Velonasaur's have three attacks as far as I'm concerned. Bite, spike tail whip, thorn machine gun. They can jump and sprint but not while aiming to shoot thorns. Hope this helps people Just starting to tame new creatures!

High level pack of atleast 5 of these are enough to take down any Dino.

This dino is the key to all the blueprints that you really want. Uncryo one of these bad boys on the ledge in the Lava Golem fight and there will be nothing he can do about it.

Potentially the best dino I've used in caves. Spam the stamina and use turret mode in caves, takes out centipedes and spiders easily.

Velonasaurs are a perfect first tame for any freshly wiped PVP server, as it allows you to run lava cave with relative ease and start of the wipe with some good blueprints.

Ah, the Velonasaur is a mighty thing to behold. Equipped with a face full of quills, and a tail with quills also, it can shoot them out of its tail in a circular motion. The Velonasaur can also become what most say a “Living assault rifle”. Their normal claw swipe deals moderate damage, and they are quite speedy. The turret mode burns through stamina, and consumes food at a moderate pace. If you want the quills to deal more damage, upgrade melee damage! One last thing, the quills bypass the rock elementals armor, dealing the same damage as a normal creature! Thus concludes my knowledge on the Velonasaur—— DubXshrimp

If you want an infinite ammo turret raft use these.all you got to do it make a 2 bye 2 on the raft of any kind of mat make the house and the place 2 ceilings on each side.then place 8 double doorframes on each side.finally put the velos in the 2 bye 1s on the raft and put them on turret mode and there you have an infinite ammo turret raft

They shadow nerfed velonasaurs last update. They were doing 20 damage unridden now they do 12.

I clapped a magmasaurs cheeks with one of these they're op as hell.

Ranged attack will grounds flyers after a few shots.

Use the thrash ability against large creatures such as rock elementals and the turret ability against smaller creatures. I would only recommend using the claw ability as a last resort.

it melts trough lava boss on rag. get it on the little ledge and fire. can be a low level too. make sure to bring some meat.

Abslutly broken use it to drop it on the back of deserttitans or at the foot of groot and easily kill them. Prefect for killing high hp target like Giga or titans

You can not use it's ranged attack when you are mounted on it it on spins around. Please tell me how to use it gun attack wile on its back

Leveling melee only increase the projectile damage only when your riding the velo, if your planning to use it as a current then there's no point of putting points to melee. Level health and stamina.

Why are people saying to put this on a quetzal? Can’t you just get a Tropeognathus?

They run pretty slow, but hey have a lot of Stam. You should prob lvl up stam for being able to mini gun things. Also, if you need fish, just go into a river and do the tertiary attack where it spins around

Velonosaurs are awesome alternatives for turrets
