Vultures are the best against raider my base was getting raided omve the attackers got in my sun blocking flock of 57 vutures killed not only the raiders but there rex and two argys had the laugh of my life
Vultures can attack from your shoulder, raise melee damage and they act like a 2nd weapon. In addition throwing them at an enemy turns them into a living tracking missile as they seek and destroy your attacker
Vulture base damage is 23 per bite. A rex is 62 damage per bite. So at 300% damage ( which is incredibly easy to get with a vulture ) you essentially have a rex biting from your shoulder every 2-4 seconds. A vulture can get 600%+ damage. In other words, tame two high levels and breed them for nothing but absolutely devastating damage.
Vultures have the ability to keep meats from spoiling a lot longer. Just have the culture Harvest the corpse, as you cannot put the meat on it after the fact, and you should have that prime lasting for quite a while
Placing a tent over it doesn't seem to work anymore. When behind it run and place a tent in the direction it's flying (low to ground) then open the tent door to let it in. Close it straight after and bibs your uncle. Got myself a 150 from doing that method anyway😉
I have been breeding these bad boys, I took out the 7 bred ones and watched them wreck an alpha raptor lvl 70 in 14.9 seconds. I ran up and punched 3 low level Rex's and two low
Level spinos and none of them got a second bite before being shredded. A must have for caving!
Hey are you a low level trying to get into the caves for some god dam reason??? Taming multiple vultures is very useful because of their unique attacking pattern makes them harder to hit when they attack they also attack while on your shoulder (which saved my life so many times) very good tame
Normally a docile creature, the vulture will quickly become aggressive to anything or anyone near a corpse it wishes to feed on. If on foot be wary. Vultures can pack a punch on a fresh player just trying to make ends meat. Running is not advised . To fight make tight circles and stab upwards with a pike or spear. Bows are also very effective.
Very much like a desert dimorphodon, taming a flock of vultures is very useful for battle, they can swarm enemies and deal damage fast. However, they are rather slow, so should be used as a defensive rather than offensive on PVP. For battle purposes, lvl up Health and Melee.
Vultures are probably the best shoulder mount in ark. They will attack from your shoulder, act like missiles, and increase the spoil time of meat. Breeding these bad boys is a good idea, but different then normal. Raising one will require spoiled meat instead of raw meat. This is also am advantage because spoiled meat stands in 100s. They are found on Scorched earth in the dunes. Good luck with these birds - Raisan
Had my vulture on my shoulder during a raid a couple days ago whilst manning a minigun. It took out a 189 wyv and rider that was trying to pick me. It has also killed a mammoth from my shoulder whilst I was sitting on a dragon. Mutton has a 2+hr spoil timer on them as well (island)
Vultures can be very dangerous once attacked. They are very much like wild dimorphodon, attacking the player even if they are on a mount. They can quickly kill a player, especially if there are lots of them
