If you have a wyvern or argy, easiest way I found to tame is to set up a taming pen, 2x4 with single door frames on the first level, walls on the second(stone), with a Dino gate on one end. Go pick up your dragon of choice and drop it in! Super easy and quick.

Mobile little base all you need is a tent, do to the smithy on the saddle. Put in to health and melee and a little weight. speed is just about perfect for other situations.

Watch out, since its temperament is defensive. Not neutral nor aggressive. It doesn't attack you within sight, but if you get really close, it will agro...

The spines are kinda broken up close as they knock you out in 1 hit. Just use a goo tank mont to knock them and you will be fine

For me I tamed him on ark fjurdur in balheimr I used a argentavis to go to a high area and then I started shooting him with tranq arrows it took me like 14-15 tranq arrows then I gave him raw prime meat and then I tamed him. Hope this helped. Good luck for everyone taming him.

To knock out this creature you can use a flying creature to reach a tall stone or hill that it won't be able to climb then shot it with your tranqs, if and when it suits spikes at you move back slightly to dodge them. Good luck.

A good idea is to get a shield use it so you don't get Knocked out

These guys can easily be killed when you are trying to tame it with a normal crossbow. Of course space the shots out by 5 seconds. Whether they are in a taming pen or I am tranqing them while riding another tame it doesn't hurt to kill a wild creature and make it attack you will standing over the creature it should eat it and heal up making the tame process less worrisome.

How to tame:

Find one ( in cliff area of desert )

Shoot it with tranqs and dodge quills ( use a boomerang on low levels, so u don’t kill it)

Repeat this until it’s knocked out

Clear area of dangers and feed ( raw meat works but raw mutton is 100x better)

Voila! Now name it Spikey

To get one find one with a baby then kill the mother with a bow or spears. That’s how I got my level 50 fully imprinted one
