Look up how to build a trap, it's cheap and you can literally just sacrifice an hp leveled shark to tame it. It is the best way to survive this tame.

Won't attack you 'til you attack it. If you find some washed up on the shore take a rex or something else you have with high HP (10k HP+) and let it grapple onto it - while it's grappled jump off your mount and go in between tentacles to feed. It'll let go of your mount on its own after a while.

Solo tame is possible. Just gotta be good and have a plan before hand.

How to tame a Tuso!

First, let’s prepare!

What you need: A tame. Tuso’s can grab most creatures, except Basilio’s and other creatures that you shouldn’t use for this tame anyway. Make sure it either has a high oxygen stat or can breathe underwater. Also pump it’s levels into health. SCUBA gear, no Lazarus chowder as this tame is a longer one. Black pearls, in stacks of 50.

How to tame

Find a Tuso; I have only ever found them around Carno Island. Swim down to it on your tame. Let it aggro on you and grab your tame. You will know you have been grabbed because your screen will move around without you moving it. Now dismount, and quickly swim up to its beak-thing, with the black pearls in your last slot of your inventory (In a stack of 50), and feed. Repeat a couple times, the higher the level the more feeds, until tamed.

Now you have tamed a Tuso!

Utilities

Tuso’s are very powerful, with an ink and a grab ability. Their grab ability will deal torpor as well as regular damage to whatever they’re holding.

When they are killed they drop:

Black pearls.

Tuso tentacle-a tribute for a boss, I believe the dragon.

Absorbent Substrate, a material for the gas mask.

There are also alpha variants of the Tuso, which drop:

Even more black pearls.

Alpha Tuso Eye, a tribute for the Overseer boss.

If you are taming on small tribes a 150 goes to 72% with a single feed. After the feed give it a bat juice and boom insta tame 150 100%. Can use shadowmane. The thorns doesn't mess with the taming

How to Tame a tuso without any casualties.

1. Be ready with a balm and black pearls. You want to have it tamed instantly or you can end up with a dead tame. Use Cooked Prime meat if compromise.

2. Agro them back to coast

3. Have it grab a Tame with high hp.

4. Feed it as fast as possible

Uses:

1: Oil Generator

2: Good Tame overall

3: Can Carry Ankys and has high weight

4: Tank. They have significantly high hp and Damage. You should ride them otherwise the AI will mess up a lot.

How to easy Tuso tame on mobile: do hunt megapirrahnah for 10x balm and get scuba gear. Then, find a Tuso and wait for it to grab a turtle. After that it’s easy taming.

Don't bother searching for black pearls in Ark Mobile! Feed the squid a stack of cooked prime meat after giving it soothing balm!

(This works well on easy servers, check gamepedia for how many stacks it'll need with soothing balm)

Take a raft (make sure there aren’t any Leedsichthys around!) then put a chest on the raft full of black pearls and take 50 at a time. An take a lot of Carbonemys or a basilo and tame. Beware the weight of the pearls!

How to tame except I actually have grammar

Get a turtle and level up health. 5,000+ should be good.

Get 50 black pearls and a cryopod with your turtle in it.

Take a fast sea mount (ichthyosaurus would be fine) and start searching for tuso. (They spawn at the bottom of the ocean)

If you can't find one go on a killing spree with a mosasaur or whatever to open up spawn spots

After a bit start searching again and when you find one deploy your turtle and have the tuso grab it. This should be easy since they're aggressive. When it grabs the turtle, go near it's beak and feed it the pearls.

And now you have a tuso!

U can pickup their eggs. U don't need to get a gacha now (to pick them up) :)

The interval between the 1st and 2nd feed is actually more like 22 minutes! If you attempt 2nd fees before that time it will grab and not let go!!

A decent sarco can tank the squid and since tlc sarcos spawn nearly everywhere it should be easy enough to get one let it tank feed swim up repeat enjoy your new squid

Best way I found is to have a good spino with levels pumped into health (preferably at least 20k) and a good saddle if you can. You let the squid grab the spino, you wait a few seconds, then hop off feed it the pearls, make sure the spino is of follow and swim straight up. Just rinse and repeat until taned

They are passive tames with bald pearls but there’s a catch it needs to be grabbed onto one of your tames so you can feed it. (Mobile)

Go tame 1 or 2 turtles and bring them with u and make it go near the squid if it doesn't latch on make it attack it and then when it latches on (make sure black pearls are in last slot) feed it by going up to its mouth u have to swim up the tentacles. (I would recommend killing everything nearby that's hostile btw)
