Chapter 9

The four creatures teleported to the arena. They were in a huge place, surrounded by huge mountains, and there was also snow everywhere.

“Finally, your here.” Said the megapithecus.

“Why weren’t you speaking earlier?” Asked Lava Rock.

“Only at this vault I have more power. Now that I am close enough I can speak.” Said the Megapithecus.

“The vault?” Said Magma, who was confused.

“The vault. Isn’t that what your after?” Said the Megapithecus.

“We were only sent to kill you because you were causing havoc.” Said Magma.

“Who has sent you?” Said the Megapithecus.

“The Overseer.” Replied Magma.

“The Overseer... He has only sent you to defeat the guardians. The dragon was the leader, the strongest. He was guarding the first vault, with the most important things. The overseer changed the course of the terminal to take it to his lair, where the dragon would die. I protect this vault, the second one with the mechanical parts. The broodmother, who was killed a long time ago protected the third vault, with the extra, non-important things. And the threat he speaks of, is only ally. Rockwell is only doing it for power, and in the overseer’s final moments he will betray the overseer.” Said the Megapithecus.

“Then why do you beasts cause havoc?” Asked Fire.

“We are to also reset the ARKS we are protecting.” Said the Megapithecus. Just then, a blue portal opened, and the Overseer, along with many attack drones and defense units came through.

“It seems he has told the truth. In your current state, you cannot defeat me.” Said the Overseer.

“This rex is nothing, none of you are strong. Strength is mostly quiet when he is listening or not in battle.” Said the Overseer.

“How do you know my name?” Said Strength.

“I control the ARKS and listen and examine every little thing, big or small, loud or quiet, it doesn’t matter. I know everything.” Said the Overseer.

“Kill the Megapithecus, units. Leave the other creatures to die. I’ll just shut down this ARK.” Said the Overseer. Then the attack drones and defense units attacked the Megapithecus. The gorilla fought back, and occasionally a few other gorillas from the gorilla army would join the fight. Magma tried to shoot lava and get closer to the units, but a invisible wall blocked him. After a bit, the Megapithecus fell to the ground, dead. The defense units went into the vault, which they somehow spotted it through the snow, and then came out with the mechanical parts.

“You won’t get off this ARK in time or even stop me.” Said the Overseer.
