To tame one of this you need a bolas and try not to scare this tapejara cause I tried this before, and after it’s knock out don’t leave it unprotected because when you knock it out it has low health

Eat a rare flower and while it’s chasing you turn around and throw a bola

Set tame on passive. Fly past, eat rare flower, land, use bola and a club. Go find Ovis, easy tame, stays unconscious for ages

Ride on it with another tribe mate so that you can fly and your tribe mate can possibly tame the quetz

They gain stamina when latched onto the side of a cliff. Especially useful on SE as they will even regen Stam this way during a sandstorm

Use rarw flowers on your mount, then it will attack your dino. Bola it while it attacks your dino. Then tranq it.

I would just trade one there very good and fast if not just shoot the crap out of it with a longneck rifle with tranks :)))

To knock it out go near it and eat a rare flower. Once it attacks you bola it and shoot it with tranqs.

Don't leave in a forest came back to it in the water dead with terror birds hanging around it

If you feel you need to get closer, using ghillie armour will allow you to get closer than if you wear any other armor.

Bola it and once caught, then walk right up and use tranq darts or shocking tranq darts which is what I prefer (even though they require more materials to make). Took one shocker to the head for a low level.

A fairly decent flying mount, certainly better than a petrodon

Use rare flowers to get it to follow you, lead it to a trap, bola it, tranq it, and boom nice tame

Simplist method will be to eat some rare flowers, bola it, then knock it. Simple.

Wait for it to land bola it from far away and shoot few times in the head, spike wall around it and you’re good to go.

Has anyone tried placing a tent on top of it to prevent escape like you do with a lymantria?

The way I tamed was by giving it food with narcs and ran off
