ok so lits start with the basics you need 24 tranqs from a crossbow to ko it.

you need a 2x2x1 wooden trap with doors and ramps.

you can easily lead it by walking infront of it and just staying out of melee range and not to far that it turret modes you once in the trap theres not much more i can say.

It can’t shoot through door frames. Simple tame if you stand on a foundation behind 2 door frames adjacent to each other.

If you build a 2x2 and have walls 2-tall on all but 1 side and have ramps going up this is trappable.

Lead it in by shooting it and standing behind the trap so it will walk up the ramp and fall in.

Use ramp for cover from its needles as you shoot it.

If you want to fight or knock one out, get up close and hope that it will then opt to use its melee rather than it's spines, as the latter will shred you in a matter of seconds. Trapping it with a bola is also a good method as it will be unable to turn its body to fire at you, but still be wary of it's AOE where it shakes and shoots spines in a small radius around it.

Cool scenario (but this time it’s defense)

Setting: tribes mobile titano base, current position: plains, enemy attacking with allos, yuty, daedon, and quetz dropships with dodo bombs and other fliers. Amount unknown

Base: on titano plat saddle (6 tek auto turrets on top, base level one: armory. Level 2: electrical stuff. Level 3: storage)

Creature 1: Velonasaur (12 positioned on top in turret mode, 8 others total positioned on balconies around base, also on turret mode. 4 others loaded into quetz dropship.)

Creature 2: rock drake (4 clinging invisibly to the sides of the base, tek saddles equipt, ready for takeoff on a moments notice.)

Creature 3: tropeoganthus (4 total equipped on runway on top of the base, 2 with tek grenades, 2 with other grenades of choice.)

I don’t have enough characters left for this so I will make the scenario starting with {first defense scenario}

The only good Velo is a raised Velo with 5 million random mutations in it's ancestry line. No point taming a velo anymore, unless, you are down-levelling.

An imprinted velo can kill a giga alone if it has the speed to outrun one.

You don’t need prime meet or kibble you can just use normal meet it only take 10 min it’s just 6 min and 30 secs longer than prime and kibble and so much easier to get and the saddle is low level so it’s a good low level tame just the area is Hard if you’re not careful

This Dino, as I hear it, is supposed to be OP. I wouldn't doubt it. Must be tame.

There are rumors of these guys spawning on Ragnarok those rumors are not true do not believe them ive been pretty much everywhere on ragnarok but have seen none!

What I did was find a level 4 velonasaur and it was out with 3 tranq darts and after you get a saddle you can shred almost any Dino in the desert and it’s xp goes up really fast. I got mine yesterday and it’s currently level 60 from just picking off random dinos

Just have a tribe mate walk up to it with a metal shield and you can tranq it while it slashes your tribe mate to death

Found an easier taming method if on Extinction desert biome, try finding one around the dome perimeter. Stand in between the desert biome and corruption wasteland, you’ll realize that the dome protects you from velo’s spikes if you’re outside. While the velo is in the dome, it’ll stay ranged and won’t go out of dome, keep on coming in and out of dome layer to shoot and protect yourself from needles. Easy to tame, I’m able to drop multiple in a spot! Up so noobs could see!

If you encounter one of these you should get some tranq arrows and a Pteranodon then you can just snipe at it

Was playing trying to tame one and didn’t realize that it will absolutely touch you if you don’t have hidey spot

Just shoot it with tranq arrows until it runs out of stamina then its pretty easy
