How To Tame A Carnotaurus

1. Gather all the things you'll need. I like to bring with me 20 tranq darts, a simple long neck rifle will do just fine and bring about 30 narcotics, better safe than sorry.

2. If you have a flyer, fly over to carno Island which is located in the upper right of the map, once you get there you'll find lots of carnos, then it's just a matter of what level of Dino you want. I typically only tame max levels and I do that by flying around on my taperjara (but an argy would work also) and killing all the low levels until I find a max.

3. When you find your carno you want to tame you can either build a trap or try to knock it out without a trap. Typically I've done just fine without traps. I play on easy mode in Ark mobile so the max level is 30. Start shooting the carno with tranq darts, it will attack you at first so it's best to be on top of a rock that they can't climb. The tricky part is when they start torpor running, since there's water all around they could drown if they get knocked out in the ocean. When it is knocked out let it's food drain down by quite a bit and feed it the narcotics to keep it asleep. On mobile their favorite kible is the ankylo kible.

4. Have fun with your Dino!

With a primitive crossbow it takes around 2 shots to get it to start running and then the 3 shot knocks it unconscious. Good luck out there!

I was able to tame one by landing on a big rock and then I just kept shooting it with tranq arrows

How to tame a carno

Things you will need

10-20 tranc arrow

Decent crossbow

21 stone doorframes

4 stone ramps/stairs

1 saddle for after taming it

A bit of meat

3 foundation (stone)

1. Build trap 3x3 foundation (stone) then build walls 2 doorframe high leave one side 1 high

2. Place ramps on low side

3 carno in trap

4 equip crossbow make sure to put trance in it because sometimes it doesn’t auto set

5. Shoot tranc until nocked out

6. Feed meat not berries

7. Name it

8.equip saddle

9. Destroy trap

Well done you have a carno have fun with it just be carful they aren’t that much stronger than a pack of raptors

I was playing on island with a friend and we found a good level Carno near are base. So after I spotted It I “fashionably” tamed the carno and gave it to my friend as a birthday present. It was an easy tame, easy enough I’d say it could even be an early game tame in my opinion. I regret nothing. Other than how I forgot my low level Parasur the side of a cliff and it got killed by a raptor 😢 while I was taming the Carno

Are you annoyed of dying while trying to kill these things? We’ll not to worry! This is easy ways to tame a caos stubby arm ahh carnivore 😀👍

Way 1. Traps, make it out of stone, get 2 wooden ramps and a few stone doorways (NOT DOUBLE FRAME) make it about 3 foundations wide and 4 foundations long place the wooden ramps on each side and knock it out :)

Way 2. If you don’t wanna do this 👆🏻 Way do this way! If you have a flyer or you can outrun a carno, So if you see there’s lots of trees together in a tight space or a rock or 2 that can get one stuck try and get the carno stuck between though this isn’t the safest way it’s a way yk

Way 3. Park ur flyer on a tall rock, recommending a rock that is big enough when you hop off ur flyer YPU don’t get flung off the rock, make sure there’s no slanted areas on the rock where the carno can run up and if there isn’t try to keep ur distance back on the rock because though ur up high it can still sometimes hit you.

Such a good early game carnivore

To knock them out find one put all your stuff in a storage bin get a bow/cross bow and tranq arrows to knock it out run and hit it with your bow/cross bow. To tame it just get any kind of meat you like and shove down its throat

How to tame a Carno. Number 1, get regular kibble (if you have any), some narcos, Tranq arrows, crossbow, Four stone foundations, 8 stone door frame, and 2 wooden ramps. Number 2, Set up the trap, and lead the carno to the trap. Number 3, Knock it out until knocked out and feed it regular kibble or raw prime meat or raw meat. Make sure to secure the area. And boom! Carno tamed. Good for traveling.

For carno your gonna need a fast rideable creature or a flying one, then get tranq arrows or anything that can get it’s torpor down that you can use far away then shoot (Crossbow or Bow) and then run on your creature then move far away and lead to a safe spot or trap then shoot and repeat feed it prime or meat both work and you have your own early mid killing machine (for most creatures)

if u r a noob enough like me.then do this easiest way to tame this guy

1. get some large bear traps like 4/5 of em place them like a row lure him into the traps

2.get ur crossbow ready with some tranq arrow anr shoot him.

BTW FEEL FREE TO IGNORE THIS IF U R A HIGH LEVEL PLAYER. I USED THIS TRICK ON A LEVEL 5 CARNO(LMAOO)

How to tame: step 1

you can use crossbow or bow but I recommend crossbow with tranquilizer arrows. Step 2 shoot it till it starts to run away then continue shooting it till it falls down unconscious. Step 3 shove me into its inventory they eat it fast when I tried to get 1 it ate so much meat I tamed it within 10 seconds I was counting... -Ben

Pretty easy tame. I recommend using an argentavis or desmodus to aggro it. Then fly away but stay in aggro range. Lure it to a nice sized rock that it cannot get on then land. Dismount on rock and use any gun you can equip tranq darts with to knock it out. once it starts running fly your mount to the ground, dismount again and keep shooting. You can totally tame this with one player it will just be slightly more difficult.

Hey if u read the get XP notes and run and tranq the Carno tip (PS: That was me) make sure u r FAST ENOUGH before you try it so try to be at like level 40 or over and remember ONLY UPGRADE MOVEMENT SPEED thank u thats all if u see me on a server may name tag is EL_Capitan22 thank u

This is the FASTEST way to tame a Carno…

Step 1: Find XP notes and ONLY upgrade movement speed

Step 2: Find Carno and make sure u at least have a bow and tranq arrows

Step 3: Shoot the Carno and once it gets too close for comfort run only a little bit turn around and shooting repeat the process over and over until it starts running and now chase it down and keep shooting until unconscious feed it meat because it’s a carnivore and boom u have a Carno

PS: U can use the same idea for Rexs Theris Dire Bears Dire wolves Raptors etc

I recommend:

1. Make a simple trap out of 4 stone foundations, 12 stone door frames and 4 stone stairs.

2. Lead whatever Carno you are taming into the trap (I recommend a fast Pt)

3. Shoot arrows or darts at them

4. When it is unconscious and shove meat up there butt

5. When it wakes up name it a weird name and you have a carno

If you find it on a beach, get as far as you can in the water without swimming, then use crossbow with tranquilizer arrows. When it runs, still fill fill it up with tranquilizer arrows.

Here's an easy way to tame early on: Hunt raptors, they can drop tranq arrows. Get the bow engram(lvl 10). Tame a parasuar (they have decent health). Ride the parasuar, and knock out the carno. Make sure you can keep it knocked out. It does take forever to tame them.
