered over the lava, Sodden aimed his harpoon gun at the Fire Wyvern, then pulled the trigger.
SNAP!
The harpoon broke out of the gun and soared through the air, its net began to open from the inside. It expanded until it hit the wyvern’s tail, and the net then blew apart as it engulfed the wyvern, the wyvern screeched and lifted its wings, but the net held them down and encased the wyvern’s body fully. The wyvern screeched loudly and the poison wyvern roared, but a net hit it and encased it, holding it down. Dorack had shot the second net at the other wyvern. Then Sodden led his Argy to the ground just next to the Wyverns, Dorack following him, then they landed their Argies at the nest. Dorack hopped off then took a cryopod out of his bag, then threw it at the ground in front of him. Tundra the wolf came out of it. Dorack got on the wolf, then the wolf lunged at the Fire Wyvern’s neck. It was a low level, so it died pretty easily. The poison wyvern was next. After Tundra was done biting the Fire Wyvern, it lept to the Poison Wyvern and bit its wing hard, ripping it apart. Then Tundra ran to its head, and bit its neck. It died soon after. Dorack then opened the inventories of the wyverns to grab one wyvern talon from them. 2 talons down, 58 to go. Then Dorack looked up to see some wyverns roaring, at least 7, flapping their wings hard and gliding downwards towards Dorack and the others. Sodden gasped and yanked the harpoon gun out of his bag, taking out two harpoons. He loaded one and Serenity and Nal loaded one on their guns. Dorack reloaded his gun and they shot the harpoons. The harpoons soared tthrough the air, striked the wings of the Wyverns, and 4 of the Wyverns had nests covering their bodies. They fell to the ground just across the lava river. The last three wyverns were fire wyverns. They roared loudly. “Quick, pick me up!” Dorack shouted. Nal nodded, then the Argies lifted their bodies off the ground and began flapping their wings as they flew to Dorack. Nal’s Argy then extended its talons and they sunk into Tundra’s body, then lifted it up as Dorack gripped tight onto the wolf. The wyverns roared a fire breath along the dead wyverns, but the Argies had gotten out of the way. Two lightning wyverns came and launched a laser at Sodden’s Argy, but the lasers missed and cracked the walls. Nal then dropped the wolf, and it descended down to the wyverns that were netted. Then the wolf opened its mouth and sunk its teeth into the back of one wyvern, then ripped off its skin and tore up its wing.. The wyvern would bleed out. The wolf did the same thing to two more wyverns, then the last one ripped up the net. It lifted its wings, but before it could take off, Tundra bit its left wing and tore it apart, ripping apart its wing, the wyvern screeched and fell forward into the lava pool, and died quickly. The other survivors had netted the other Wyverns and were now killing them off.
After all the wyverns were dead, the survivors got 6 fire talons, 3 poison talons, and 2 lightning talons in total. That was 11 talons in total. The survivors met at the top of the trench, near the dunes.
“What now?” Dorack asked. He had a cryopod in his hand, which had Tundra in it. He sat on his Argy with Nal, while Sodden and Serenity sat on the other Argy.
“We keep going. We will not stop until we have what we need. We just gotta wait for more wyverns to spawn.” Sodden said. Everyone stared at him, and nodded in agreement.
Throughout the day, they waited and waited for around 2 hours, would go hunt more wyverns, then would wait longer. As the sun set that day, their first day of grinding was done. They flew on the Argies back to the base. They also needed levels. Sodden was Level 71, Rod was Level 74, Nal was Level 69, and Dorack was Level 72. Day 22, they hunted more wyverns. At the end of that day, they had 12 lightning talons, 17 fire talons, and 17 poison talons. They got even more levels too. Sodden and Dorack both reached Level 80. They would kill deathworms using the wolf and their alpha raptor with some XP notes to get levels fast. Rod was at Level 79 and Nal was at Level 78. Day 23-27 was the same thing, grinding, leveling, and getting better saddles for the Rexes too. Rexes were done raising, and their saddles were almost done. Each saddle was around 100 armor. They had all the talons too. Then came the final day on Scorched Earth…
You’ll have to wait until Chapter 37 to see!

ARKtic Day 92
24 hours, 40 minutes before Nal and Dorack’s escape
Nal, Dorack, and Jerboa stood in front of the obelisk terminal. They stared deeply at the terminal device, shivering a little from the extreme temperatures of Iceberg. Nal and Dorack held the artifact together, Nal’s hand on the left handle and Dorack’s hand on the right. They carried it onto the top of the terminal device, then it made a click sound as it was inserted into the obelisk. They had to push it in further to activate the message. Nal and Dorack strained and grunted as they pushed the artifact into the device. Then suddenly…
CLUNK!
The artifact began to glow brightly, a blue glow appeared around it. Then a white beam of light shot up from it and flew upwards, then it flew out of Snowball Earth’s forcefield. It flew into the main The Island to Scorched Earth path, flying towards The Island. It then flew towards the volcano inside the force field, striking the terminal to the Tek Cave. Every survivor on The Island saw the light. It hit the terminal device, causing a blue ball to appear around it. Codred heard the commotion and ran out of the castle, dropping the shotgun he was working on (they were still working on the god shotgun at the time lol). Denine came out too, and so did Sal, Paul, Cendor, Rick, and a few others. Codred looked up at the volcano, seeing the beam of light shooting up from it. “What’s that?” Codred said, squinting his eyes at it. “Let’s go see!” Sal yelled. Then everyone took a cryopod out of their bags, threw them at the ground, releasing some Argies. The group got on the Argies then took off for the volcano.
When the Argies reached the volcano, they saw a blue ball of light, which was transparent, and it was rotating slowly. The group landed their Argies just outside of the transparent ball and walked in, then they saw a strange light above the device. It was shaped like a star, and colored silver. Then they heard a voice.
“Hey! Testing. Can you hear me? This should work for you too. It’s a communicator.” The voice said. Codred gasped. He recognized it instantly. “N-Nal? Is that you?” Codred asked, excited. He walked closer to the terminal device.
“I can hear you! It’s working. Hey! It’s been months.” Nal said. Codred yelled in excitement and jumped three times.
“Yes! Oh, it’s you guys! It’s been so long! Where the heck were you guys all this time?” Codred shouted.
“Snowball Earth.” Dorack responded. Codred gasped.
“That’s like… 7 out of 8 difficulty!! I cannot believe you survived that long there!! Without dying once!” Codred yelled.
“Yes. We sent you a warp signal. You just need to get the supplies to send us one.” Dorack said. “Oh, okay. Okay. We have most of it already. We should have it by tomorrow.” Codred responded. Then he heard a voice he didn’t recognize.
“Hey! You must be Codred, as your friends told me, or as you like to go by, Red. I’m Jerboa. I spawned in on that Ark and Nal and Dorack saved me from dying instantly.” Jerboa said. Codred nodded.
“Yeah, that’s me. Nice to meet you. Oh, my god. They’re coming home tomorrow!!” Codred screamed in excitement as he jumped up and down. Everyone cheered and ran to Codred, and jumped for joy. They ran back to their Argies. Codred looked back and said,
“We’ll see you soon.” Then they took off.
Nal and Dorack took the star-shaped communicator off the device and Nal put it in her bag. Nal made a soft chuckle as she and Dorack smiled. “We’re going home tomorrow.” Dorack whispered. Jerboa laughed.
“We’re going home at last!!” Nal yelled. Then she, Dorack, and Jerboa ran at each other and hugged each other. After having a big group hug, they walked to their wolf. “Well, let’s get to our base. Jerboa, you can come with us.” Nal said. Jerboa gasped.
Of course. I just gotta pick up my creatures first. I’ll meet you at your base.” Jerboa said. Nal and Dorack nodded.
“Sounds good.” Nal said. Then they got on their wolves and began to descend down the mountain.
I hope you’re ready for the Segment II Finale!
I wanna get the next chapters out in like 3-6 days.
