Best not to go alone when taming. The Tapejara Flys 3x the height of a Phteredon normally so you are more likely to find this one at higher altitudes. If possible use Chain Bola on the back of a Quetzal, DO NOT GET CLOSE, although they have very little stamina and speed when tamed, but hardly ever need to land when wild. Best thing to do is to scare it closer to your base then tranq it. If you don't have anyone else, using a parachute and a high lvl crossbow will be necessary. Jump off your bird of choice then use parachute, whistle follow and begin to get close as possible. Shoot ahead of the Bird right after it turns. When it lands DO NOT STARVE TAME. Its too hard to feed the prime meat it needs. Put raw asap unless Allosaurus kibble is at hand. Keep a close eye on it, use spike walls and a door to close off from any predators due to low health, Good luck Taming!

To knock out throw a bolla get them on the ground and use tranq darts or electric prods of possible allows a faster knock out for the bollas. Other ways is ride as a passenger on a high movement speed argie and shoot as you chase it.

Easy mode: eat rare flowers and kite Jara to a safe location (high map boundaries etc somewhere flat and no Dino’s) bola then tranq no need for spikes or taming huts easy tame and you have a great defensive view with no surprise angles. Works in pvp and pve

If you attempt to try my way don’t let the creature eat anything while it’s awake(keep them from their food Source) or just knock it out immediately after waking. Good luck

It's so simple to tame these Tapejara. Just throw one bola, tranq it with 10 tranq arrows and feed them with fish meat and raw meat.

It's not that hard to tame them

0 outa 10 don't recommend taming this, even a pterdedon is better

To tame a tape make a griffin cage an a qestul then catch a tape in it then take in to ground nok it out poot kibble in it then take it home it will get shot by turret then repeat proses

Have a good quetzal or griffin or any flyer you can shoot off and don’t KO over a swamp

Add 1 extra for cooked lamb taming

Build a little base and lure it in using rare flowers so it'll follow you then trap it and put your dino in a cryopod

I found one in the raised area between south one and west one, 2 bolos and 3 tranq arrows later, it was unconscious, wait 10 seconds between shots in order to Kerri its health up, then kill a death chicken to get meat to tame it, mine died but 10 out of 10 for flying with friends

Pretty easy if you have rare flowers, just fly up to em with the flower aggro "buff" active, then land, bola n shot em in the head. GG enjoy your tap :)

I tamed a tabagara with out gilli i used a crossbow and a heck of a fast argentaves man it was hard but i have a lvl 678 tabagara =]

It’s not keeping it unconscious and giving it food that’s the hard part, IT’S KEEPING THE THING ALIVE THATS HARD, ESPECIALLY WITH 0 WAYS TO DEFEND IT.

Step 1: Find Tapejera.

Step 1.5: Sneak up on Tapejera.

Step 2: BOLA TAPEJERA (this most important step)!

Step 3: Tranq darts using crossbow into it’s face for appropriate lvl.

Step 4: Shove prime meat down it’s gullet so you won’t need narcotics.

Step 5: Build spike wall around Tapejera so you can patrol the perimeter and wait for it to be tamed.

Step 6: Fly off on your Tapejera!

If u can't sneak up on it, ride a fast create such as a raptor or a sabethooth and follow it wille shooting.

I used a saberthooth to tame 2 tapejaras it was easy.

If you are an low LVL and can't get an Gili then just stalk it until it goes down then you bola and punch or tranq it but if you have Gili you still need to stalk it but you would not be found that easily by the tapejara I promise you it's worth it trying to get an tapejara

Step 2. Knock it out with club,slingshot,crossbow and tranq ore longneck rifle and darts ECT.

This ring tames sowely without kibble do you're going to want prime meat ore kibble

Step 3. Keep it onconcius long enoth(if you're a mobile player buy a soothing balm).

Step 4. Give you're tapejara a sick name

Step 5. Enjoy you're new ride that can carry more than a pteranadon and is faster then a pteranadon(it can also hang on 90-160 degrees cliffs(meaning very steep ore overhangs)
