Fun fact: megalosaurus (name translates to “big lizard”) was the first true dinosaur found. Discovered by Richard Owen, he thought it was quadrupedal (walked on all fours) and resembled a crocodile-lion cross. Later he would correct his data and soon classify this group of extinct line of ancient lizards as “Dinosaurs”.
If you play abberation tame on. Due to it always being half day, half night it gains it's night buff all the time. This making it sooo much better than it usually is.
Now you dont lose the taming progress when they wake Up!!! Devs fixed that. You can re-knock em down again with no loss of effectiveness or taming progress! Dec 2021
I went to the central cave and knocked out a level 300 female megalo, but it went into the water before unconsious and then died there due to oxygen. Now I have it's implant of level 300. Should I revive it with the cost of 31 Amber's? Is it any worth to invest that much of ambers for it? If yes then up and if no then down.
I jumped on top of a sleeping one thinking it was a rock...
Don't put kibble on until it's fully starved! It will wake up when it transitions to night (20:30) and you'll lose your kibble.
Do people even tame these dinos anymore. They are amazing but don't get the recognition they deserve.
Make this more popular if you want the megalosaurus to be noticed more.
If u don’t let them sleep then their torpor will increase and will fall unconscious hope you found this helpful
Tame the mega during the day! It is extremly slower during the day due to wanting a rest. It is a very strong dino, it has been tested to be even stronger than the allo! Be careful if you tame it at night ;) caw
People say that is easy taming on day rather than night, but thats not truth because they always wake up, no matter how much torpor they have at 20:30 in game, that will cause you to lose all your taming process, I always tame these guys by starving them 2 times and then the 3rd knockout I put the food on its inventory, thanks for reading
When I tried to trap a Megalosaurus,it literally fazed its way through the stone door.(my honest reaction 🤔🤨💀)
I ran into a megalosaurus when it was sleeping. I mistook it for a rock and ran right over it. It immediately lunged at me roaring. It scared me so bad i yeeted the controller across the room and floped onto the couch.😅
Pet it
Quetzal’s can’t pick up a Megalo but can pick up a Mammoth??
I think we need a picture of a sleeping Megalosaurus because he is difficult to see during the day
Im finnaly back guys! Average ARK player is back
Today we will look at the utilities and abilities of the Megalosaurus! So lets start and not waste time...
1.) BUFFS- Megalosaurus has a few tricks of its sleeve, despite being quite slugish during the day, in night you should really fear them since when its night this creature will have upgraded stats on its major stats like: Health, Melee Damage, Movement Speed. Which makes it more practically powerfull. So basically if you encounter one in night your just dead like acctually you can also find them on Mobile but only spawn in the Chamber Cave (Location: Middle of Map) and only seen in the pool of waters and near the Artifact, thats why some night tribes A.K.A (Night Raiders) often use these guys during sunset since they get their buff at 10:00 in the ARK Time.
2.) ABILITIES- Ok so lers move on to this guys abilities. So basically this creature is one of the first land dinos to pick up other creatures (not to mention the Mammoth, and Karkinos) so it could pick up a Dodo-a Baryonyx which is pretty ideal if you dont have a flier yet and best of all you can yeet them away from your jaw with a cool animation.
3.) TRIVIA (CUSTOM)- Did you know that Megalosauruses name in Old Greek Mytholigy in Latin stands for " Great Lizard"? And also did you know that Megalosaurus is the first dinosaur to be discovered! At first Scientist found a tooth which resembled like an horn/crest so they thought Megalosaurus was a 4 legged lizard but in the early 2000's we now know that Megalosaurus is a 2 Legged Carnivore.
Thats it for today guys!
Have a great day
The megalosaurus is one of the strongest therapods, but its nocturnal sleeping pattern make it significantly less effective during the day. The megalosaurus can bite and even latch onto enemies — including humans — and swing them around, hindering their ability to move. This carnivore is stronger than a Carno or a Rex at night, but during the day, it is much more slow and sluggish.~Steel Cookie 123
