Chapter twenty five: A evening stroll.

“Gosh I’m bored.” Cyra said. It was almost dinner time but they had to wait because of Nora’s “special” guests. Jack looked up and shook his head quickly. “Oh no. No no, we are NOT sneaking out o-of the castle again. Remember what happened last time? Citrus ratted us out!” Jack said. Cyra raised her eyebrows at him. “Um.,.it’s “Cyrus” not “Citrus” and don’t worry this time we WON’T get caught.” She said. “But what if-” Cyra interrupted him. “Come on scaredy-cat it’ll be fun!” Jack sighed. “Fine but if we get-get caught it’s your f-” Jack began. Cyra grabbed his arm and away they went.

Cyrus went into the library which is where Jack and Cyra had just been. They were gone. “Ugh! Not again!” Cyrus growled. He headed out the castle gates. He didn’t pay attention to the full moon starting to come out from behind a could in the dark sky, he didn’t pay attention to the twinkling stars or the fresh night air. He headed outside, determined to find Cyra and Jack.

Meanwhile Jack and Cyra were strolling through the moonlit forest. Cyra was still holding his hand. “It’s so beautiful tonight.” Cyra said, squeezing his hand gently. Jack looked around, uneasily. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” He asked. Cyra laughed. “Oh come on scaredy-cat, don’t be such a…scaredy-cat. There’s no predators out here.” Cyra said. “What ab-about the wolves?” Jack asked. “Oh pshaw! There are no wolves tonight!” Just then Cyrus ran up. “Cyrus what are you doing here?!” Cyra exclaimed. “The more important question is…what are YOU TWO doing here?” Cyrus asked. “Cyron I can explain-” Jack began. Cyrus strutted over as fast as possible and yanked Jack’s hand away from Cyra. “Cyrus please-” Cyra began. Cyrus suddenly shoved Cyra away harder than usual. Cyra hit the ground, out of breath and unable to move. “Hey! Be careful! What’s your problem bruh?!” Jack asked angrily. Cyrus sneered. “I warned you! I warned you not to mess with my sister!” Cyrus yelled. Cyrus’ medallion suddenly began to glow but he didn’t notice it. “I didn’t mean to-” Jack began “No you listen to ME!! Never-” Cyrus paused suddenly, his body going rigid. The moon had come out fully from behind the clouds and was shining down on them. “Cyprus- I mean Cyrus? Are you okay?” Jack asked. Cyrus began to shake and he clutched the sides of his head desperately.
