The only good Velo is a raised Velo with 5 million random mutations in it's ancestry line. No point taming a velo anymore, unless, you are down-levelling.

An imprinted velo can kill a giga alone if it has the speed to outrun one.

Why do people keep petitioning for new abilities and more buffs? Its already way too powerful. It can take down literally anything easily. They dont need to be a tame that ko's other tames, stop asking for them to be something more op than what they are.

It is possible to kill a wild giga with a velonasaur by running passed other dinos so the giga attacks them instead since gigas have the attention span of a reaper leviathan. High movement speed is recommended and at least 5 dips or brontos with only health leveled

Fatal here again today I'll be talking about the velonasaur and right now we are talking about what it's good for

1. Acting like a living turret, the spin-up needle barrage melts through other dinosaurs health bars like it's nothing

2. Defending bases, tames. Resource spots or drop areas

3. HIGH DPS while staying staying stationary aka staying still gives more damage dealing

4. Shredding through corruption creatures, armor ETC

5. Best part is you don't need ammo for the velonasaur all you need is to pump some stats into stamina health and melee damage

6. Riding while dealing ranged damage (rare for creatures)

What it's NOT good for

1. Long travel distance stam drains fast so boost it's stamina

2. Carrying items HORRIBLE WEIGHT STAT

3. Taking sustained melee hits without support needs either more velonasaurs or something else like a yuty

4. Close range duels against very tanky dinosaurs use turret mode and attack from afar

Annoying parts

Their turret mode hurts really bad you'll be ripped apart or anything in that case if they get too close and they run then spin then shoot unpredictable for starters they're usually in dangerous areas too like lava Island on lost island and the desert biome in extinction

Recommended trap for taming or killing

1. 2-3 stone doorframes and a triangle foundation or any foundation u want or stand on a rock and tranq from out of needle range

2. Pump it full of narcotics they wake up quicker than you think

Person: should I take one?

Absolutely worth it. Velonasaurs are one of the strongest defensive and mid-range offensive creatures in the game. Even one velonasaurs can hold off entire waves of dinosaurs and people if placed right. Not great for travelling or hauling, but for combat? This thing is a walking minigun with legs

A living turret cheaper than bullets and way more attitude

Putting this thing on your roof and watch raiders regret their life choices

Stamina is trash but the fire power is absolutely foul, criminal, just.... Outrageous
