Ark hates tamed castoroides and will go out of its way to kill them or glitch them

If you take the beaver to the swamp and ride edge you can. Gain Insain amount of berries. This is very useful for getting narcoberrys,plant species, and rare flowers

Wild casteroids will build beaver dams... these can be accessed as an inventory and generally have wood, cementing paste, and some sort of rare item, either flowers or mushrooms. Just only access these when no casteroids are nearby, as they will agro when you open it

I started hunting one for the pursuit and It took me around 10 minutes of waiting patiently for it to get close enough to the water surface for me to pick it up with my Argy.

if you find a one of these over sized slobs dams loot them hold down and loot them I use to have 10 wood now I have 1990 and a lot of mushrooms and rare flowers EPIC FIND and kill the beaver first or it will kill you pets and feast on you liver Lol

It's torpor drops very fast and if you try and take ANYTHING from their dam it can very much cost you armor or even your life. I am trying to take one at a low level and it is a nightmare because I can't get enough narcos.

So if you want some “easy” pelt or like not going into the winter you can just kill these small guys that will murder you with there fat teeth and will swarm you but also if you find one you have a chance of finding a beaver dam. JUST BE CARFUL OF MORE OF THEM AROUND

People say they should build dams when tamed and it would be cool but people would abuse it and breed and then they could have like thirty dams

Where ever it says "how many narcotics needed" on this app is a lie. You almost always need way more than is recommended on here. So do not plan your tames around how many narcotics this app recommends for it.

The castoroides have a rare chance of collecting fibre, but they get so little of it that it would literally take millions of years to get 2 stacks of the stuff with them. In mobile, they only get berries and don't collect fibre at all.

Get on a high rock u dumbos just kidding but srsly get on a high rock tranq it don’t get off even if it’s runs away and wait for the tranq to effect and boom a giant beaver but I’d recommend mojo berries

I swear I love this thing!! I was walking around on my equus, and I see a beaver dam! I have my legit unstoppable pack of barys behind me and I check the dam inventory. I find 700 wood , SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY CEMENTING PASTE THAT A LEGIT NEED LIKE A LOT OF, And a bunch of rare flower that I put in front of my creature graves 😭. And then I found ANOTHER one!! I'm like OMG same amount of stuff and same kind of stuff , but then I hear fighting , and like 6 beavers are gangin up on my baryonyx pack , I knock them all out with equus buck kick nd tame! wander and aggressive, imma rule this game 😁

If you met one of these guys just kill it and afterwards look for it’s dam, in the dam you will find between 200-700 wood and 100 to 700 cement paste WARNING don’t take the stuff out while they are still alive unless your a quick runner

If your below 30 dont fight this they do alot of damage if your gonna stole stuff fly with an argy carry a daedon then stole some good stuff then carry it back home dont forget about the daedon

So what I usually do in single player is build stone walls making a square shape, get and argyle grab them drop them in this keeps them safe from predators and from them escaping, just do and extra wall on top to be sure, then build a storage box where I have boLas, whenever I need their loot I just Bola them as this can last for about 30 seconds get your bird which will carry the loot in first stop them in the enclosure, then Bola or tranq them out which tranq in is more better especially if you have more than 2 and you can do this outside of the enclosure which is highly recommended because these guys cannot Destory stone once mobilized or tranq out get what you need fast and get out these guys torpor drop very quickly, and a very special note it's best to build the enclosure and leave these guys where you find them as they will have less chance of despairing don't waste your time taming these guys you get so much more resources when they are wild from their dams.

You can trap some wild ones in a small cage/trap made of stone to farm dams

If you are farming cementing paste then once collected kill The ones that start chasing you than wait 5 mins than another should appear this is how I do it
