Journey Through All Creatures
Journey Through All Creatures
Chapter 9: Raid On the Mountain Range
Note: Story starts in Achatina, The Island ABC, and has a Prologue. Last chapter in Deinosuchus.
The NEXT CHAPTER is Chapter 10, the Giganotosaurus chapter. I’ve been building the storyline over time, thinking of how each chapter will go! Last time, Sodden completed the first section of creatures to kill for the day, then Serenity got him to go back to C Tribe’s base because SOMEONE IS THERE WITH A TITAN!!!! Chapter 10 will be a long chapter, maybe longer than Chapter 6. The chapters so far might seem boring to you, or uninteresting, that’s just what I see, or maybe it’s fun, not sure. Either way, let’s prepare for Chapter 10.
“Wait… you’re telling me that the person raiding has a Titanosaur!?” Sodden said as his Giga ran across the hills to Far’s Peak. “Yes, he does. We haven’t even thought about fighting a Titan.” Serenity said as her Giga ran beside Sodden’s Carcha. “Dude. I’ll have to fight that someday to check it off the list. I cannot die. I do not want to lose my levels.” Sodden said. “Well, lucky you can come back at all because people in the C tribe cannot respawn!” Serenity said. “WHAT!? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?!” Sodden screamed. “I just…” Serenity said. “This is a horrible time to tell me this. I cannot fight a Titan! I’m only Level 26 and this is the only real Titan killer I have! What the…” Sodden said. He looked up and saw smoke coming from the mountain’s base. “What the heck?” Serenity said. “I still have creatures to fight. I have to go underwater for the next three creatures. Think you can distract the Titan?” Sodden said. “We can try to lead it away.” Serenity said. “Okay. We have a plan. Just be careful.” Sodden said. “You too.” Serenity said. She threw a cryopod at Sodden and he caught it. Sodden nodded and ran towards the shore in the small valley. Serenity kept going towards the base.
When the Carcha stepped a foot into the water, Sodden hopped off and threw the cryopod out into the sea. Then a large Mosasaur came out. Sodden turned around to see his Carcha. “Hey, stay here. I’ll be back soon.” He said. The Carcha murmured in agreement. Sodden ran into the water, hopped onto the Mosa, put on the scuba gear, and disappeared into the water.
Serenity arrived to the base to see Terad’s Giga army fighting a Carcha army. The Titanosaur was approaching the castle. “Oh, no.” Serenity said. Terad noticed her in the distance. “Dude! Leave! I cannot lose you.” Terad said. “You cannot let your hate towards Rod consume you! You treat your tribe like slaves every time Rod comes. You keep us away. You can get hurt, or even die in this situation! That Titanosaur can destroy us! Focus on now.” Serenity said. “Shut up! Just… NO!! Stop!” Terad yelled as he jerked his head towards the Titan. He ran to it. “NO! Stop! What about Grease! You love Grease so much! DON’T RISK SUCH A VALUABLE TAME JUST BECAUSE YOU HATE ROD!” Serenity screamed. Terad didn’t respond or look back. He kept going towards the Titan to bite it. “Stay away from my friends! You have no right to assault my…” Terad said. The Giga bit the Titan’s leg and it screeched in pain. It turned around and looked down at Terad. Then someone walked to the edge of the saddle and looked down. “Well… I tried. Goodbye, my friend.” He said. The Titan lifted his feet. The Giga screeched and tried to leave, but Terad stopped him. “No. We take down this monster together.” Terad said. Then the Titan’s feet came down and caused a huge shockwave that pushed everything and everyone within 400 meters away. The walls behind the Titan immediately exploded and almost all of the Gigas got pushed back. Terad got flung off and Grease got hit directly by the attack. He tumbled down the hill and then collapsed on the ground, unconscious. Terad landed in a bush a few hundred meters from the base.
Sodden rose from the water with a euryptid in the Mosa’s mouth. He put the Mosa in the cryopod and swam to shore. But when he was climbing on the Carcha, he heard a loud boom. The wind pushed Sodden off the Carcha. He stood up, climbed onto his Carcha, and set out towards the base. After a few minutes, he arrived there and saw the entire Giga army knocked down, part of the walls destroyed, and Terad nowhere to be seen. Serenity’s Giga walked up to Sodden. “What happened here?” Sodden said. “Terad snapped over Rod because he could not stand him. Then he decided it was a good idea to attack the Titan, something he couldn’t do alone. And his rage got his favorite tame almost killed. Part of the wall is broken.” Serenity said. Sodden looked around the field and gasped. The Giga was lying below the Titan, unconscious. There was blood pouring out of its leg. Terad was nowhere to be seen, and the Giga army was down, injured, and unconscious. Then they heard a bush rustle. Then someone ran out of it. He looked around and saw the Titan walking away from the mountain. “They’re going back to their base,” Sodden said. “Not under my watch!” Terad yelled. He ran to his hurt Giga and tried to get him to wake up. “Hey! This is not the time to lay around! We gotta kill that Reaper-feeder, nightmare bringer that ruined my plans!” Terad yelled. Sodden hopped off and ran to him. “Terad! Snap out of it! Look what you did!” He yelled as he pointed his arm towards the fallen Gigas and the survivors on them. Terad looked around and saw Serenity’s Giga. “Okay. We need to get Rod. Now.” Terad said. He ran to the Giga and hopped on it. He directed the Giga towards the retreating Titan. Sodden got on his Carcha and followed.
After around an hour, the Titan arrived at the Giga mountain. Sodden’s Carcha had a horse and Gali in its mouth. Terad was beside the Carcha, riding Serenity’s Giga. Terad shot a grapple towards the platform saddle and reeled towards it. He climbed on to talk to Rod. Rod immediately turned around and said, “Dude. You have to snap out of it. I know there are better ways to deal with rage than this.” Terad didn’t respond. He hit Rod off the Titan. He managed to catch Sodden’s Carcha and then climbed on. “Oh. Hey, dude.” Sodden said. “Terad, calm down!” Rod yelled. Terad didn’t respond. Instead, he jumped onto the Giga and ran down the hill. “Dude!” Sodden said. “Give me Rod,” Terad sneered as his Giga turned around and started growling. “I was not in the Ravage! I did nothing to Serenity! I did not hurt her in any way! I did not send in that Carcha army! I only came with them to confront you! I did not hurt her or you or anyone in your tribe! You can shut up about the…” Rod said. He was about to finish the sentence when something consumed the two survivors entirely, ripped them off the Carcha’s back, and pushed the Carcha off the mountain. Everyone gasped. That wasn’t C Tribe’s Giga or Rod’s.
That was a wild Giga.
Sodden (Level 26) was killed by a Giganotosaurus (Level 135)!
Rod (Level 11) was killed by a Giganotosaurus (Level 135)!
To be continued…
