What I seen meant to work to find a phoenix is to use a wyvern and pick up a any animal that can detect a enemy and once you find the Phoenix build a trap and use oil jugs when the heat wave comes use a flamethrower and then continue from there

Ark should make this thing a living forge since it's a fire bird

Torch it with a fire wyvern.

It is very useful to snag Wyvern eggs or kill rock golem,if you're putting up with wyverns just hold space on pc,the fire is so aggressive all wyverns rendered will catch on fire even fire Wyverns or Wyvern corpses.and for rock golems the Phoenixes fire burns it for considerable damage.

Trap the ashes and then wait till the super heat comes back then burn it

OK so you go into a heat wave and go searching for it and tame it using

non-passive passive taming... BURN IT UNTILL YOU TAME IT!!!!!!!!!! its Passive taming but not all that passive... yeah... good luck with that Moltres...

It eats sulfur only for those who dont know. So if yours doed and you dont know why it probably starved to death.

The higher the damage of the weapon the faster it tames, so attacking stat on wyverns matters when taming, and the damage percent of the weapon firing the fire arrow, and the dmg percent of the flame thrower also matters

I found one after about 8 heat waves... but it’s ashes landed by someone’s base so I can’t trap it 😔... does eating flowers get it’s agro so I can move it?

The best way to tame it is by:

1.bring a friend with a fire wyvern and flame thrower

2.don't even think to dismount your wyvern

3.you can make a trap with metal "ser the trap in youtube"

4.enjoy your forge and cooker 🙂🙂🙂

If you can’t find the ashes but know the general location of where the Phoenix was, use a Parasuar set to “All” to detect it.

Can fly in super speed, but consumes a lot of food during this. Can fly faster than a wyvern when super flying.

A Phoenix tear can heal any wound

Its quicker to tame with a fire wyvrm, after feed it sulfur cusit doesn't easy anything else.. also you don't actually need a parasaur unless you're trapping it..you can actually ping it from the dino finder

When u Decide to tame this boi,u need to get a few things. He only spawns during Heatwaves,they last for only 5 to 7 mins i think ,so be fast with looking.And it spawns on the WHOLE map.U will need a trap for it,i really recommend u STIX FX Entertainment's Video,it worked for me. IMPORTANT:What he didnt mention is that u NEED to build another trap on top,because the ash pile spawns over the trap.U need fire wyvs with good melee or oil jars with a flamethrower or flaming bow and arrow. Wyvern is best i think,if ur more ppl then its a fast and easy method!And u need a lot of luck and patience to even find him, but if u found him,hold on and DONT GIVE UP.Its really worth it,i tell u.It is an awesome feeling when u got it! 🪶Hope it helped u! After heat wave is over where the Phoenix went into ashes next it heat wave it’ll spawn there! -TBFlame

There only found during SE Heatwaves but when you find one wait till event ends trap around its remains ( they spawn at that place when the event starts back up) then when it spawns again flamethrower it until it tames or just throw a oil jar under it and light it if you don't have a flamethrower

This is another way if you don't wanna wait for the heatwave again get a flier with a taming box (preferably a Quetzal) and chase the flame bird until it gets stuck in the box make sure it can't escape and flamethrower it or do the second option I put
