I watched a pack of wolves take on a Yuty and its two Carno bodyguards. Can't say what happened next, a third Carno murdered me.

Bolas help a ton, but you still need a bit of luck.

They are great for caves and a 2 special abilities one you can smell if there's a explore notes and if in a pack can give a strent boost roer the leader o and packs they do more damage

Theres NEVER just one. If you see one theres 20 on the other side of that rock next to it....

Use an Argentavis to pick up, have a friend shoot with Tranq arrows while you hover for easy KO.

If you want to tame one than do this:

Bring some tranq arrows [20-30 just in case if you miss]

Find the one you want to tame

Tranq it out

Lead the rest of its pack to where you can kill them

Put some prime in its inventory [bring 10-12 just in case]

Then you will have a Dire Wolf

For the person who said they don't know why direwolves are the best angler gel gatherers, put ur doggo on the shoreline, go diving and kill an angler, then DRAG THE BODY to the direwolf and have it harvest the angler corpse OR go to the snow cave with a dire wolf and hunt the anglers living in the shallow ponds in the cave

These guys are great tames! Here is a quick tutorial to take them.

You need:

1x bow or better

1x bola

Amount of tranqs depend on the level.

Bola the direwolf then shoot it with your tranqs arrows then put meat in it's inventory.

Enjoy your new direwolf. They are strong and also make cute pets.

Easy tame they say wolfs dont come in packs they say....

The Dire wolf almost always stays in a pack, so when you see one, there are probably more around it. If it hasn't attacked you, turn around and run in the direct opposite way you saw it in.

Better if you kick a friend in the balls and dip.

These are relatively easy to tame 1. Lead it away from pack 2. Lead it to a Dino that won’t run away 3. Tranq it out 4. Feed prime or regular meat. Enjoy your new friend! ^

This is my favorite creature in the game, they are strong, fast, have decent hp and stamina.They are so easy to find and tame ,you dont even need a saddle to ride them.they gather pelt,hide,chitin,meat so good that you just have to get one!

I watched a pack of these killers destroy a rex but some of them died in the process but I tried to take them on myself and nearly died. NEVER and I mean NEVER underestimate the power of these killer dogs.
