If you stay in your swamp base a lot they will spawn frequently.

All you have to do is have a small room and carry it with your ptrenadon and shoot it with like 5 tranq arrows (if high level like mine)

They are really rare to find but once you do tame one get it out of the swamp immediately or else you will have to start the process all over again R.I.P my pet diplocaulus

Just use any bird pick it up bring it to your base or into a trap I made a mistake throw DO NOT RELEASE IT NEAR A WATER SOURCE OR DILOPHOSAURUS luckily my pteranodon was able to pick him up after he was tamed I personally love this animal so when the solos and raptor came I was mad by my bird toke out the raptor and saved him, now I keep him in my stone house

Im going to tame a diplocaulus first i saw it in the beach but i need bola club slingshot bow and tranq arrows i need to tame with raw meat with soothing balm and i name him Willie

I do believe you can use cooked prime jerky on these guys in mobile. You get like a 30 to 40 percent taming witht them if your short on raw prime meat. Up this if it works<3.

Finding one is not a problem, the problem is they are easy preys and get targeted by everything, so it’s a good idea to trap him with stone walls and knock it out

Kill everything aggressive near them, even tho it lives in the swamp, all agressive creatures aggro on them

For Anyone new I have only seen these guys in the swamp so I recommend an argy to grab one

Bro to tame it just grab it with your argentavis bring it to base and hit it with two tranq darts it's so easy

To tame diplocaulus you have to make sure you have a lot of fish meat or normal meat. Then if you are taming it in the wild you should build a small little area with walls or spike walls around the perimeter in case anything tries to attack it because diplocaulus are usually a top ten prey item for most things in the swamp. Finally find a diplocaulus and then rather take some time to push it into the small area protected by walls or just get a pteranodon ride the pteranodon and pick up the diplocaulus and then drop it into the small area then tranq it, feed it, and tame it. These can be a pain to spot cause of the overgrowth in the swamps etc. Just look for other dinos chasing something, I don't think iv ever found one that wasn't being chased by something else.

This animal is pretty nice to have. I don’t know it’s purpose yet. But it’s a pain in the butt to tame cause you have to worry about Baryonyx, and titanoboa. 😢

You think it’s all good just feeding it raw meat, so when I KO it I fed it raw meat then 36:28 later it tamed, waste of time but good for underwater experience.

Better pick up by Argy into a pen before taming.

I'd recommend getting a kapro and use it to grab one then take it somewhere safe then tranq it and feed it meat(if you have a kapro but want one to get black pearl or something)

HELP NO IMPRINT OPTIONS SOLVED

If you love these creatures like me and want to breed them to get better stats you’ll probably want to read this. So this isn’t about taming them I’m sure you already know what a pain it is to keep one alive after knock out.

Rule 1. When you breed them they must stay in water NO MATTER WHAT OR BOOM!

Also when imprinting there is no option to imprint due to a bug in the game but the way around it is by walking it over and over until it imprints.

When I say walk I mean swim it because remember rule 1. The first time walk for about a minute if no imprint happens then cryo it and walk it again and repeat until it imprints. Your basically just rolling the dice until the walk option comes but you’ll never see what it actually wants so walking is the cheapest option.

Rule 2. Wear scuba, your going to be walking it a couple times most likely. Your going to run out of stamina and the last thing u want is to go on land to get stamina and the baby diplo follows u remember rule 1.
