Taming & KO Tips
How do I tame a troodon? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a troodon.
To tame these advanced compys all u gotta do is scarification a mutated griffin......
Lol just kidding all u need to do is sacrifice any Dino , the more eco the Dino gives the more taming % you will get and ur tame MUST be on neutral so I suggest u sacrifice a baby giga since that gives the most exp or maybe a rex baby and remember ur tame MUST be on neutral
Better to tame at night just remember these little schemers are dangerous and will knock you out and also hit you while you are knocked out beware.....
Use scorps. At most you will need like 11, to 15 around level 100-150. Scorpions don't need kibble, can be picked up with and argie. And best of all, they are easy knock out and tame. Since they only take spoiled meat. They are also pretty easy for a troodon to kill.
If spotted, RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK. If you don't run or it catches up, RIP.
Use easy and common takes like parasaurs or phiomias. Recommend taming these creatures before a troodon. If you can get a pen, grab the troodon with an argy or something and drop it in. This way you have the troodon ready for taming
I recommend using gigas or wyvern
This is for all Mobile users so please up because I had to figure it's taming myself and get past a certain problem everyone faces
Okay so listen up,make a small cage with Stone windows and the second layer just walls, you can crouch through the window frame, wear ghillie armor and crouch he won't detect you at all unless ur in his face, now get your tame and lower its health by unclaiming it, once its below 100 (careful not to kill it) claim it back put the saddle and walk it inside (DONT FORGET TO PUT IT AT NEUTRAL) now let the troodon lower its health and before it does the last 2 hits get off (you have to get off because if it kills ur tame while ur on it won't count it) you get off and the troodon will get the kill and get a taming bar,it's recommended at night because they tame faster
Now the easier way to do it,drop baby's in there because baby's won't fight back just make sure it's at neutral and don't worry about its tame bar it drops 0.1 every 1.5 seconds (remember you can crouch through the window frame)
So… a creature so small that it can be carried by a pteranodon can eat the biggest creature in the game?
Think dododex
troodons ai seems to more cosistently attack a mounted player. if you're not mounted it's ai is left to RNG to decide if it will attack at all and has a long cool down. troodons will also try to attack whatever is carrying it and can attack when carried by an Argy. I had the best result when using a tanky argy and several (6) baby yutys (230ish) over roughly 30% maturity, all set to lowest follow, baby dinos flee unless whistled. when the troodon stopped attacking I picked it up and flew over my trap until it attacked again. when I landed I whistle all follow and moved as needed so all of the babies are getting hit. use the move command on a nearby spotif the yutys are blocking your movement. day/night only matters for exp gained and having additional troodons nearby for mate/pack boost did not increase the damage per hit as far as I could tell.
The best way to tame is by having baby wyvern and gigs. I fed gigs to them 1 time but didn't go well
Tame these with baby Dino's, its off putting seeing that you need to sacrifice a giga for a perfect tame until you realise it can be a freshly hatched giga that's had little work put into.
Feed garbage baby wyverns(lvl 85+) to them for an easy tame. I use a glowpet to find 150s, with an argent, and just grab and drop in a taming pen. Run around the wyvern to get the troodon to attack if need be...just bring stimulants. Easy to breed as well once you get a pair.
Taming it in the wild is annoying. I suggest building a 2x2 trap with solid walls because they will run through doorway. Drop it in with an argy and use the argy to drop whatever you're feeding it in there with it. Stand far enough away so you dont have to hear the horrid sounds and drop in the next dino when you get the your dino was killed message. Repeat until tamed.
Lure it into a pit made out of stuff it can't brake and start chucking dodos
Can someone tell me how a damn pack of troodons killed my argy, Rex and me. Wait I just realised my tames were on passive 🙊🙊🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
"Get a Wyvern...."
Don't listen to these idiots. As if your going to find, let alone tame a Wyvern before seeing one of these.
I've not tamed one but I'd imagine sacrificing dodos at night is the way to do it.
cool run 122 jump 907 fast human runs
Build a trap put a troodon in and put some tamed stuff in the trap (cryosick aggresiv) the troodon will kill only aggresiv tames so its an easy tames thanks to the cryopot
Feeding them a tamed paracer fills alot of the taming process.
Tame up a group of them and put them in like moat like design, like a hallway around the base or make em fall into it.
