Use flowers to aggro, lead to trap, tame with ease

Use rare flowers to get it to follow you, lead it to a trap, bola it, tranq it, and boom nice tame

Simplist method will be to eat some rare flowers, bola it, then knock it. Simple.

Wait for it to land bola it from far away and shoot few times in the head, spike wall around it and you’re good to go.

Has anyone tried placing a tent on top of it to prevent escape like you do with a lymantria?

The way I tamed was by giving it food with narcs and ran off

The Tapejara has a lot of general utility value when it comes to taming as well as building, however it's true value is PvP once it has the tek Tapejara saddle

Tapejaras are easy to tame if you use rare flowers to aggro it to you and you bait it into a pen, tranq arrows should work just fine

Eat rare flower, lure it in trap. Stays unconscious for ages.easy

Eating a rare flower will agro it to attack you. Have your mount set to passive and eat the flower on your mount, and the Tapejara will attack your mount. Hop off the mount, Bola it, and knock it out. This has by far been the easiest and least stressful way to get a Tapejara. Cannot stress enough, Bring rare flowers!!

All these Ghillie tips are nice but all you need to really do is bring rare flowers. Make sure you're on a Ptera and there aren't any Pteras around. Then just keep eating the flowers and lure the Tapajara to your base or a safe spot, green obelisk is best as there is little to no threat besides people's auto turrets and they're most commonly found at green obelisk.

Eating a rare flower will attract the Tapejara to you for about 10 seconds. They can't resist the fragrance and you can bola and tranq for taming. (*get rare flowers from raiding beaver dams)

Easiest way I have found is to chase them in to a corner or canon wall before knocking them out they scare easy and will run as soon as you get near good luck

Pretty easy to tame while using another flier and wearing armor. While in the air, use Rare Flowers to aggro and lead it back to a safe place for bola and tranqs. Remember to fly high so the Rare Flowers don't attract unwanted creatures. When you're trying to bola it, keep using Rare Flowers to prevent it from running away.

Find lots between the volcano and redwood biomes on the island... Picked up a pretty cool black and gold level 94 today just run up with bola hit it then traq with darts for lowest kill chance and make sure to keep all carnivores away from it... Or else it probably won't belong to you anymore
