Best way to tame the Tape: Sit on a Pteranodon and fly close to the Tape, eat 2-3 rare flowers and that Tapejara will try to kill you because its gets aggressiv from the smell of the flowers. Now just fly into a cave or a taming box where the bird cant escape!

So on the center I have learned if you have fully ghillie armor and spot one on the ground you can crawl closer to it to boala it before it see you and takes off. If it's flying, get a low level Pteranodon, make some parachutes and bolas, fly ABOVE the Tapejara, then, with your Pteranodon on follow, jump off, activate parachute, and bola it.

These guys are known to fly high and stay up high for long periods of time, chasing them into or near a taller structure will result in them flying higher most of the time, your best bet is to find one that is on the ground or is close to a tall structure already to bola and tranq it. Be careful with headshots they are pretty squishy.
