Would be helpful if it stated how much flamethrower durability and how much flamethrower ammo was needed to tame this. Even a system like the tranq where you can put in damage of a bow, flamethrower, or wyvern and it will tell you how much of each it will take.

If you can transfer- use a griffin + flamethrower. Wyvern works well too but I had better luck with the former method.

When u Decide to tame this boi,u need to get a few things. He only spawns during Heatwaves,they last for only 5 to 7 mins i think ,so be fast with looking.And it spawns on the WHOLE map.U will need a trap for it,i really recommend u STIX FX Entertainment's Video,it worked for me. IMPORTANT:What he didnt mention is that u NEED to build another trap on top,because the ash pile spawns over the trap.U need fire wyvs with good melee or oil jars with a flamethrower or flaming bow and arrow. Wyvern is best i think,if ur more ppl then its a fast and easy method!And u need a lot of luck and patience to even find him, but if u found him,hold on and DONT GIVE UP.Its really worth it,i tell u.It is an awesome feeling when u got it! 🪶Hope it helped u! So if you find one here’s a good tip if ur high level and are playing this map for fun this tip isn’t for everybody if you have a tech bow then u can equip fire arrows and instant tame it but u still have to find it it’s best to look at night and then get the over all spot then tame a parasaur (I think that’s how you spell that) and do the search thingy I do know this world on computer haven’t tried it on console but tech bow fire arrows instant tame but that’s how you tame it with that and a good way to find it hope you do find it with my tips and have a good day

It shouldn’t be called “Passive tame” it should be called “Aggressive tame” most of them should.

Don't know if it's a bug but I tamed a phoenix while it was in its ash pile, using a fire wyvern. Hope it helps

Alright so I literally just found and tamed my very first phoenix after weeks of searching with no luck. I had originally used the parasaur method to scan around, then I would frantically fly around during heatwaves, again with no luck.

I just found one by using a Tek Stryder with the Radar rig. After about 30 minutes of wandering around scanning I finally found my first pheonix. It was located behind the mountains of red ob in the desert but they could literally be anywhere so don’t narrow your search to the red ob mountains!!!

Tag one while flying with a fire wyvern in order to start the tame tracking, then wait for heatwave to end, tracking will show where it is underground so you can build a trap.

Using a fire wyvern makes taming easy (leveling melee on the fire wyvern helps tame quicker)

Use a sonar stryder to scan for phoenixes outside of heatwave. It can reveal the invisible phoenixes as well as tell u what lvl it is

Best to follow it, and watch it's ashes fall. Build a *5 high* trap with stone doorways. Make sure it has a roof. At the next super heat bring over a fire wyvern. Use rare flowers to lure it closer to your base just to make it easier.

You find this creature during heat waves so what you do is lure it next to your base it will then turn to ash when heat wave is over then you build window wood walls around and put a roof then all you have to do is wait till next heat wave then take a Wyvern or flame flower and light em up!

ITS FRICKEN TORCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT TOUCH OR TROUCH ITS TORCH!!!!!!!

oh and Phoenix is super easy tame wait for heatwave then find the ash it leaves behind build 6wall high and 6wall long trap and boom u got a Phoenix.

And it craps out silica and black pearls.it’s also cooks meat and smelt metal

the only problem with the Phoenix is that it's kind of hard to find it's spawns everywhere on the map so you're gonna have to look all around the map to find one I recommend a parasaur when you find it and it turns to ashes use it the parasaur and then use some type of trap search it up online and I recommend oil jars and a torch I don't recommend using a bow with flame arrows it will decrease taming effectiveness to the ground

Trap it in a stone /adobe monkey trap and put a roof on fast. My opinion is to get a fire wyvern or a catapult with fire projectiles and attack till tamed.

Easy, Wait till the heatwave is over then when ashes are down build a cage 5 walls up over the. Itll spawn and be trapepd, Then use oil jards. The more you use the faster it tames.
