Kind of useless now. The saber gathers more Meat, Hide, and Pelt so the direwolf is now obsolete.

How to tame a direwolf:

1. You might need a trap. Build a 5 by 5 foundation and use doorframes as walls. Make it 2 doorframes high. Then use ramps so you can walk into the trap and lead the direwolf with you.

2. After the direwolf is in the trap, shoot it with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.

3. After it's knocked out, feed it meat or preferred kibbles.

-You don't need a saddle to mount them.

My first hybrid was today direbear direwolf

On mobile, dire Wolf from the strong cave have super high levels. Kill a good one and revive it using implant and then knock it out for the best tame possible. It is much easier than to search one on the island.

The Unicorn on mobile takes griffin kibble.

I think that the dire wolf is a great mount don't get me wrong but when I was messing around with it(it does not have that much health) I nearly got I killed by a spino so yeah😔

Easy tame have at least 100 tranq arrows and a crossbow easy tames

Pro Tip: LET THEM STARVE!!! As long as there pack is not nearby you should be fine! I let my level 20 starve for about five minutes and came back to hacienda it tame in 30 seconds with regular meat! It’s amazing! Just make sure to watch that torpor, because they drop it somewhat fast.

So if you want one we'll I got a story for you I was out near the north with my raptor Tree 🌳 and we saw one so it followed us near home. So I decided to tame it I got some trank arrows 🏹 then one two to the head then boom I feed him some normal meat and then boom he my I called him Alpha it good. Plz give me a like up ⬆️

My base is near to lava cave one day I go to collect metal I found there are 3 ankys I shooked I tame 2 level anky his health is 700 I think when I make his saddle I break a simple rock I get 34 metals In my mind the anky is a alive pickaxe

If you have a Argy pick it up and fly to the trap u made you should drop and and heal yourself if your low on health (because it attacks you) and let the dire wolf kill stuff and watch out for other creatures it might attack them and after you gett it in your trap tranq it the frick out until it falls asleep that’s how I got my wolf Fox at level 28 (she’s currently level 230 and I’m level 66 for the newbies!)

Have a large a pack of at least two dozen and it can take out a Rex or 2 carnoes

Always watch their health not have a saddle can really turn the tide of a fight.

It's smart to either build a taming pen or use an argy to knock theses guys out. If you use the pen, you'll have to kite it there,so it's safer to use the argy. The higher levels are also worth the wait.

Here’s a way to tame one with no tranq items.

First craft about three bola in case you see something else that you want or maybe you might miss the first few shots

Next craft a wooden club and a stone pickaxe

Spawn at the second hard spot from the bottom, once you are there start walking toward the arctic while killing things with your pickaxe to get meat

Once you are there, find a dire wolf, bola it, knock it out with the club, give it the meat, and wait.

Sorry this was a bit detailed I didn’t know how to explain it any other way
