Tame some from the hard snow cave, will be better then overworld wolves

Never never never get of your mount without looking around first i got of and a pack of 6 came and ate my mount then me.

To live as long as you can make a pack eat lots of food

In Scorched Earth, just drop any dino to tame, and it seems one of these things come out of nowhere.

Died to lvl 67 poison dire wolf (mods) .One bite I was lvl 70 in redwoods

If u ave a compound bow and metal arrows and are a fast shot take em on head on and shoot em in da face wen dey run at u

Be wary around these creatures, though they spawn alone you'll most usually find them in a pack. Even the toughest tame can succumb to a mate boosted pack if you're not careful enough.

If you're in an area with these guys while on foot I recommend carrying bolas. They'll likely run faster than you so 20 seconds will go a long way. If you happen to have stuff to do so you might be able to tame one in the process, assuming it's alone (which is rare).

If you're on PvE, you will be unable to pick up direwolves using an argy. I'm not sure about the Quetz though.

New player: Needs pelt. Checks dododex. Can't find sheep looking dino where suggested. Ok lets try the dire wolves instead. Builds boat and goes to snow area. After many failed attempts of trying to kill a dire wolf or mammoth dino decides to go back home. Sees a mammoth dino fighting a pack of wolves. Mammoth dino wins. Rushes to the spot and finally gets some pelt. Accidentally traps a dire wolf on boat not intentionall more of a glitch. Takes it home to herbivore island and trys taming it with a sling shot. After many trips of restocking stones. Manage to knock out dire wolf and tame it. Take dire wolf on boat to get revenge on all the dinos that bullied me. Some big whale dino knocks me off my boat rip. Try to retrace my steps can't find my boat or dire wolf. Tame flyer pt dino later on in a rescue attempt. No luck. Rip boat and dire wolf. Restarts the game from scratch.

Every said if it howls what happens when i pickup the Dire wolf?

I found a pack of them in the snow, their levels were high one was 145,140...I used my argie to pick them them up and put them in the pen. They were all female so i ahve 4 females. I used to have 1 male but it died to megalodons. I tried to jump from 1 ice berg to another and it fell off so it died

If you are being chased by DireWolves the AI is really buggy when it comes to water, simply flee into water.

They will give up nearly immediately and then sink and drown!

If you want go yeti cave with this you must use metal coller or gold coller it doesn't have any armor helmet is useless watch ads and buy metal collor

You can find and retrieve them from the snowy area with an argent

Anyone Who Seen This : Wait What?!!!

Me : the truth was trike has a medium attacking range whenever ride the trike and just keep clicking cause it will knock back the wolves whenever you find 50 - 100 - 150 or more than that.. you must tame it and focus it’s levels to stamina the reasons why.. it’s because if you encountered a pack of wolves let me say.. about 5 of them, well as long u don’t miss a shot with them ur stamina won’t be a waste also don’t charge at the wolves, let them charge you.. the reason why is... once they got knock back some of them might got to your left and your right and some of them also in your front, usually u have to turn and turn and turn whenever they were.. so let them charge you... actually u better kill them while they were howling or u better kill the alpha first.

Just play doom music when going to winter biome

Do not underestimate the fluffy doggos. These guys in the wild with a pack buff can easily tear through herds of high lvl Mammoth and even the occasional unfortunate Rex. If you go in the north, bring either a bird or a really strong mount with good AOE.
