Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a troodon? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a troodon.
Beware! These brats always travel in packs even if it doesn’t look like it at first. They also become highly aggressive at night so watch your back.
Pro tip, domt use your soon to be F baby breeder rex to tame one of these only to lose it anyway to a 3rd party pack of raptors :(
I just tamed a 120 one.
What I did was I had 3 150+ Baby Brontos in cryopods and a high durability shield and stimulants in my hot bar. Throw the baby Bronto out of the cryopod (with cryo sickness) then let the Troodon out of the cage. Kite the Troodon around your unconscious tame and if you get hit eat a stimulant. (Stimulants prevent you from gaining torpor for a couple seconds as well as lowering your torpor).
When your tame dies throw out your next one and kite around it the same. Do this until it tames.
You need to do everything seperate because for whatever reason if it hits another tame at the same time as killing another one it will reset the xp gain and you won’t be able to tame it
They are now on ark mobile you can get only one from the burning fjord dungeon
Summon the whole world’s arsenal to kill this little shite
MULTIPLE OF YOUR PRIZED TAMES SOULS FOR A SOUL!!!!!!
If spotted, RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK. If you don't run or it catches up, RIP.
troodons ai seems to more cosistently attack a mounted player. if you're not mounted it's ai is left to RNG to decide if it will attack at all and has a long cool down. troodons will also try to attack whatever is carrying it and can attack when carried by an Argy. I had the best result when using a tanky argy and several (6) baby yutys (230ish) over roughly 30% maturity, all set to lowest follow, baby dinos flee unless whistled. when the troodon stopped attacking I picked it up and flew over my trap until it attacked again. when I landed I whistle all follow and moved as needed so all of the babies are getting hit. use the move command on a nearby spotif the yutys are blocking your movement. day/night only matters for exp gained and having additional troodons nearby for mate/pack boost did not increase the damage per hit as far as I could tell.
Better to tame at night just remember these little schemers are dangerous and will knock you out and also hit you while you are knocked out beware.....
Just tamed one of these with a baby argy at night on mobile. Babies seem to work well and don’t use adult Dino’s unless you have like a stock of them. You guys should try out baby argys and other baby Dino’s that are bigger
Use easy and common takes like parasaurs or phiomias. Recommend taming these creatures before a troodon. If you can get a pen, grab the troodon with an argy or something and drop it in. This way you have the troodon ready for taming
I hate these they killed my pterodactyl
I tried to tame one of these things but it destroyed my trap so I killed it and I was walking away and then I got knocked out.
Just use bad wyverns yu hatch. Use them as baby’s
Tame these with baby Dino's, its off putting seeing that you need to sacrifice a giga for a perfect tame until you realise it can be a freshly hatched giga that's had little work put into.
In ASA you could find a baby and imprint it to tame it
Lure it into a pit made out of stuff it can't brake and start chucking dodos
For the best lvl when taming get a male and a female wyvern (both the same type and try to get lower lvl ones) breed them and gat a few eggs. When you hatch the eggs don't feed the babies unless you must. Keep them away from troughs and hope that they starve. For the taming pen make a 6 by 6 square with stone floors then use stone door frames as walls. You only need to go one up with the doorframes but to be safe you might want to turn it into a small room so that if the wyvern can't fly out. Find a troodon and drop it into the pen with an argy or a griffin then get a wyvern and get it down to a low health (40 is probably best) put it in the pen and get the troodon to agro onto it. Make sure the wyvern is on neutral and you are not riding it (lost 5 wyverns while testing things out so don't do those) I've heard that it's best to tame them at night but i haven't tried it yet so i can't say much. When you have your troodon enjoy your new friend!
So… a creature so small that it can be carried by a pteranodon can eat the biggest creature in the game?
Think dododex
It needs to kill a baby but you need to be near the baby and you have to avoid it's bites until it's tamed but you might need more than one baby, I depends on what level your taming.
