Want to tame a Coelecanth | 100x? Look over here! Before we start, let's begin!

TAMING REQUIREMENTS:

-Taming Food (Kibble/ Meat, Soothing Balm if on Mobile)

NOTE: Mosas prefer meat of the raw category over fish (You can use mutton too).

-Knockout Weapon (Crossbow (Tranq/ Toxicant Arrows), Longneck (Tranq/ Shocking Tranq Darts) )

-Scuba Gear (Not needed but must follow method 2 if not worn)

-Narcotics/ Biotoxin

-Water Mount (Ichthy recommended)

Now, you're ready!

So, I would use these 3 methods for Mosas. Make sure to follow Method 2 if you did not bring scuba gear!

Method 1: TRAP

This method can be done by constructing a Argentavis trap (2 behemoth dino gateway, 2 dino gateway, 2 behemoth dino gate) and a small water mount (Recommended Ichthy) is required. Place the 2 normal gateways in a vertical position and add the Behemoth Gates to each side. Put both gates on both gateways on close off one side. Next, lure the Mosa in and swim out the gaps in between each gate with your mount. Quickly close off the opened side and boom! The Mosa is trapped. Begin the taming process and tame. Make sure to keep an eye on the torpor and feed it your narcotics/ biotoxin regularly, as it drains super fast!

Method 2: No Scuba Method

This method might be a little bit more tedious but it is very worth it as the method is extremely cheap without the need for gates and scuba. Get on your mount and lure the Mosa to a underwater RESOURCE cave, not the ARTIFACT caves. Lure it into the entrance and it should be stuck. Just shoot down the Mosa and go back up to the cave if you run low on Oxygen. Make sure to watch out when the Mosa torpor runs as it runs quite fast! After you have your Mosa knocked out, begin the taming process and welcome a new tame to your aquatic tame collection!

Method 3: The Cheaper Method

This method still requires scuba, but it does not require luring Mosas to caves. Wild Mosas have a certain limit they cannot swim across. Find that limit and park your mount above it. Swim under the limit to aggro and tranq and swim above the limit to de-aggro. Repeat this process and knock it out and tame!

Now that you have a Mosa, let's take a look at it:

Mosas are strong and tanky aquatic mounts, not to mention the decent speed. Their saddle is unlocked at 78. However, they have a platform saddle that is unlocke at 93. The normal saddle is pretty cheap for that level. The Mosa does not have any secondary attacks that I know of, only one downside which is that they are prone to electrocution effects, making it an unviable option for caves. However, they are great for underwater drop runs (Not in caves ofc), but be wary of the occasional electrocution.

That's all I had for this tip. Make sure to check out my other tips!
