I once bred myself two baby wolves at the same time I was taming a mammoth. Let me tell you that was a TERRIBLE decision. After I had newborn wolves I realized how only had 20 more mins until I had to leave ark. I spent that time making sure the Mammoth would tame because I already had 3(Non imprinted) wolves. Atleast I got the Mammoth... I couldn’t keep both the wolves so I killed one hoping to get some meat to feed to its friend. It only gave me 1 prime. I had to leave for 1 hour. I came back to a dead baby wolf that had died about 15 mins before I was online. R.I.P baby wolf

These things are really fun to tame. I once knocked out a lvl 95 Female and a lvl 45 Male in the same trap. I stood there and watched youtube while slowly feeding them narcs while they tamed. Later on I had to leave and thus I realized. The lvl 95 was NO way near being tamed. I sacrificed the 95 to the 45 for food.

I tamed mines like this first I got on my archy picked it up dropped it into the taming pen shot it with darts gave it prime meat and new lvl 420 wolf

Trap it

Anyone know anything about taming a cave wolf that are above 150? Is it possible to do it?

Ok first you be caref7l and go were it can't go and kill it with a 🔫

What I did is take out its pack with my argintavis. There was a 120 and I wanted it so first I got it's pack to attack something so maybe the weaker ones were taken out, then attack the rest of its pack, when they are all dead the strongest one will be quite hurt. Wait about 10 minutes then tranquillise it with a longneck rifle. This will take some time so bring a few bola's and a dinosaur with lots of health if it turns around to attack you don't panic, simply get a spare bola and trap it again, you will take damage from this so as soon as its free trap it, if it attacks you keep swinging the bola and DONT run away because it's faster.

Use thank darts and a long neck rifle to ko faster while in a taming pen

Go to the strong artifact cave for mobile kill a high lvl one and resurrect it knock it out tame it you get insane lvls for it and if you are lucky you now have a a good wolf to help you on your journey

If you are on mobile, knock it out with a pan. I’m pretty confident that pan can knock out any level dire wolf! Even high level wolves. It works in one hit I promise

Get some tranqs and shoot em to the ground is the easiest way for me.. usually they die from me fists >YES I HAVE GOD MODE<

For some reason my dire wolf Luna is admitting red smoke suggesting she is the alpha I've got a male and two pups from her so I have created a pack so because of her height of level she is alpha?

Be careful when bolaing it dont bola it whenit close to you you can get stuck inn the wolf and you will DIE

They're the best "get around & gather hide/chitin" creatures. Really fast and does great damage. Easy to tame. Common in snow and Scorched Earth. Always stays in packs, so be careful! If you want to tame one, throw a bola or stand on a rock or something higher than its bite, then surround it with spikes for protection!

I recommend getting an argy and bring the wolf back to your base to trap it and knock it out
