What I do if I see a pack of them I first kill all the wolves I don’t want to tame and then once there all dead I knock out the one I wanted then I get almost 100 knock out berrys just in case I need more and I ride it home happily ever after

Use regular tranq arrows with an ascendant compound bow.

How to get high level wolf

1. Tame Arthro (leave it at tame spot)

2. Equip fur armor

3. Go to Snow cave (Artifact of strong)

4. Request your Arthro near yourself

5. Go inside

6. Find high level wolf ( really high level spawns inside cave)

7. Kill it with Arthro (no one will attack you)

8. Grab its implant

9. Revive it (use your skills) tame it and roll with it.

Always use the bola when taming it turns a very dangerous tame into a fairly easy one.if there is a pack you can attempt to lead one off by itself but only after the pack has killed everything and they start to spread out I have a pack of 11 wolves. There very deadly even to rexs a enemy tribe attempted to attack while I was away from base and I came at them from the woods when team mates stared firing flares the pack killed 2 rexs at level 103 and 98. I only last one wolf. They really are a great ride.

Pick up with RG,drop in safe place,bola knock out and voila

Sooooo I had my max lvl 450 cave wolfs breed and the baby was only lvl 437? Also when they were done taming they were at lvl 442, so why is the baby so low level? (Medium)

If u ever want to tame one u better bollar it or go up on a rock because when there’s one there’s tones and since they only spawn in the snow on the island they can be nearly impossible to tame and transport so good luck oh and I nearly for got its good to transport them away from the snow so you don’t freeze and don’t get killed by other creatures.

Build a 2x2 wood foundation, put two door frames (and doors) on opposite sides, surround with 2 high wood walls, and make ramps to the top. Grab an Argy with saddle, pick up, and drop in your 'Tameing Box'. Then walk to top and tranq as it can't run, attack you, or destroy the box. Use the doors to get in and out, two just in case it blocks one. How i tamed all of mine.

For pve, kill all direwolfs around the one you want to tame or tame them in packs for a pack boost. Get someone to pick you up with argy do you can shoot them with tranq arrows. Use argy do you can take it back to your base when done taking.
