I personally recommend probably making a mini trap for them so you don't get attacked while trying to tranq them but that's my preference but they are really good in battle so I recommend taming them

they had bad weight but the best tame for getting pelt. but keep that in your mind that bring a nother dino with you to put pelt in its inventory. but for attack and kiil other dinos i prefer direbear. best weight and health and melee damage.

Easiest way to tame is to pick one up on an argie, take it to a trap you’ve built(a square stone trap with a ramp will work fine) and tranq arrow it until it’s asleep and feed it meat then wait for it to tame. I’ve got 6 now all named after characters from game of thrones.

Go on high ground so it can’t reach yuh use a cross bow with lots of tranq arrows I prop would recommend raw prime meat or raw mutton it would be a good way to tame it quicker and use narcotic so it won’t wake up and murder you✅

One time I had no pets so I got my first Direwolf it nice but how well I had my tranq Arrows my narcotics raw meat and crossbow and bloa just 2 bloas I put the bloa on my Direwolf it stoped walking I got my tranq arrows and shot it in the face it used 5 tranq arrows in the face I got in the Direwolf inventory and feed it some raw meat I got to sleep my Direwolf tamed and yeah thats is how I got a Direwolf I was on level 27 now I on level 50. Bye the Direwolf level was 28 now level 50.

Find a pack, get off your tame with a loaded harpoon gun with net ammo, Agro them on you and aim at the first one and then run back to your tame with the rest of them following you and kill off the rest. The go back to the one you netted and start shooting it up with tranq ammo or arrows until unconscious. Put food in inventory to tame and it goes pretty fast.

Catch them alone and they are an easy tame they are bola able and a few arrows into em bam free tame -e

I tried to trap one but the whole pack followed me so I now I have 6😐

Before traping the direwolf you want

Kill off the other direwolfs that you don't want.

Net gun is your best friend! Build a trap around the wolf so it cant run away once the net runs out.

You can Bola these making it easier to knock out and tame

Tamed a level 150 with prime meat only didnt need any narcs

So I killed a wolf from the strong cave and it was lvl 885 but when I tamed it, it only went till 1000 now I know the lvl cap

Keep leveling up your melee damage. Get somewhere high and shoot it. Once nocked out, feed mutton or prime meat. Hope this helps!

Use bola then use tranq darts. If not then arrows. When down I highly suggest carno kibble. If you don't have access to that then use raw prime meat or reg. Meat. Then once it up you have a Wolfy friend! No saddle needed

If you didn’t know in mobile you can tame one of these from the artifact of the strong cave. First you have to kill one first then get the implant. Next get the needed amount of amber (close to 35). Then revive it, make sure that there there are gates around the revival platform to make sure that the direwolf doesn’t get out. Then you can knock it out and start the taming process. Make sure that you have a soothing balm.

Did this and now I have a level 840 dire wolf

If you are trying to tame a strong pack (which you should be) fly around on an argy and for every pack you find take the alpha away and tame it. Rinse and Repeat (sidetip:if you have a big enough base put 3 or 4 inside and set them on aggressive bye bye raiders;)
