Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a dung beetle? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a dung beetle.
Correction to another one of my tips they only attack you if you attack them
In ark mobile at least you can kill one of these, take their implant, revive at a revival platform or an obelisk, bring it to your base and tame it safely. (These do attack you but don’t do a lot of damage)
STEP 1: tribe mates STEP 2: Fur armor STEP 3: Good pile STEP 4: clear the Chinese gate on carbon island cave STEP 5: clear the cave STEP 6: bring a phiomia as well as multiple birds such as argents and quetzals. STEP 7: Make pathways to the bottom of the cave to easily move dung beetles up STEP 8: make a 1x1 with a bed inside at the bottom of the cave STEP 9: make a pen to hold your dung beetles in STEP 10: Collect your 100 fertilizer an hour. (My tribe and I tamed 13 beetles today and that is what we have been getting to far)Hope this gives you a good method to getting dung beetles! Keep surviving!
What about massive poop???
Wtf they eat allosaurus Kibble!!!! Was going to go tame griffin then I stopped at a cave it says I can feed the allo kibble
Use ghillie armor and lay down when taming a dung beetle. It is a better way that having to make bug repellent.
Once tamed you can pick it up then hop on your bird of choice to move the beetles long distances in case you don't have a bird big enough to pick up the beetle
Shit yourself and feed your shit iv'e done it
A level 1 will produce the same as a lvl 150 so don't waste your time on a higher lvl unless you want some combat poop beetles
Where is the most common place to find dung beetles on the island?
Large animal feces is the best for taming these on official don't lose taming effectiveness on your high level dung beetles
One reason poop is useful.......finally..........to tame these guys.
Why can't you ride them it says saddle🤔🤔🤔
On the island map, they are easily found at large in chitin cave (volcano) and carno island cave, generally at higher levels (at the cost of higher risk). in chitin cave, use a spear or simple bow to aggro beetles which are near more dangerous creatures (onyx, arthropluera, etc) then lead it to the mouth of the cave where it can easily and safely be tamed, consider taming time required as small and human faeces will spoil much sooner than large, the difference in spoil timers being hours.
Can you feed it massive poop? Also how much fertilizer can it make from massive poop?
Dung beetles are a must have for any crop plots, so this guide will help you to get one for yourself.
1. Dung beetles eat feces, so the first thing you need to do is gather some, whether by farming it from your own dinos, or gathering it from wild dinos. The bigger the feces, the more progress and effectiveness it gives, so go for as large of dung as you can get. They can also eat regular meat, but literally anything is better, so never use it, if you are unable to get medium or large feces spoiled meat can be used for better effectiveness and progress than other foods.
2. Dung beetles are a passive tame, so all you need to do is walk up to it and feed it, and since it is slow and will wander like normal a trap is not needed but can be helpful, however like all passive tames they take around 10 to 20 minutes between the first and second feed, so keep that in mind when planning to tame one.
3. The biggest threat/difficulty to taming one of these is the risk of other hostile creatures attacking you or it when taming. As such it is wise to bring a weapon or tame to fend them off or to trap it in a space you and it will not be attacked.
Happy taming!
Absolutely the BEST for caving!
Wear ghuille armor and load soothing balm and spoiled meat , and one insect repellant in your bar. Apply repellant then sneak up and tame the very lowest level you can, before timer runs out. After it follows you out of the cave, saddle up and go back in. Now Everything ignores you!
I repeat: Everything Ignores you while riding on your Araneo!
Then tame as high a level Araneo and Arthropluera you can find using balm and spoiled meat. If you dont find one you like, just leave the cave and re-enter until you do. I got level 290 of each (on hard difficulty) in about an hour!
They suck balls
And I’ve never had one
Can you find this outside of caves in ark mobile??? Up if yes down if no and thanks
How to tame a dung beetle:
1. They're passive tames, you don't need to knock them out to tame them. They spawn in the lower south cave.
2. Make sure that you don't get attacked by other dangerous creatures nearby, I recommend bringing a dino (like a barry) to kill these creatures.
3. Walk up to the dung beetle, it won't run away. Feed it spoiled meat. Keep feeding it until it's tamed.
I hope this helped! Bye!
