Tips & Strategies

What are tips for quetzal? Tips and strategies for quetzal in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
you can get an eerie version of this in mobile singleplayer using
- a tek kibble processor
- an implant of a quetzal (doesn't matter if its chronicled, dead, unclaimed)
-1 eery element
-some kibble
-common sense
step one: get a quetzal implant
-common knowledge, either kill a quetzal, or chronicle a tamed one
step two: get at least 1 eery element, some high quality kibble, and a tek kibble processor
-you can get a tek kibble processor *blueprint* from certain chests in dungeons, if it is one of the primary rewards listed on the "view rewards" tab
-you can get eery element by killing a dungeon boss
-recommended you use kibble from eggs of large creatures, like rex, spino, bronto, theri
-after you have built a tek kibble processor (fairly expensive), put the implant, kibble, and eery element inside it
step 3: save scumming
-this is where common sense kicks in, there is a mechanic of ark mobile singleplayer called "manage save file", you can find it below the button where you play singleplayer mode in the menu
- you can save your progress on one save, and if the tek kibble processor consumes the quetzal implant, restore your save file and try again
-it is a 1% chance of turning the implant into an eerie one, once a menu pops up that says "something erry happened" you now have an eery quetzal implant and you can now revive/recall your quetzal using a revival platform/obelisk
If you somehow encounter a Quetzal on the ground and you can't fly up there to shoot at it, forget it. It's impossible to shoot at it from the ground it doesn't hit the Quetzal. Just get a flyer like the PTERANODON, GRIFFIN, or TAPIJARA, and you should be fine.
Net projectile+gateway = easy tame
Just hop on any flyer, then jump use parachute, shoot the net then put the gateway wait till the net is gun then shoot it with your tranq or darts
The ULTIMATE Dino team: island, mobile compatible too
Tanks: 3-5 sarcos, a therizno, and 2 brontos
Scouts: high level raptors, and mabey some sabbers
Attackers: 1giga, 2 spinos, and a Rex (if no giga spino is great sub)
Pursuits: (not on mobile) a small team of pegos with some itchy seagulls both are to drain supplies
Ariel team: idrk about aerials so I’m thinking a quiztle and some pteranodons and tappys canons attached and riders with bows
When attacking a op tribe with these dinos here is a good strategy:
Send the scouts to survey the camp, and report back. Send the aerials first, they will be kinda of wave 1/2 and will distract the op players and keep eyes mostly off the ground. Then send in the pursuits. They will rob most of the players out of their stuff and distract them. Now, start moving in the tanks and the attackers. Have the brontos break through any wall that keeps the others from getting in and then start demolishing the base. Have the raptors and sabers stay at the edge of the base to catch escapers. With this strat you will totally ruin someone’s day but become sooo op if u

I've found easiest way is off a Griffin. Can do solo with ease. Just watch where you drop her!
It's a great dino for traveling but the problem is whenever something hits this thing that hasn't touched grass it dismounts and runs away it's annoying af
So Your best bet is to tame a army and get the saddle and grapple on your bird with darts BEFORE YOU GRAPPLE ON TO YOUR BIRD PRACTICE AT YOUR BASE I DIED BECAUSE I DIDNT PRACTICE DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE Enjoy you need to use a cross bow to use grapple and drag the grapple on you crossbow 🥳🥳🥳
Guys I need help. I’ve been looking for 2 days straight and haven’t found a single one. Please give me some tips on where to find them on the the island map
I love seeing these giants birds flying past us
You can just bet gun it and if there are a few of you, you can easily knock it out but if your in single then I recommend using the tapejera method which is also really efficient if there’s a few of you as you can easily take some low level tapejera and shoot off the back of it 10/10 recommend. Consider upping it for more people to see?
The easy way to do it is with a griffin, they allow rider weaponry so you can just fly close to the quetzal and snipe, continue this process until it is down
Single player uses:
1. Dino carryer: It can carry pretty big dinos (biggest dino it can carry iirc is Allosaurus), dinos that would otherwise be a pain in the ass to tame can just be grabbed by a quetzal and dropped into a cage
2. Mobile base: It's basically a flying Paraceratherium, you could even build the aforementioned cage on a second quetzal
On Ragnarok, I've found some close to the blue obelisk, near the border (where the map ends until they release the rest of the map).
Use desmodus and tranq gun. Easy ko
