Thorny dragons are deadly to tame bc they spawn in groups of 2 and have tranquilizing venom in their needles. I recommend building a trap or placing some bear traps to then easily knock out and tame the large carnivore. Once tamed they act as good fighters, have a smithy saddle, tranq ballista of sorts, and most importantly: wood gatherer’s next I will be doing one of the following: reaper, rock drake, ravager, roll rat, karkinos

there are 2 of them next to my base in lost island, help. I dont know what to do!

So I tamed like 5 of these guys and made them into a turret around my base and I went offline the next day I just see one missing but the other 4 have gotten like 30 lvls

Use net projectile and on scorched earth instant tame with raw mutton

use argy to carry it around for wood and thatch

Easy tame just get crossbow stand on rock it cant reach and just shoot it with thanks ( there are better methods but this requires little preparation)

We picked him up with a crystal wyvern and I shoot him from the ground with tranq darts. It was easy. Just be sure you are standing behind them (crystal wyver thorny combo), or the thorny can hit you with his stings.

Mostly used for wood gather and maybe could be used as a knockout tame

Can be carried by argents. Hopefully this helps.

Their invintory works like a smithy

All taming stats are wrong-- bring extra narcotic, and expect 1 less lvl than stated.

I love the spines but stamina could use a boost it stamina is really bad

It may be pokey.

For the level 135 the narcotics are wrong you will probably need 59 on 2x but you will be cutting it close.

You can knock out low levels with something as simple as the boomerang. Just try not to get hit by too many quills. One or two per barrage shouldn't be too bad. Anything beyond that could be certain death

Ive needed more narcs for low lvl. 18 more

Use it as tranq turrets and storage box. Encumber it on a pillar and set on aggresive. Boom. Boost health and dmg.

If want to tame this guy get a dodicirus and weaken it with the boomerang this will nock it out. Remaber a pacey this works for me in fact i have 12 right now.

Tips:

They are decent swimmers

Just upgrading there strength a little there thorn shooting ability packs a punch

Don’t take them to battle unless high level, I lost a lot of them trying to take on a sarco

I just got into Ragnorok and just got into Creative Mode and just pulled up on this guy, waiting for Wyvern eggs to spawn and give to my friends (on Valguero)
