These guys are great for metal collection. Movement speed 757% is enough to get you from herbivore island to the volcano on the island in about 30secs to a minute, and 9000 weight is about enough to bring back the metal u need for an industrial grinder with the same speed. IK it’s kinda hard to lvl it that much without Ascendant creatures tho XD. Anyway, Quetzals are good for collecting tonnes of the heavier materials even without lvling them into oblivion. I used mine to bring back 5000 metal. Patience is key tho, coz these things are SLOW AS. Took me half an hour to bring it back to my base 😂.

The longest way to tame a quetzal✨, first get 100 amber, and then find a griffins at the north west mountain in the island, pick a high level griffin, buy a change name card using 100 amber, and then use that change name card to change your name with the griffin you want to tame with its initial ( i cant explain it any better, just search it up in yt ) and then once it gains respect to you, lour it to your trap, and the give it narcotics after knocking it down, and then go to the south cave and get the artifact, and now tribute it to any obelisk and you'll have a chance for a 10× soothing balm, and then put raw prime meat in the griffin and the soothing balm, and once its tamed, go get rifle with tranc dart, and then knock down the quetzal while riding the griffin, you're welcome.

I've been looking for these things in the mobile revamp version. I found that if you don't find them near the obelisks, you should keep killing stuff there and leave the area, then return to keep killing until they spawn. There's also a good chance you'll find them in the redwood area; for instance, I found three of them flying above the redwood trees right in the center of the mountain. Another tip is to try eating rare flowers and then use a trap, or you can use the slow flyer grapple tactic to catch them.. Hope it helps people find them.

Easy to get in a trap, first get a harpoon launcher and then get net projectiles guide it to a safe area then using a griffin shoot it wit the net it will fall to the floor then place 3 stone Dino gates over it and boom when the net stops holding it it won’t be able to move. Be warned if it wakes up after you leave render it might glitch through the trap make sure it doesn’t wake up. Hit the good button so people can learn - potato

Don't bother finding it. It finds you lol. If you even try to find it then you just wasted time if you didn't find it cuz ARK is pretty much weird. If you found a quetz unprepared then request a flying dino(with decent damage or any flying dino if you really want the quetz) then chase the quetz and kill it then get its implant. After getting the implant then get yourself spawn pod(?) Or spawn it at an obelisk BUT REMEMBER! MAKE A TAMING PEN AROUND THE OBELISK OR WHERE YOU'RE MAKING THE SPAWN POD(?). also while you're doing this, get some amber(for mobile)! Trust me you have alot of time getting amber since the implant expires for about 2.5 days(?)

An easier way to trap and tame a Quetzal is to kill it, take its implant, build a big cage around an Obelisk, and revive it. You can then spam tranq arrows at it and tame your beloved Quetzal. Good Luck, Mate! ~WildRapter

If you don't have any flyers you can grapple the quetzal and shoot him from underneath and also remember to put a parachute on your hotbar and once it gets ko equip your parachute and feed it either kibble or meat

Have encountered south of green obelisk, north east by swamp of red obelisk, above the mountain in center of red wood forest, and flying around argy mountain.

If you can't find quetzals on a map use this> admincheat distroywilddinos. Then they should start spawning in(warning this kills all wild dinos).

For my first Quetzal, I was on my Pteradon and had my friend being carried with a crossbow with tranquilizer darts. I had to chase it for a good 20-40 minutes. He had to get the perfect angle. Probably isn't the most effective way,but still works. When we found another that was Tek, we used our Quetzal to follow it around and shot it with tranquilizer darts. It worked a lot faster.

Solo players. Best way to tame this beast is to get a Griffin on Rag by making a trap with stone Dino gate, pillars and stone ceiling. Use a ptera to kite it into the box, dismount and shut the door behind you then knock it out with tranqs. Farm mutton from the nearby Highlands to tame.

Using a Griffin to tame is very easy I found because the Griffin's are like little helicopters you can fly around it while shooting the Quetzal with a bow and tranq arrows. And then if you're too high up when the Quetzal knocks out you can dive below and catch it a few times before it hits the ground

I tamed one by getting it to aggro on me by taking her egg then led her to my argy trap, But it wasn’t easy although I think it’s an easier way

uhm when i fed my quetzal potent dust it kinda got knocked unconsious and it has like 6500 torpor so its gonna take a while
