2 raptors and a rifle are good enough to hunt it down and kill the troop while leaving the alpha alive

It's climbing is fast but wild and hard to control. One of the worst things about it is trying to use the spy glass while riding. His head always blocks the view, no matter which direction you look. I find it's best to use the spyglass while climbing on something. His attacks are easily interrupted and it can be difficult to get off an attack while getting hit repeatedly. Recommend you learn how to do jumping ground pounds. It's their most reliable attack and strongest, but doesn't affect flyers. The attack is stronger the higher your falling from. Don't forget the helmet is left behind when you cryopod it. Need to have extras because they get damaged fast.

Kill its family, beat it until it is below 15% health, then feed it. You must do this to the alpha also. It should have an orange-red aura around its body.

Get a good weapon with lots of ammo, grapple near the bottom of a tree so they don’t run off and kill the betas in front of the alpha. Make sure the area is safe and the dinopithecus won’t agro to anything else and run away.

Highly suggest trapping them and killing all but the alpha

Pretty good tame, spawns on Valguero also.

Use a fire wyvern to kill all but the alpha because the alpha has the most health it should survive

If there are two dinopithecus that are the same level in a pack you don’t have to kill one of them to tame the other. I found a pack with two 140 females and was able to tame both of them together.

When far away from these guys their fur doesn’t load in so they look like naked mole rats, WTF devs pls fix

I just ran Into a pack of these in Valguero's southern Forrest.

All you have to use is a pt to kill betas might have to heal then just hurt alpha boom your good but don’t forget after hoping off your flyer keep a eye on it I’ve lost mine before lol

They spawn on other maps too like valguero. App has it wrong

They are too easy to tame simply use a rex kill all monkeys except the alpha the use prime it will increase 3x

As of Dec 2021 you cannot tame the juveniles because they’re too buggy.

Find a high level Dinopithecus and kill lesser Dinopithecus around it. After 2-3 Beta Dinopithecus killed, it will prompt you to bring the creatures HP down to 85% or below. At which point you will be able to feed the Dinipithecus Raw mutton, or Exceptional Kibble. Enjoy your Monkey, and don't forget...these things can equip helmets!
