What you want to do is tame a male and a female (high levels of course) then have them mass produce. When you have about 10-15 set pump them all into melee and stam and have them wander around the base. And have then on nuetral. So that way the next person to raid you will crash once all of the velonsaurs start shooting

If you can't afford turrets use this guys

These can shred through most creatures.

Good at shredding things, use right click attack and hold it on a large dino like a bronto or rex, and it will be dead in seconds. It can also wreck gigas and titanosaurs given it lives long enough.

Great as a turret with high melee they do ridiculous damage. Breeding is about like the carno.they will replace the megala and rex can drop a titan with a few swipes of its aoe

Their ranged attack is only effected by melee damage when ridden. If used as a turret (which is what these things are best at) then only do health and stamina. Even a freshly tamed 224 can handle blue and yellow drops alone.

Upgrade melee on your mount, the rest just do health and stamina. A ridden imprinted velo can do literal thousands of damage per second, and a decent turret can do it’s dps (shoots about five times a second I think, so 100?) for about thirty seconds.

Pump all levels into stam, melee and movement speed and put on a quetzal plat form saddle put on aggressive and you have yourself a FRICKIN FIGHTER JETTTTTT

2k armor renders its attacks useless.

Shreds elementals like paper as it ignores almost all of its armor.

It will spread through you armor but had a HUGE nerf

If you're gonna use these in turret mode, LEVEL THEIR STAMINA! They deal a fixed amount of damage in turret mode so levelling Melee Damage won't do much good. Make sure you have a tek trough full of raw meat nearby, because they go through meat like it's going out of style when recovering stamina. Having a greenhouse growing Plant Species R-1 is recommended if you don't wanna go out and hunt.

can someone start submitting tips on saddles like blueprints and where to get good ones on all dinos

I have a lot of fun with these, really great for OSBs, or just being in the extinction waste lands. you can just gun down anything that agros and it actually does good damage with its claws

I love this Dino because it have it all from needles shooting to crowd control to speed runner to jumping Dino and you can make this Dino guard you or your base no gas or electric need

These things can dismount u off of ur flyer if it hits u too many times or stops u from lifting off the floor if ur landing, beware guys.

Velonasaurs are just cheap turrets put them on a platform saddle on a quetzal with a feeding trough and there you go infinite ammo

This mobile turret is broken as hell.

Easy win in an one on one against a Carno or a Allosaur. Just find it, tame it, get a saddle and kill everything in your way.

PS: The more stamina your dino has, the longer you can shoot the needles

I freaking love these things, they are so high damaging and I tamed one in evolved and I'm waiting for fjodor or whatever it's called to come out so I can tame another in ASA. SO so excited
