Imo one of the hardest tames in Ark, especially on the island (he is 3 times on the map to the same time and possible spawns are upper and lower south cave, central cave, carno cave and lava cave and he is very hard to see because he sleeps during the day)…but he is really worth every second of taming, my personally favorite…

If you find one be prepared that you just get him out of 2 caves on the island (lower south and central cave or you tame 2 in the others and breed an egg) or maybe through glitches

For fighting: knock him out when night starts, sounds stupid because he is much stronger then…but if you use a grappling hook on he spot where he can’t attack you…you can knock him out easily...the good thing is that he sleeps through the morning till it gets night again, so he won’t wake up that fast and maybe you just need to shoot him down for one time...but if you knock him out during day, be prepared to knock him out again when it becomes night again…good luck survivor! :-)

Don't tame one in the transition of day-night. I was feeding him kibble, he was about to be tamed and darkness fell... He got up, I had to re-tranq him and even though he didn't lose a lot of the taming bar, my kibble disappeared :(

Megalosaurus is best Dino but if you want to tame make trap and trap it there good for boss fight we tamed lvl110 on switch aberration it takes with 5700hp and 275% damage. I just got app so sorry if this doesn’t help.

On Lost Island, these guys also spawn outside of caves! I saw one in the snow biome near the wyvern trench.

If you want to tame one in ark mobile go on a cave exploration where you can get artifact of the clever you can get soothing balm when you when you give the artifact in the obesilisk for faster tame

Be careful! These guys can grab argents. I didn't expect him to be able to grab something that big. I thought it was small dinos only. I boxed him in at a cliff face with 2 behemoth gates and started shooting, but somehow he scaled the small cliff face and snatched my passive level 256 argie up into his mouth and didn't let go until she was dead.

Thats a sleeping Megalosaurus.

It’s very rare, but I think they spawn in Vikings bay on ragnarok, because I was killed by one in that little bone thingy

These creatures are my FAVORITE! Like they are just one of my main Dino’s. They are also the only creatures that can sleep on ark mobile. I’m very proud of ark mobile because I’m so glad that these are easy to tame AND are on caves. If they were on dungeons I would cry. I hope this is helpful. Stay rage at night my friend!🌕

When I tried to trap a Megalosaurus,it literally fazed its way through the stone door.(my honest reaction 🤔🤨💀)

If breeding make sure to have lots and lots of meat stored. Must be awake at all times because when sleeping it won't eat and starves. Let it knock itself out to raise.

They can fit through double doorways, don't build your trap out of them on abberation

Be careful in caves....I swiped it with my sword thinking it was a carcass but it was sleep on the floor. Kept chopping and survived but yeah...watch it

Best way to tame them on the spot is with raw prime

Titanoboas tend to spawn near them,knock out the megalosaur,kill the titanoboas, feed the megalosaur the prime meat and boom you got yourself a dino shaker 9000

They can fit through double doors at least that is true to Xbox one players or it might have been a glitch
