Guys i lie a tropeognathus even at full thrust cannot catch a maewing if the user is experienced in gliding. The tropeo does come close in speed but a maewing has more endurance.

If you want to tame one in Fjordur, I recommend using a desmodus since they allow rider weaponry, so when the maewing tries to escape you can fly after them.

You can start any of the missions that require you to track and tranq dinos to get a free infinite net gun that you can use to trap stuff for up to an hour

How to get faster with a maewing:

1. Press shift 3 times before starting to fly to get a speed boost

2. Not flying up too much, only forward or down

3. Move your mouse (a little) down, right, and back up for a speed boost

They are adorable and amazing for traveling

Timers have been fixed but visuals have not been they no longer take 17 seconds it's much longer like an hour.

So it steals the baby dinos of other tribes I wonder if the person that has the meawing owns the baby after the meawing steals it

Great tame and are easy to use to get high speed.

There is a flat place with lakes where they spawn. You world need a harpoon launcher, crossbow and 15 tranqs (for 150 level) to knock it out. Maewing is a omnivore creature, but the Best option will be raw mutton. His food drain is quickly in the wild. This spawn is very dangerous because of Sarcos, Raptors and Gigas.

On fjordur don’t go to the lake in redwoods because there is a chance you will find none or just one. Instead go to the telporters and go to the one that says Asgard, then if you find this little portal that says hati and skoll go around that area and you will find a ton of them.

Put preserving salt in inventory to make spoil time longer🫡

These things are amazing tames to have, they are very fast to travel across the map and are very easy to tame and take few resources, I haven't experimented with the baby feeding trough and all that but I'm sure its useful, overall great early game tame that you should focus on getting

The best way to get around the map. Use crossbow to tranq it and use a fast creature to catch up with it if it flies away

This creature will spawn in the Eden Biome (plains biome) of Genesis part 2. It will be a large creature that can glide. Not sure how to tame it. When tamed, you can use it to steal other player’s baby creatures, or maybe give imprinting buffs or stuff like that to your own. The Maewing has a saddle that can hold at least 3 baby creatures from what we’ve seen.

Use harpoon gun and net launcher to tame

If you use raw mutton its very quick it took almost 15 mins for my lvl 150 maewing to tame

Breeding is very good too if you have two maewings you get 2 eggs

These speedy flying machines have no gender, which means when you breed them, you get two eggs instead of one! Great tames, they make it incredibly easy to get around the map. Very easy to knock out, make sure not to use too many darts, it could possibly kill what your trying to tame. If I remember correctly, you can tame them quickly with honey. If that doesn’t work because my memory is bad, then use berries or meat. I’m pretty sure they’re omnivores, but you can also tame them with kibble if that makes it easier. I found two ways to tame this guy, option 1. Place multiple billboards overtop of the maewing when it’s stopped walking so it doesn’t jump away. Or 2. Just chase after it with tranqs and wait until it stops agro.
