Not a tip but a complaint. I made a quetz catcher and then a foundation was glitched and I couldn't just demolish it for some reason. So I whack it and then I hit it 5 times and my quetz some how dies. And it had had 1,531 health.

To solo tame, get tranq darts and hop on the front seat of a tapejara and wistle attack my target then passive when it gets close and start shooting, repeat until unconscious.

When raising quetzals don't get twins like me. Takes wayyy toboing to raise one

Mosquitoes can hit your Quetzal in a Quetzal Cage. So be cautious.

Use a argent to pick some one to trank the quetzal

If you want a good Quetz be sure to kill a low level so there could be room for other Quetz

Knocking out without a Quetzal in an easy way; take a high melee Scorpion, put it on aggressive and grab it with a high stamina and decent speed Argy. Then fly next to the Quetzal and follow it, until the Scorpion knocked it out.

Don't use a quetzal with a person on it and with a laggy server

To tame a quetzal easy have a friend with u and a Argi best way and make sure u protect it when u knock it out

The fun way is to jump off your argy and grapple to the quetzal and whistle it to land and since argies are slow it won't land on the ground in time so tranq till it goes out also bring parachutes and consider lkiing so more people will know

I'll give you an easy tactic to tame it: if you have a tapejera, sit in front of it, change your position, then point to the quetz, and then your tapejera It will follow you and be right behind you, and since you'll be in the other seat, you'll be able to use your weapon on the tape recorder and easily tame it, but don't aim at the center hit tape

It's not that hard, y'all are just weak,

1. Net projectile

2. Trap it with gateways Incase net timer runs out

3. Tranquilizer

4. Feed mutton or kibble

5. Finished

You can tame this guy solo without a tape by popping a rare flower on a flying mount and lead him down to a behmoth gate trap. Then just tranq him

Here's how to tame a quetzal without risks

1- tame a low level low melee tape Jara

2- find your quetzal

3- switch to tape's middle seat

4- whistle attack on quetzal

5- tranq easily

6- feed kibble or prime meat

7- activate hunt argy pursuit

8- get the saddle

9- enjoy your risk-free tamed quetz!

The best was in my opinion is killing it and using a revival platform in a house but it costs amber

You could use a rhynio in modern ark to solo tame it, you can shoot off the back of a rhynio, and I believe a rhynio is faster than a quetz too. Or you could use the sap to send it to the ground. Point is, rhynios are a great thing to tame a quetz. i do recommend. You could also sap a quetzal to the ground and build a thatch box around it.

Quetzals are difficult to tame for sure but here's 2 methods to make your life easier.

1. Simply just chase him with a pteranodon and tranq out with darts.

2. Build a 1 by 100 so it's super tall then build a trap at the top and go by the quetz and eats rare flower, lead it into the trap then knock it out with tranq darts

The level 45 amount of kibble needed on concel is wrong as it only needed 6 out of the 15 it told me it would need

As long as you have 2 people, an Argentavis with plenty stamina, and plenty of tranq darts, this is not a problem to get. Have the better shot, shoot tranqs until it falls. I’ve found it best to fly straight at it from slightly above since tranq darts have bullet drop. This will also prove easier to see where the target is. Along with this, remember to not tranq it over any body of water, it will sink and your work will be for nothing. Keep narco berries and higher quality meats on hand for the taming process, or at least enough to hold the bird over until you can make it to your home and back with the resources necessary.
