Tropes are basically are rip off Tapejaras. The have landing and attack animations and sound FX. Tropeos also can fly backwards like the Tapejara if the rocket is off. Tapejaras are going to be forgotten about.

If you're looking for a Tapy, they tend to be found all across the (island) map at REALLY high altitudes (Like around the middle/top of obelisks)... People say they are rare, but if you know where to look you can find them EZ PZ... I know this because I have found 14+ in 2 days.

Best way to tam3 is get on a pteranodon follow one land shoot the tape with a dodo arrow and lead it into a trap easy tame just make sure you have enough health ( they don’t like being shot by dodo arrows)

When sneaking up to kill don’t get sighted

Day 1: I wanted to tame one of these to help tame a quetz. I found 2; one was level 90, the other was level 15. I chase the level 90 for half an hour, and then it vanished. So I went for the level 15. One shot with my tranq dart to the head, and it died. So I take its implant to revive it and tame it. Day 2: I build a trap around the green obelisk, and revive it. I shoot it once, and it doesn’t go down. I shoot it a second time, and it dies again. I spend the rest of the day collecting more amber. Day 3: I revive it once more. I FINALLY KNOCK IT OUT! It’s taming, and has full torpor, so I fly back to my base. I’m gone for literally 2 MINUTES, and when I get back, it vanished. It didn’t even wake up and fly away. It just vanished😭

Bola it, and tranq. I got really lucky and got an ascendant bow when I was lvl 10 so it’s not hard for me but if you don’t have one(you probably don’t) just bola and tranq. Remember if you don’t have regular prime meat USE PRIME FISH it’s only slightly worse than regular prime meat and kill salmon and use sickle salmon are everywhere

Soooo eezy there are two ways take an argie and kill one and resurrect at obelisk and bola and tame with all kibble and u can use chef station for it and the second u need chilliest go to green obelisk bola nick out with one tranq to the head and feed it allo kibble only two for a level 4 and boom u have a tape and don’t forget to do the thin air pursuit to get a journeyman one and 10 parachutes

I live an island away from the red ob and I’ve seen one on the beach. It did spook at first but, it came to land after a bit. My new tamed tape, Anxiety Butterfly, is still well and living. Btw I’m mobile

The Tapejara is useless in singleplayer, only tame it in multiplayer. My tribe has a few of these and one of us drives and two of us shoot everything :)

These are really cool useful to tame big Dino as 3 people can ride them at a time. It can stick to walls and can fly in all directions

Still no saddle engram for primitive servers on Xbox, it's been out for a while.

The tapejara can turn in all directions while flying and has a front and back seatso it can make taming easier (like very dangerous animals like direbears and direwolves and terror birds etc) do to you turning in the air by looking at places. In unofficial servers (YOUR unofficial servers for Xbox) can be used for aiming at things with commands (kill dotame forcetame and some that I missed) by getting the command ready and using it as fast as possible when in range. Be careful when taming something that you don't get too close because it will damage the front/backseat player and the tapejara if you the back/front seat player gets hit by the attack.

If your taming a titanosaur this is very effective because of there can be 2 riders holding rocket launchers

If it's possible to have a Quetz on the server you're trying to tame it on, have a platform saddle on the Quetz and start by putting foundations(and if needed) ceilings in a 4x4 square on the platform next use door frames and put them stacked 3 high on all sides then put ceilings to cover the top and then find a Tapejara you want to tame and fly straight behind it, after a few attempts(or maybe the first time for some people) the Tapejara will glitch through the door frames making it trapped and after that you can knock it out and begin taming. WARNING: if possible try not to be next to Tapejara when knocking it out it has a chance of making you glitch through the foundations and your Quetz causing you to fall to your death, I recommend after trapping it fly down near the ground and start knocking it out. If you’ve got a tribe mate then you have to tame one of these parrot Bois

They will change your taming expeditions dramatically The saddle has three seats so you can ride it and your tribe mate can shoot tranqs of the back

They are also good for travelling since they can cling onto cliffs

They are verry good at soaking even with the flyer debuf just be sure it has beer and that you never stop moving and you fly high

You can tame these early game you just need a bola and a club and hit it in the head you can use sleepy berries but I recommend sleepy juice (narcotic) of bio toxin if there is Cnidaria close to beach then do a long bola snipe shot then smack it in the head with the club then wait and
