And they drop very little meat so every time I take on a wolf pack I have to kill something else just to get meat to heal.

New player: Needs pelt. Checks dododex. Can't find sheep looking dino where suggested. Ok lets try the dire wolves instead. Builds boat and goes to snow area. After many failed attempts of trying to kill a dire wolf or mammoth dino decides to go back home. Sees a mammoth dino fighting a pack of wolves. Mammoth dino wins. Rushes to the spot and finally gets some pelt. Accidentally traps a dire wolf on boat not intentionall more of a glitch. Takes it home to herbivore island and trys taming it with a sling shot. After many trips of restocking stones. Manage to knock out dire wolf and tame it. Take dire wolf on boat to get revenge on all the dinos that bullied me. Some big whale dino knocks me off my boat rip. Try to retrace my steps can't find my boat or dire wolf. Tame flyer pt dino later on in a rescue attempt. No luck. Rip boat and dire wolf. Restarts the game from scratch.

Do not underestimate the fluffy doggos. These guys in the wild with a pack buff can easily tear through herds of high lvl Mammoth and even the occasional unfortunate Rex. If you go in the north, bring either a bird or a really strong mount with good AOE.

Is allmost always alone in scorched earth

These thing can kill a lot and are very fast so if ur in a pickle you can escape easily

I see a eire dire wolf and i wanted to tame it. It was alone so it was easy to knock out. IT SOMONS SOME FRIENDS. LIKE 20 AND MY ROCET LAUNCHER BROKE. MY ASULT RIFLE WAS ALMOST OUT OF AMO. I found a 135 that was better than my 150 breed and tamed wolves so level doesnt mean much

I don’t really like the winter biome because of its bs but we I went there I wanted a Mammoth and while taming it a pack of wolf ate it and I Tamed them all. Don’t know if this a win or a lose but all I say is they are great for caves, hunting, and traveling so I highly recommend to get one male and one female to Breed.

One time on SE I was playing and I found 2 Direwolves so I went up to one with my boomerang it was level 20 and I accidentally killed it while trying to knock it out,yet the other one was level 1 and I onocked it out and killed it by accident as well

Moral of the Story:Boomerangs can kill direwolves at melee distance
